MDE INTERVIEW WITH MN GOP COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR MARK DRAKE – PART ONE
By Michael B. Brodkorb | December 23, 2007
This is part one of my interview with Mark Drake, communications director for the Republican Party of Minnesota about the 2008 U.S. Senate race. Drake talks about the status of the 2008 U.S. Senate race, provides his thoughts about Al Franken's work as a comedian, and discusses the YouTube video released this week of Hollywood liberal Larry David speaking at a fundraiser for Al Franken at the ritzy home of liberal millionaires Sam and Sylvia Kaplan.
Please check back to Minnesota Democrats Exposed tomorrow for part two of my interview with Drake where he talks more about Al Franken. Drake also gives his opinion on the campaigns of Mike Ciresi and Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer.

This post also appears on Blogs for Norm!, an online community and blog covering the 2008 U.S. Senate campaign in Minnesota. The primary goal of Blogs for Norm! is to organize bloggers who support U.S. Senator Norm Coleman.

Good interview, MDE.
Really enjoy all the video content that you’ve added to the blog.
Merry Christmas.

I believe it was Chevy Chase who got the Weekend Update slot over Franken. Norm McDonald was in a later “class” of SNL. Is anyone over 35 in charge anywhere anymore?

Allen — read “Live from New York,” the definitive history of Saturday Night Live. I believe it was in 1994 or 1995 that Franken left the show — b/c he got skipped over for Weekend Update. (this was his second tour on SNL).

Wow! Two paid Republican operatives collaborate on writing questions and answers for each other and then publish it as an “interview.” That’s the kind of in-depth reporting we’ve come to expect from the GOP’s house organ.

I concur with Minny Moderate…Franken wanted to be the host of Weekend Update. He did two tours with SNL.

Good call, Wild Man.

On The Campaign Trail With The Party Of Civility:
“Senator McCain, how are you going to beat that bitch?”
Senator McCain: “I’ll answer, when I’m done ROFLMAO!!!”
Reaction From THe Bootlickers: Zip. Nada. Crickets.
Michael, thank you for proving, once again, why GOP now stands for GreedOverPrinciples.

I stand corrected. I always thought his Stuart Smalley stuff was hilarious. I could tell it came frome real-life dysfunction and “recovery”. Part of my recovery was shedding the victim mentality. Someone should do a study of how many prominant lefties are projecting their abusive families onto Republicans. How many “Adult Children of Alcoholics” U. S. Senators do we really need, anyway?
