MDE INTERVIEW WITH MN GOP COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR MARK DRAKE – PART TWO

By Michael B. Brodkorb | December 26, 2007

This is part two of my interview with Mark Drake, communications director for the Republican Party of Minnesota about the 2008 U.S. Senate race. Part one of my interview with Drake can been seen here.

In this portion of the interview, Drake talks more about Al Franken and gives his opinion on the campaigns of Mike Ciresi and Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer. Drake calls Ciresi’s campaign “lackluster” and says Ciresi may run in the primary if he doesn’t receive the DFL endorsement. Drake also labels Nelson-Pallmeyer a “fringe” candidate.

Please watch the interview and post your thoughts in the comments.

This post also appears on Blogs for Norm!, an online community and blog covering the 2008 U.S. Senate campaign in Minnesota. The primary goal of Blogs for Norm! is to organize bloggers who support U.S. Senator Norm Coleman.

Great interview MDE! Keep up the great work, nice added feature as well!!

Nice interview. But only one thing: Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer is no far-lefty. He’s mainstream: He’s for single payer health care, withdrawal from Iraq because it’s not our country nor our oil, very serious action to save the planet from global climate catasrophe, and more. His issues are the mainstream. You call far-right issues, such as pro-torture, global domination, tax cuts for the rich, corporate gimmees “mainstream”. The people are catching on….Watch out for Jack. He’s nicer, more sincere, intellectually honest, more decent, more Minnesotan than Norm and the other Dems.

Single payer health care isn’t mainstream, that’s far left. So is the ‘global climate catasrtophe’. LOL

Ya know, Michael, you guys are shameless.

Rippin’ Al for a ballsy joke, held in a private event, when T-Paw told a ballsy joke, in public, on the taxpayer’s dime.

I wrote this, as a response to to the consistent inconsistency of republiCon bootlickers:

Franken, Ceresis and Nelson-Pallmeyer are all clearly on the left side of the line. There is nothing moderate about them. Norm is more credible as a moderate than any of the DFL candidates.

Single payer is by no means mainstream no matter how much the doctors associations got paid to endorse the socialist agenda.

If you put Norm in front of an audience on a panel with Franken, Ceresi and Nelson-Palmeyer, at the end of the day I bet the majority of folks would vote for Norm (including Ceresi and Nelson-Pallmeyer).

And Roz, this intellectually dishonest spew “You call far-right issues, such as pro-torture, global domination, tax cuts for the rich, corporate gimmees “mainstream”.” ……is pure caca. It voided any credibility you were clinging to from the outset of your post.

Put down the talking points and show us why your leftist ideas are better than conservative ideas. Show us how your solutions work. You will be surprised at how receptive we are to constructive and sound ideas.

Hey Two putt Tommy, do you come here to post because otherwise no one would see your blog? ;)

I notice you drone on and on in your blog yet have few if any responses. ;) My guess, you are just not capable of hold any kind of audience with your drivel. Must be frustraiting to know you have to come to pro-Republican blogs to get any attention. :)

Hey, little stones, you man enough to belly up to the bar at the VFW?

And I’ve yet begun to blog!!! I only got three of ‘em, so far, and I’ve managed to point out hypoocrisy in republiCons in each and every one of ‘em!

Tell me, little stones, do you think it was “right” for T-Paw to tell that ballsy joke, in public, and on the public dole?

If yes, you can no longer rip Al for the joke at his event.

Unless you plan on bein’ a good republiCon by bein’ consistently inconsistent….

Big Kahuna’s comments raises a new version of a time-honored question: If TwoPuttTommy has a blog and no one sees it, does it really exist?

  9. Jacob Reitz Says:
    December 27th, 2007 at 1:35 PM

Drew, what’s not true about “pro-torture, global domination, tax cuts for the rich, corporate gimmees”?

Seems to sum it up pretty well to me :)

I stopped by toopud’s blog, and I noticed that he shares top billing with Charley Undapants and Grease Kegger, two of the goofiest moonbat’s I’ve ever run across anywhere.

Undapants’ anti-American spew has even repulsed a few Democrat activists enough to take umbrage at my lumping them in with him, and Kegger regularly makes a gut piercing laugh riot of herself in the lefty echo chamber known as SPIF (saint paul issues forum).

Pfft..nice set of colleagues ya got there toopud, I can’t imagine how you tear yourself away from their company long enough to do your cute little asshat dance for us over here!

  11. Swiftee Says:
    December 27th, 2007 at 1:50 PM

“Drew, what’s not true about “pro-torture, global domination, tax cuts for the rich, corporate gimmees”?”

Is this supposed to be English? I forgot my moonbat translator so I can’t be sure.

  12. TwoPuttTommy Says:
    December 27th, 2007 at 3:02 PM

    Say, NotSoSwiftly?

Charlie is an honorably discharged veteran, who served his country by getting his ass shot at in rice paddies so ChickenHawk pukes like you can spew your hatred, and even march in Skokie.

And I’ll be the first to acknowledge Charlie and I don’t see eye-to-eye on a few issues, but what I like about the democrats is disagreement and dissent is not only allowed, it’s encouraged.

I don’t always agree with Charlie, but I appreciate his opinions and I deeply respect his service to our country.

  13. Swiftee Says:
    December 27th, 2007 at 4:15 PM

Pfft…I’m a Navy vet toopud. I volunteered during the Vietnam war, but didn’t have to go.

