I did not say I was supporting Sen. Bonoff. I made the comment that her press release had been corrected to reflect the true nature of the event. Period. I will not comment on her position on the Iraq war because I do not agree with it.

I would also take issue with your last comment….”presumptive democrat nominee”….I’d say….let’s wait and see.

Ok West Metro Dem. Let’s take your word for it – this is a totally mainstream group that represents the view of nearly every American.

Why would Bonoff have to lie about that in a press release saying her Iraq plan is “get out of Iraq”? Why misrepresent the group using Clinton-esque semantics only the back off that language when she’s caught? Why not just call the group by their name?

Oh, because they *are* a far-left group that doesn’t represent mainstream America. That’s why.

You don’t win elections in a suburban Minnesota congressional district by hanging out with Code Pink et al. I know that may come as a shock to those who spend your days in the echo chamber of democratunderground and daily kos, but it is true.

You want to talk issues – let’s talk about issues.

Issue Number 1 – Integrity.

With a single press release – Bonoff has proven, in my opinion, that she has none.

Anyone else have thoughts on the CD3 presumptive democrat nominee lying to the public?

I thought the members of Iraqi Veterans Against the War WERE in fact VETERANS. That would be pretty red-white-and blue in my book. The the room was filled to overflowing, and republicans candidates were invited and did not attend. Since over 70% of the American People are opposed to the war, there were probably republicans in attendance who are tired of the same tired old rhetoric and looking for real solutions. Paulsen is not the answer either.

Eric Black is reporting rumors that Ramstad might still change his mind. If these discussions are taking place, it doesn’t say much about the party leadership’s confidence in Representative Paulsen.

Sen. Bonoff’s press release has been corrected to appropriately define the nature of the forum where she gave her remarks. Let’s not play gotcha but actually discuss issues. With over 70% against the war in Iraq, how can a forum on the war in Iraq be called “far left”? If that’s the case, then 70% of the US is “fat left.”

As a veteran that despises the GreedOverPrinciples party for the old fashioned reason – they’ve earned it – Paulsen’s record provides what can generously be called “a target-rich environment.”

Let’s all hope Bonoff gets the dfl nomination. She’ll be easy pickings for Paulsen. Have you guys heard about her “plan for Iraq”? It essentially says “We should get out of Iraq”.

The best part – her speech wasn’t “In front of several hundred veterans and military families” as her press release claims. That’s a ridiculous overstatement! She was actually speaking to the far-left Peace Forum. Hardly red-white-and-blue CD3 residents.

As far as I can tell – she’s avoided actual veterans groups.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. I suppose they have a history together, so he might. Paulsen sure hasn’t represented himself as the moderate, common sense republican that Ramstad has. I think the extreme right wing of your party will be far more comfortable with Paulsen then they were with Ramstad, but I guess time will tell. Maybe he’ll send out his endorsement letter soon.

Clearly Paulsen is trying to distance himself from Ramstad by adopting the exact same “Ramstad Orange” campaign design. How devious.

I would have figured the first letter like this might come from the current occupant of the seat. I’ll be waiting to see if Ramstad endorses him. Paulsen probably doesn’t want that one until after the endorsement since that might not help him with the party faithful.
