ULTRA HOLLYWOOD LIBERAL LARRY DAVID SAYS COLEMAN HAS “NO BALLS†WHILE SPEAKING AT AL FRANKEN FUNDRAISER; FRANKEN LAUGHS AT JOKE
By Michael B. Brodkorb | December 19, 2007
This is a video clip of Hollywood liberal Larry David speaking at a fundraiser for Al Franken at the ritzy home of liberal millionaires Sam and Sylvia Kaplan. David is seen on film saying that U.S. Senator Norm Coleman has “no balls”.
As you can see and hear in the video, Al Franken is laughing at David’s comments about Coleman. This video was removed from YouTube after I put up my first post about the video.
UPDATE: According to a dedicated reader of Minnesota Democrats Exposed, this event occurred last evening.
UPDATE #2: After speaking with a dedicated reader of Minnesota Democrats Exposed, I can confirm that the people sitting on the steps behind David, but in front of Franken, are Sam and Sylvia Kaplan. Sam can be seen clapping after David says Coleman has “no balls.”

This post also appears on Blogs for Norm!, an online community and blog covering the 2008 U.S. Senate campaign in Minnesota. The primary goal of Blogs for Norm! is to organize bloggers who support U.S. Senator Norm Coleman.

I’d make a Seinfeld joke, but I can’t think of one.

Is anyone here a marine biologist?
December 19th, 2007 at 4:12 PM
Franken is over your heads. Go back to Mississippi.
December 19th, 2007 at 4:30 PM
Neocons: Did you see the fire near Cheney’s office. I think Satan stopped by to check on his kid and an ember fell off of him.
December 19th, 2007 at 4:59 PM
How awesome is the GOP information network when it can infiltrate a DFL fundraiser and film it?
Totally sweet!

True class from the Franken campaign.
They are really moving the ball forward on cleansing our political discourse.
December 19th, 2007 at 5:32 PM
I love these clowns using the made-up term “neocons”, like anyone but liberubes care about the word. The only people who care about this made-up dis are nutjob, tin-hatted lefties.
As to Angry Al, why would we be surprised. He’s just like the rest of these people – potty mouths, potty minds, no morals, no conscience.
December 19th, 2007 at 5:37 PM
Ha…”the ritzy home of liberal millionaires Sam & Sylvia Kaplan.” You mean like the ritzy home of Republican millionaire James Jundt who hosts fundraisers for the likes of Michelle Bachmann? Pot calling kettle….
December 19th, 2007 at 5:47 PM
Al Franken is your nest senator.
December 19th, 2007 at 5:57 PM
Chet: You would have nothing if the Liberals didn’t pave the road for you. Wake up man,the NEOCONS don’t care one bit about you. You are a pawn in their game. One more peon that they can con into voting for them. Come to the light.
December 19th, 2007 at 6:10 PM
Hey, “The Truth”:
Neocons doesn’t make any sense… Most of us have been conservatives for years, so the word neo is a pretty stupid one for you to use.
Still waiting to meet a smart liberal…
December 19th, 2007 at 6:22 PM
You have to be smart to recognnize smart.
December 19th, 2007 at 6:26 PM
Redneck Girl: Do you even know the difference between a NEOCON and a conservative?
December 19th, 2007 at 7:22 PM
And partisans slamming the other side at a fundraiser is newsworthy how? The more crap you put up about Franken, the more satisfying it will be when he beats BushBoy.
December 19th, 2007 at 7:28 PM
This is silly. People say someone has “no balls” meaning someone has “no spine.” Actually neither “no balls” or “no spine” literally mean they lack body parts.
There’s legitimate stupid stuff that Franken has said, but having a cow over this sort of stuff makes the party – and Norm Coleman’s campaign – look totally pathetic.
December 19th, 2007 at 7:51 PM
Eva,
I guess you are only offended by conservative Christians. Why else do you follow Michele Bachmann so hatefully? Then you come here and defend a truly repulsive comment.
If you work, go to the nearest person and tell them they don’t have “balls” and how fast HR shoves you out of the door.
God bless you MDE.

