REPORTERS “TRYING TO FIND MARK RITCHIE”

By Michael Brodkorb | December 6, 2007

This is amazing:

"Dennis McGrath: Mark, where does this investigation stand right now?

Mark Brunswick: Well for one thing we're all trying to find Mark Ritchie, which is unusual. I have to say that Mary Kiffmeyer, the previous Secretary of State, was herself subject to a lot of criticism, but at least from my standpoint, when you called her, she called you back. Ritchie has been incommunicado, both for the newspaper, for television…" Source: Star Tribune's Pig's Eye Podcast, December 4, 2007

Click here to listen to the complete podcast.

According to a dedicated reader of Minnesota Democrats Exposed, Secretary of State Mark Ritchie's office has room 300 North of the State Office Building reserved from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. today. I might stop by and ask Ritchie for an interview.

Just don’t put your name down when you get to the office, or his campaign will be shaking you down for donations.

I am sure he is off making sure everyones votes are counted. ;)

The DFL will have to force him out or deal with fallout in 2008 over this fool.

    Get in his grill MDE!

I’d look for the office paper shredder. Chances are good that he’s frantically shredding documents that would certainly implicate him of wrongdoing!

the problem is that the documents that should legally exist (the proper request for the lists and proof of payment for the lists) don’t exist!

Ritchie really has got his tit in a ringer.

Doesn’t this guy have SOME obligation to communicate with the media?

What nerve for a public official– especially one that claimed to be such a populist– to simply not respond to any media requests when he’s under investigation. You’re not a private citizen, you’re one of the highest ranking public officials in the state.

The arrogance- everything people hate right now about politicians is represented in Ritchie.

  8. Chet Says:

Richie is a gutless wonder chickensh*t. Hiding from the people like this shows his true (lack of) character.

  9. Chestnut Says:

Mark Ritchie is a goddam disgrace. It’s time to impeach his corrupt, worthless, arrogant ass.

“I have to say that Mary Kiffmeyer, the previous Secretary of State, was herself subject to a lot of criticism, but at least from my standpoint, when you called her, she called you back.”

Ouch! That’s gonna leave a mark.

This guy is indiciative of the DFL as a whole. The entire party ran last year on one set of ideas, but once they won they governed as extreme left-wing liberals. I hope Minnesotans notice that come next year instead of letting themselves be tricked by the DFL’s lies and Bush hatred cocktail.

Perhaps Ritchie is too busy with his SOS duties to respond to the media.

Even I have to laugh at what I just wrote.

We need an APB on the SOS, ASAP.

  13. Chestnut Says:
    December 7th, 2007 at 12:58 PM

You should put out a “Where’s Ritchie” book… ala the “Where’s Waldo” series.

  14. Scooter Fibby Says:
    December 8th, 2007 at 9:21 AM

All this fuss over some spam.

You guys should really get a life.

Here’s a few issues that really need addressing:

    - Global warming and the US participation in treaties

    - Diplomacy and the incredibly shrinking US stature

    - Manufacturing and the exporting of middle-class jobs

    - US Energy independence and alternative energy

    - The effect of strong schools on the economy

Pitiful that you spend all day every day not working for issues that really matter for the future, and instead try to tear down a public servant over some spam.

  15. Minneapolis Moderate Says:
    December 8th, 2007 at 7:42 PM

    Scooter.

    Too, too funny.

Please keep posting here. I haven’t laughed so hard since Margaret Anderson Kelliher claimed she was a fiscal moderate.

  16. Walter Says:
    December 8th, 2007 at 9:59 PM

    Okay Scooter lets see:

On Global Warming the US shouldn’t participate in the treaties. I do believe in the 1990′s when Clinton was President we voted something like 95-0 not to have anything to do with Kyoto.

US stature seems to be growing. The leader of France recently visited the United States and gave a speech praising the United States and their leadership. People have said in the past the United States should be more like France. And any success in stopping North Korea and Iran from developing nuclear weapons has come from strong diplomatic pressure. People hate the United States because we have the bigget economy and have to act like the world’s policeman. That isn’t shrinking stature.

Lets see: high taxes compared with foreign countries, lack of lawsuit protection, silly regulations. Repeal those and see great economic growth.

I’ll like to see US Energy Independence. How about we open ANWAR and the ocean’s to drilling. In the Gulf of Mexico Cuba, Mexico, China, and a bunch of other countries have an easy time to drill for oil. The only country that has a problem is the United States thanks to left wing liberals like you.

You look like a perfect example of our weak school system. The best way to improve school performance is give a voucher to the parent and guardian of the child and let them pick the school that the child goes to.

So Scooter care to join me on this agenda to improve the United States. Oh one more item to help Minnesota have fair election is Mark Ritchie should resign.

  18. RITCHIE GIVES INTERVIEW TO MTV, CONTINUES DUCKING QUESTIONS FROM LOCAL MEDIA. | Minnesota Democrats Exposed Says:
    December 11th, 2007 at 9:57 AM

[...] What a joke!  While reporters in Minnesota can't get an interview with Secretary of State Ritchie or even find him, Ritchie's willing to do interviews with MTV. [...]
