Say, Tim?

If you don't like it here, why don't you just move now, rather than wait until your third-grade kid has been exposed to MORE SOCIALISM?

Here's a website to help you start looking...

When are the Minnesota Republicans start running conservatives for office and quit offer us Rhinos?

Anyone who would appoint someone like Mary Yunker (a former employee of Kathleen Morris) and Sean Gibbs (the son of longtime Anoka County DFL activist judge James Gibbs) to the bench like Plawenty has, IS NOT CONSERVATIVE.

We need to also get rid of our trash, like Carol Molnau.

This state is going to now get hit hard with tax increases. The Education Lobby and the Indian Casino interests will run this state. Get ready for reparations, more choo-choo trains along with free health care for those who do not pay income & property tax.

Say hello to more section 8 housing, more control by the unelected Metropolitan Council and say goodbye to Canterbury Park and the Minnesota Vikings.

Let's try to be conservative and run away from people like Plawenty and Bush.

Weak, MDE. Dahle carried Le Sueur County, and you can't blame college students for that.

The two were dead even in conservative New Prague, Cox won by only a few in Belle Plaine, and Dahle won by a few in Le Sueur City. Throw in Northfield, with the college students that the Republicans seem to love to hate all the sudden, and it was without a doubt a landslide. Hell, even without the college students it was a damn good win.

So, to condradict you, it's clear from the results that Dahle won because college students PLUS everyone else turned out for Dahle.

(Side note - kinda funny to hear you say anything at all about negative campaigning. Do you think of this site as a positive, constructive one?)

Michael wrote: "It’s clear from the results that the college students turned out for Dahle." Although that did happen, it doesn't explain why every other Northfield precinct went heavily to Dahle. I congratulate Ray Cox on a great campaign, and I'm excited to see my old friend Kevin Dahle do so well.

I sent a very detailed questionnaire to both candidates with very complicated questions and proposals for solutions for the major issues.

Ray Cox took the time to answer all of them and sent further emails explaining his positions. Although I would have preferred the more conservative Rod Tietz, Mr. Cox did make an very favorable impression.

Mr. Dahle did not even bother to reply nor did his campaign manager.

I fear that Mr. Dahle will be nothing more than a stooge for Larry Pogemiller.

As a middle class working guy, I will writing bigger checks to the State of Minnesota for the next few years.

When my 3rd grade son graduates from high school--I am out of here--this time for good!

The Dude: It's clear from the results that the college students turned out for Dahle. It's also clear that negative politics works as the DFL ran numerous radio ads against Cox.

Gosh, your posts must have been . . . wrong or something. Turns out that, not only did the DFl not "give up" on Dahle, but they made sure he won by 1500 votes. Huh. And since, according to you, the DFL didn't spend any money on the election, it must have just been the voters deciding that they had enough of the Republicans.

Cox even lost Le Sueur county. That has got to sting. How does a Republican even lose Le Sueur Co, anyway?

But on the bright side, Cox won Wheatland Township pretty convincingly. That'll be a great jumping off point for his next campaign.

Dang, I can't post here anymore. :-) Wonder why that is. Maybe it's a Wordpress glitch.

If I'm the Holly you are talking to, I am not on Dahle's campaign and technically I didn't do his website. But I've heard his campaign was doing well-- many many volunteers.

There's no negative and misleading ads on my website.

The DFL usually plays it pretty safe-- some say too safe. It's all about being nice, which is good, unless another polical party is being fueled by fire from malicious bloggers and in general doesn't play nice at all.

And, why don't you be specific about the damaging remarks? What were they?

I love how this website runs on "ifs" and "rumors".

What a waste of time, and damaging, to boot.

Let's speculate on this if: I heard Michael Brodkorb is a Democrat.

and the if:

If Michael Brodkorb is a Democrat, he's doing a good job pushing things so far to the weird that more and more people are voting for the Democratic candidate. Here here! Go Brodkorb. Tell everyone you know.

If Dahle did send the account from his official account, maybe he should be running for secretary of state instead of the senate.
If Dahle sent it out that way, wouldn't he be eligible for running for AG, too? After all, what's the difference whether you're using a government email account or using OAG stationary?