[...] Saying that U.S. Senator Norm Coleman has "no balls" isn't the only shocking thing Hollywood liberal Larry David said at a fundraiser for Al Franken at the ritzy home of liberal millionaires Sam and Sylvia Kaplan. The GLBT community might not be too happy with some of the comments made at the event. [...]
December 19th, 2007 at 9:50 PM
Heh…Eva speaking of “stupid stuff” is like Rosie O’Donnell lecturing about lasagna.
Actually now that I think about it Eva speaking of “stupid stuff” is like Eva lecturing about lasagna.
December 19th, 2007 at 9:57 PM
What strikes me most about this video is that a room full of weak, bald little pukes are so incredably isolated from reality that they have the “balls” to denigrate ANYONES masculinity.
I wouldn’t be suprpised in the least if this evening of moonbat jockularity ended with much appreciated Viagra party favors.
December 19th, 2007 at 9:59 PM
So that’s what a fundraiser looks like…
December 20th, 2007 at 12:54 AM
Who’s running for Senate again? I thought it was Franken…
December 20th, 2007 at 4:15 AM
“You have to be smart to recognnize smart.”
ROFLMAO! Well I recognize smart, and Truth, you aren’t smart. Here’s a helpful hint for you Truth, before implying that others are stupid, you better clean up the spelling in your posts. RECOGNNIZE, LOL!
December 20th, 2007 at 8:04 AM
Too bad you don’t have the entire clip. You know, the whole set up to the no balls comment?
I love how you guys take things out of context and then really upset at your own strawmen.
December 20th, 2007 at 8:54 AM
Both of my grandfathers were veterans; my father-in-law served on a sub during WWII. My brother was a veteran. I’m a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars because I served in a war zone; I’m a member of the Disabled American Veterans because I have a service-connected disability.
And from a veteran’s perspective, not only does Norm “Smokescreen” Coleman R=Lapdog have no balls, he has no guts, and he has no honor.
NONE.
December 20th, 2007 at 9:20 AM
Tommy is a bit upset today.
Tommy for one I am in doubt you ever served by many of your comments. Two, I think you have such a clouded view of reality I beleive you probably have to take some kind of medication to deal with ADD or anxiety or some other ailment. At the very least you have “Hate Bush” syndrome.
Go lay by your damn dish and shut up.
December 20th, 2007 at 2:12 PM
Oooh….when confronted by a contrary opinion, the big guy scratches his head and strains to conjure some semblance of real thought from the shriveled, moss-covered testicle that passes for his brain. The little nugget inside his thick boney mass, huffs and puffs but alas, produces nothing other than the will to eat or defecate. Finally, a nerve impulse is mustered and sent ever so slowly to his neanderthal encased frontal lobes. He slowly obeys the message, looks down at the scribbled writing on the back of his hand and finds his response….go lay by your dish.
December 20th, 2007 at 2:50 PM
Why buck you were able to look up all those big words for yourself.
Good for you my little liberal friend.
Oooh… when reading a contrary opinion buck has little to offer but some fairly lame elementry school type name calling.
Yep, you sure showed me.
Now go lay by your dish as you obviously a liberal lap dog.
Then again you may be more sheeple than liberal lap dog.

Franken-haters will unashamedly depict Al as mean-spirited. The fact is that is galactically far from the TRUTH. Obviously Al has a robust sense of humor (and that’s a refreshingly good thing). He also viscerally cares about veterans, (I am one)the uninsured, and about getting us out of the fiasco in Iraq. Norm Coleman indeed never had the testicular fortitude to stand up to Bush or Cheney or Rove in going to a war based on lies, the execution of that war, nor in the fact that it’s apparently okay now for the U.S. to perform torture. Oh and by the way, screw the veterans (Norm repeatedly votes anti-veteran).
Larry David’s allusion to Norm’s anatomy was a JOKE. That’s it…pure and simple…it was a JOKE. Anyone with a miniscule sense of humor, or an ounce or two of brains should be able to sense that fact.
It was a joke! It was funny. What’s not funny is what Norm Coleman and president George W. Bush have done to our country.

