SECRETARY OF STATE RITCHIE SCANDAL IN PIONEER PRESS TODAY; AP STORY HITS STATEWIDE ON THANKSGIVING DAY
By Michael B. Brodkorb | November 22, 2007

Click here to read the story from the Associated Press. I'm sure Secretary of State Ritchie and his few defenders are not very happy that this story is appearing in newspapers statewide on Thanksgiving day.
I'll be posting between meals, so please check back to Minnesota Democrats Exposed.

Actually I am sure they are thrilled that the story is in today’s papers, since no one has time to read the paper on Thanksgiving day. This is even better for them then it being published on a Saturday. I’m sure this is why the AP waited until today to cover the story, to help bury it.

CCK: I totally disagree.

Good to see this story getting mainstream press coverage but they again failed to mention that Micheal and MDE have been “dogging” this for a long time.
A question is “How can we trust the legitimacy of the next election when the Secretary of State is an exposed liar. (Isn’t that a bit like the fox guarding the chicken coop?)
Here is a technique to safeguard your email address and catch democrats in this type of activity. Most “second generation” domain registrars (which are a lot cheaper anyway) offer 100 free email forwarding. You can get unique e mail addresses. that forward to your regular email address. It’s a bit like the old trick of tracking the source of junk mail by using a “unique” spelling of your name.
Here you use a unique email address that is forwarded. This is not an active email address (yet) but lets say I used catchademocrat@greglang.com If I used this email would be forwarded to my regular email address. If I only used it for specific purposes it would flag misuse. I use these where I think there will be “spam” because I can easily remove the forwarding and make the email address invalid. It doesn’t “corrupt” my primary email address.
You can also register “secondary” domains, usually for less than ten dollars per year if you want to keep the forwarding separate from the main domains. A non working example is catchademocrat@greglang.info I could set this up if I wanted to.
With domain names less than $10 per year and 100 free email forwarding per domain these forwarding work out to under ten cents each per year. There is the “people” cost but once you learn it an addition or deletion takes only a few seconds.
I don’t mean to recommend and second generation registrar but I use http://godaddy.com and http://directnic.com which is more costly but provides free and low cost hosting.
I receive no benefit from promoting these two second generation domain registrars.
If a proud conservative needs technical assistance on setting this up contact me through my website. I am making no money off this, I just enjoy seeing “democrats exposed”.
Good work Micheal and MDE!

Greg Lane, WTF?
MDE, Nice job. I agree with your newspaper assumption. My family read the paper before hitting the road today. Once we arrived at my relatives’ home, evryone there was passing arround the paper. This is the same as a sunday paper. keep up the good work.

Actually, the Thanksgiving day newspaer is one of the most popular, often purchased by many people who don’t usually puchase or read the “dead tree” version of the papers. They buy a copy of the “dead tree” newspaper mainly for the “Black Friday” ads http://bfads.net/ but it provides a great opportunity for people to “sample” the news section of the newspaper. I’m at a “Thanksgiving dinner gathering” with a copy of the Minneapolis newspaper almost as fat as a Sunday edition. People here check the ads of course but thye also browse the newspaper much the way I browse the packing material pages of a newspaper.
The newspapers try to put their best foot forward because the newspaper on Thanksgiving is looked at by a lot of people who don’t regularly read the newspaper. This is how you potentially get new readers. It’s much like a “breaking news” special edition. A lot of people buy a copy of the newspaper (911 attack or the I35W bridge collapse). I haven’t mentioned a thing but here at the Thanksgiving gathering a lot of people are browsing the Minneapolis newspaper we have here.
Virtually everyone grew up with newspapers and even in terms of technology, newspapers today are impressive.
At the Star Tribune it of course spoils it if they encounter that rabid democratic hack Nick Coleman, whose was rehire after 2000, a white male. When originally hired by the Star Tribune Nick Coleman’s father was a top Minnesota democrat and his Stepmother worked for the paper. Obviously no “nepotism” or “liberal bias” there when the Strib was retrenching and under pressure to actually hire women and minorities.
I don’t have a Thanksgiving day “dead tree” copy of the Pioneer Press here but suffice it to say that this is one of the most read news days so the Mark Ritchie story is not being “buried”.

Keep the pressure on this asshat, MDE.
Stay vigilant.

My dad was looking for a paper today- NEVER buys the Strib- he said it was sold out at two places. This scandal was part of our Thanksgiving dinner conversation- so hopefully there’s major coverage by conservative radio next week and then continual effort by the GOP lawmakers to get this guy out (and make Democrats choose sides on this issue).
I will be AMAZED if this arrogant, highly-partisan SOS resigns. His statements of “people can just unsubscribe now” — he’s not going to give in.

Why I like the St Paul paper. Along with the usual liberal MSM drivel, they do a good job of offering the other side’s viewpoint. Local section has a good story on St Thomas Acadamy’s new (and 100th) cadet colonel. And all-male Catholic military school must make the liberal wienies scworm.
Opinion page also had a very good column by Kathleen Parker. Going into the Presidents mind on Iraq and the wider WOT. A must read. Main points are the the President will do what is right, not what is easy. And why…..that creating democratic institutions elsewhere will lead to secuirty here.

Once again the story is disappointing because it leaves out tremendous details or ask obvious questions. Since the Saint Paul Pioneer Press has printed it can we ask what are they going to do to hold Ritchie accountable!!!
As for Ritchie saying that he wants the legislative auditor to do the investigation because it will be nonpartisian. Huh? He’s already violated the concept of being nonpartisian so why should he get nonpartisian treatment. Maybe he has waken up that if hearing are held or legistlature action takes place the attack on him will become bi-partisian since some DFL lawmakers will wakeup and not want to look like they’re covering up for Mark.
Of course the question is since people seemed to think they did their one story will there be even more stories?

It’s kind of funny: This story appeared on the Obits page in the Thursday Duluth News Tribune.
