COLEMAN FOR U.S. SENATE PRESS RELEASE: “COLEMAN RAISES $1.7 MILLION, POSTS 4TH QUARTER IN ROW OF OVER $1.5 MILLION RAISED

By Michael B. Brodkorb | January 7, 2008

Saint Paul – The Coleman campaign today announced it had raised $1.7 million in the 4th quarter.  This marks the 4th quarter in a row that Coleman has raised over $1.5 million.  With over 3,900 new Minnesotans having joined Team Coleman this cycle, the Coleman Campaign continues to exceed its fundraising goal by adding over 5,000 additional individual contributors.

"Minnesotans and Americans are looking for strong, independent leadership that will bring people together to get things done," said Cullen Sheehan, Coleman Campaign Manager. "Regardless of our opponent, we intend to stay focused on Norm’s positive message and vision for America.  We believe our fundraising is a reflection of Minnesotans and others wanting to invest in a positive message about how to get things done at a time when Washington has become more partisan and more polarized."

With this report, Coleman has over, 18,500 individual Minnesotans contributing to his campaign for re-election, and a nearly two-to-one cash advantage over his nearest DFL opponent.
