MN PUBLIUS BLOGGER OFF BY 14 POINTS ON ELECTION DAY PREDICTION FOR BARACK OBAMA IN NEW HAMPSHIRE

By Michael B. Brodkorb | January 8, 2008

This post practically wrote itself. My prediction?  The other bloggers at MN Publius won't be allowing Sean Broom to make anymore outlandish predictions.

UPDATE: I just spoke with a dedicated reader of Minnesota Democrats Exposed who attended Obama's "partaaaaaaaaay" at O'Gara's this evening.  According to my source, the event had the feel of a funeral.

The girls at MinnPooblius really screwed this one up!

    Nice work.

Holy shit! Are you kidding me? Paaaaaarty!!!???

Wtf? How much kool-aid did that guy drink over the weekend from the liberal media? I think he might still be drunk!! The party over at O’Gara’s must have been one huuuuuuuge paaaaaaarty with that soaring speech Obaaaaaaaama gave!

  3. Mark Peterson Says:
    January 8th, 2008 at 10:27 PM

Yeah, his prediction was so off the wall, no one else would have predicted that, what a moron. At least all your predictions on the demise of Ritchie came true.

  4. David Axelrod Says:
    January 8th, 2008 at 10:28 PM

    Sean, your credibility is shot!

  5. Michael B. Brodkorb Says:
    January 8th, 2008 at 10:29 PM

I think he said partaaaaaaaaay! Not paaaaaarty.

  6. dumbster Says:

I dare you to put up a poll on who is a bigger no talent ass clown – the blogger that wrote the prediction or Ron Carey.

    My vote goes to Carey.

So, given the discrepancy between pre-election polls and post-election results, when are we going to hear about “voter intimidation” and other cockamamie liberal conspiracy theories to explain Obama’s loss? Or does that rule only apply to general elections when Dems lose to Republicans?

  8. Eva Young Says:
    January 9th, 2008 at 12:03 AM

Noone got this one right. The internal numbers for the Clinton campaign were Obama wins by 11, Obama’s internal numbers were Obama wins by 14. The press was all astounded.

  9. Digby Says:
    January 9th, 2008 at 1:08 AM

It isn’t easy taking down the Clinton machine… but it can be done. If anybody looked desperate before tonight it was the Clintons. They can ride high if they win in SC, but Obama will be back… hell he only lost by 7,000 votes.

  10. Demrock6 Says:
    January 9th, 2008 at 7:11 AM

I think it is because the independents’ went strongly for John McCain. Most folks are ok with the dem field, but are not fans of the gop side. McCain is the most acceptable of the bunch and that is why he crushed the others with indy support.

How about Ron Paul stomping Fred Thompson?

  11. doctor dre Says:
    January 9th, 2008 at 8:27 AM

Fred Thompson has run perhaps the most inept campaign for president, ever.

He looks like the kid who’s on his way to a root canal. Fred, if you didn’t want the gig, why run?

  12. Reality Check Says:
    January 9th, 2008 at 8:54 AM

Fred’s wife wants him to run — she’d love to be first lady. Though, it’s never going to happen for her.

How long will triple asshat stand by his man, Fred Thompson?

  13. Big Kahuna Says:
    January 9th, 2008 at 9:21 AM

I had this right! :) I have been bugging Sean all week that Iowa was just a ploy to get the heat of Hillary for a while. I had no doubt Hillary would win and I have no doubt she will be their candidate. :)

  14. Scott Duncan Says:
    January 9th, 2008 at 10:19 AM

I love it when the Demorcatic establishment tells young people and minorities to sit down a shut up. The Democratic Party is run by rich white people just like the GOP. We are just honest about it.

  15. Sean Says:
    January 9th, 2008 at 10:54 AM

    Mike–

This may be the stupidest thing you’ve put up on your website… ever.

Care to go over some of your predictions?

    http://www.minnesotademocratsexposed.com/2007/07/16/dfl-primary-july-24-for-special-election-in-hd-28b/

“I’ve spoken with a few Democrats down in HD 28B and this primary could be close.”

    You’re a moron.

    Sean

PS. Great post on Carey’s unprecedented endorsement of a Presidential candidate!

  16. Michael B. Brodkorb Says:
    January 9th, 2008 at 11:25 AM

Sean “My prediction? Obama by 11.” Broom is getting testy. I said the primary could be close and it wasn’t. I wasn’t dumb enough to put a number on it because I only wrote that it “could be close.”

But you take the cake. You had the smarts to put a number on your prediction and that write that it would be a “[p]artaaaaaaaaay!”

This post is a keeper. Thanks for the laugh! Trust me, I got a good laugh out of your prediction.

Sean “My prediction? Obama by 11.” Broom, thanks for the laugh.

  17. Sean Says:
    January 9th, 2008 at 11:33 AM

Michael “I Don’t Write Bad Things About People That Pay Me” Brodkorb you’ve got bigger problems than me being wrong on a prediction.

    Good luck.

    Sean

  18. Michael B. Brodkorb Says:

Sean “My prediction? Obama by 11.” Broom, thanks for the laugh.

  19. Big Kahuna Says:
    January 9th, 2008 at 12:07 PM

Sean, how about my due props? I told you it would be Hillary all along and all you have done is tell me how wrong I will be. Osama, er I mean Obama was never a threat to Clinton inc. They allowed him to have some success in Iowa to get some heat off Hillary for a bit and it worked.

How about if I am right, you never post here again, if I am proven wrong I will never post at MN Pooplius? Care to make that bet big boy? ;)

  20. Drew Emmer Says:
    January 9th, 2008 at 2:07 PM

I predict that Hillary will mount a surprising comeback and win New Hampshire. But Obama will only trail by 6-7,000 votes. McCain will win the GOP race in New Hampshire.

  21. Mr. Ed Says:
    January 9th, 2008 at 3:19 PM

Michael, does your site do this “Your comment is awaiting moderation”? or this a Lefty thing against free speech?

  22. Big Kahuna Says:
    January 9th, 2008 at 3:44 PM

Mr Ed, liberals cannot win an arguement on merits of their ideas. Thus, they have to screen what people might have to say so there can be no voices of opposition.

It has always been this way, liberalism cannot survive on it’s own which is why the left passes some of the laws they do to force us to live as they see fit.

I am honestly confused as to why any free thinking person would ever vote democRat?

  23. Mr. Ed Says:
    January 9th, 2008 at 4:33 PM

    Thanks, good point!
I think free hand outs are always a motivator to vote those into office that will pass out the treasures of the government.

  24. buck Says:
    January 9th, 2008 at 7:47 PM

Nice comeback, Michael. Mike six year old could produce a better retort.

  25. Pete Says:
    January 9th, 2008 at 9:45 PM

What is a “Mike six year old”?

  26. GOP Hyperbole Exposer Says:
    January 11th, 2008 at 1:03 PM

That’s a howler alright, Mikey, almost as good as this one:

    Michael Brodkorb, Jan. 2:

“It’s now 3:02 p.m. and an afternoon of door-knocking has produced a collection of positive remarks and enthusiastic support for the Republican-endorsed candidate Ray Cox. I expect a close election, but the positive feedback has kept me warm on a cold day.”