little cajone, er, ‘scuse me, “kahuna”, I’d invite you to the post I belong to to have a beer, but:
1 – you have to be 21 to have a beer, and
2- your mommy won’t let you out after dark anyway.
Let me know if you actually are of legal age, and you do have the cajones to put up or shut up.
I’m guessin’ you’re one of those republiCon ChickenHawks that specialises in Armchair Typewriting Warfare.
December 20th, 2007 at 3:40 PM
Dave:
The fact that you think Franken has a sense of humor for laughing at something that isn’t funny shows:
1. Franken doesn’t have a robust sense of humor.
and 2. You don’t have a sense of humor.
The it’s just a joke isn’t a defense. Ask Trent Lott who was trying to praise a man who served the United States of America for 100 years. Or I bet you found that offensive.
get Real Dave and get a sense of humor!

Ahh, kahuna, you’re way too easy. You prove my point with every ignorant post. I see that you once again, fell back on the old reliable dish comment. You’re the equivelant of Pee Wee Herman without the charm.
Actually, I don’t have to look up anything to take on someone as intellectually unarmed as yourself. Please continue to take refuge in the Rush talking point safe harbor that guides your muse and engage in your bigoted circle jerk with the rest of the misanthropes.
You’re just another assclown whose bravery comes from anonymity. I think you know what you can do with your dish you little chimp.

Lefty humor abounds and Buck takes the cake – You a funny guy – you make me laugh – HA HA.
Now Franken – he not so funny.
December 20th, 2007 at 8:30 PM
Sorry I’m spoiling the surprise but Larry David is a comedian. He tells jokes. That’s what a comedian does. I’m really sorry to have spoiled your day with this shocking news.
December 21st, 2007 at 12:39 AM
Wow Two:
You have brilliantly demonstrated that you have no sense of humor. There wasn’t a single joke in your piece to laugh about. Forgive me, but writing or saying f…. isn’t a joke.
Now if you want an honest opinion here it is.
You were making a comparison between John Kerry using a naughty and President Bush using a naughty word. What you overlooked is:
John Kerry was criticizing a policy using language which wasn’t deserved. President Bush used the same word before he was elected President, but not once did you cite where Mr. Bush was criticizing Mr. Clinton or one of his policies. Mr. Kerry on the other hand was running for President and was a rightful target.
Mr. Kerry has continusouly since then used expressions without that swear word that bad mouths troops. Mr. Kerry just like the troops who served in Vietnam who he called war criminals he’s calling the troops who serve in Iraq war criminals. In 2006 he called the troops serving in Iraq dumb since if they were smart they wouldn’t be in Iraq. Ignoring they are patriots. Ignoring they know they are succeeding in their mission. the fact that Mr. Kerry has never learned his lesson shows he doesn’t care.
* You’re forgetting that this piece started with an attack on a person. Just where in your piece was Mr. Bush attacking a person in 1999? At least you cited an incident where Mr. Cheney was attacking a person, but in a method of argument I won’t approve of used the person who attacked them with their own language. It isn’t funny to attack a person with swear words or trashy humor. You seem to think it’s okay.
* And finally if you’re implying that Mr. Bush didn’t deserve to be President because he used the F word in 1999 you’re confirming that because Al Franken laughed at these jokes and used other jokes like this in the past that he isn’t deserving of anybody’s vote in 2008 including Twoputttommy (who probably at a minimum four putts his green) who has no sense of humor.

“Let me know if you actually are of legal age, and you do have the cajones to put up or shut up.”
This sounds like a threat!
“I’m guessin’ you’re one of those republiCon ChickenHawks that specialises in Armchair Typewriting Warfare.”
What the heck is SPECIALISES? Yet another Democrat who can’t spell a simple word? LOL, I guess that means democrats aren’t even up to being ‘typewriting’ warriors.

Anything that Larry David says is pretty much gold. Not room for argument either. Anyone who disagrees clearly is jealous of his wonderful sense of humor, intellect, *success,* charisma and charm. Few people have accomplished what he has. Love you Larry!

Al Franken is wonderfully hilarious & also a great mind. It’s as simple as that. Nuff said.

LD “wonderfully hilarious $ a great mind” aren’t words that should be used to describe Al since none of them apply to Al.