Charlie didn’t do anything that I wasn’t ready, willing and able to do, nor anything that I wouldn’t expect of any American in time of war.

The best you’re gonna get from me is the he earned his right to sit in his little pool of anti-American diarrhea and you’re welcome to encourage him, or to join him in making his little shit balls for all I care.

  14. Big Kahuna Says:
    December 27th, 2007 at 4:21 PM

I find it sooooo funny when liberals trot out a vet on their side like all the sudden the vets actually mean something to them.

Even more funny is how quick they discredit that service when the vet stands for conservative principles which is much more often the case.

So, Two putt turd, I take it then you are very concerned with all the current people in the service who feel what the democRats do in their “dissent” bashing our military is disgusting? After all they are service people doing their honerable service I would guess then you agree with 80% of the current military who believes a democRat should NEVER run the country. ;)

  15. TwoPuttTommy Says:
    December 27th, 2007 at 9:55 PM

    Say, little stones?

The veterans never had a better friend, than Paul Wellstone.

And I have yet to see any democrats “bashing” our military – yet bootlickers like you trot that tired line out all the time.

You’re one of the guys George aWol Bush was talking about, when he said:

“You can fool some of the people all the time, and those are the ones you want to concentrate on.”

Let me know when you’re man enough to belly up to the bar at the VFW, boy.

  16. TwoPuttTommy Says:
    December 27th, 2007 at 9:56 PM

    Say, NotSoSwiftly?

Thank you for your service to our country.

  17. Swiftee Says:
    December 28th, 2007 at 10:49 AM

“And I have yet to see any democrats “bashing” our military”

Well toopud, you’re either illiterate, or a liar.

You co-write a blog and socialize with a guy who specializes in dragging our armed forces, our country, it’s people and everything we stand for through the mud.

“The death of a million Iraqis in a war based on lies would certainly qualify as “wanton murder.”
    - Charley Underwood on our stormtroopers in Iraq.

“Every accusation you make of Iraqis could be turned around to condemn our own warring actions. But let me ask you if you make a moral distinction between flying an airplane into an office building and bombing and leveling a city the size of St Paul, as the American forces did in Fallujah?”
    - Charley Underwood on the morality of our troops

“Even the poison gas incidents were usually carried out with both the covert blessing and the raw materials of Western powers, including the United States. As some wag pointed out, we knew Saddam HAD weapons of mass destruction at some point because we had the receipts!”
-Charley Underwood on arming Iraq with chemical weapons of mass destruction

“At this point, of course, the United States has the blood of about 1.2 million Iraqi citizens on its hands. While denying the Holocaust is certainly reprehensible, it probably isn’t as bad as carrying one out.”
-Charlie Underwood defending Iran’s President Iminadinnerjacket (notice that the death toll had gone up by 200,000…guess our storm troopers are really good)

You want someone to drink with, bigmouth? I’m your Huckleberry.

I’ll bring along some reading material that I’m sure the boys at the VFW will really enjoy.

  18. Wild Man Fisher Says:
    December 28th, 2007 at 5:56 PM

Little Stones says “I find it sooooo funny when liberals trot out a vet on their side like all the sudden the vets actually mean something to them.”

How about a roll call of your little gang of chickenhawks that frequents this place? Besides your token vet NotSoSwiftly, how many of YOU have served? Start with you, Little Stones? Patriot or Chickenhawk? Next up–Honeydog. Patriot or chickenhawk? C’mon, bigmouths. Show us your DD214.

  19. TwoPuttTommy Says:
    December 28th, 2007 at 9:27 PM

    Say, NotSoSwiftly?

In each and every quotation of Charley’s you provided, he’s bashing the misAdministration of Bush The Lesser, NOT THE TROOPS.

And, yes, I’d enjoy sharing a cold beverage with you at the Hopkins VFW. Bring all the reading material you desire.

Michael has both of our e-mail addresses; I hereby authorize Michael to share mine with you, AND YOU ALONE.

I trust that you, as a veteran, will be a man of your word, and not share my e-mail with anyone else.

I look forward to tipping one with you; my favorite spot by the bar is close to the POW/MIA table.

  20. Swiftee Says:
    December 28th, 2007 at 10:27 PM

    Send it Mike.

  21. Swiftee Says:
    December 28th, 2007 at 10:36 PM

Oh, and just for a conversation starter, in response to: “In each and every quotation of Charley’s you provided, he’s bashing the misAdministration of Bush The Lesser, NOT THE TROOPS.”

You might want to read this again:

“Every accusation you make of Iraqis could be turned around to condemn our own warring actions. But let me ask you if you make a moral distinction between flying an airplane into an office building and bombing and leveling a city the size of St Paul, as the American forces did in Fallujah?”

What forces do you think he was talking about?

I understand Undapants perfectly…he makes no equivocation about what he’s saying.

Oh, and don’t worry sport. When I make a date with a leftist, I always keep the appointment and I don’t advertise.

  22. Swiftee Says:
    December 28th, 2007 at 10:49 PM

One last thing for you to chew on Toopud.

I advertised my opposition against the Iraq war from the first day we started it, and I have been pretty consistent in my opinion that the President F’d it up big time ever since.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0-TAlOsDrI

But NEVER, EVER would I accuse my country, it’s military or it’s leaders of genocide. We don’t roll like that…you should tell your friends.
