INFORMATION ON PRECINCT CAUCUSES

By Michael B. Brodkorb | February 5, 2008

Click here to watch a video about precinct caucuses from Governor Tim Pawlenty and here to watch a video from Chairman Ron Carey. I must compliment the leadership of the Republican Party of Minnesota for moving precinct caucuses to February 5.  On the Republican side, the nomination will likely be decided this evening and while no delegates will be awarded this evening, Minnesota did have a role on Super Tuesday.

If you need help finding out where to caucus this evening, please click here to access a precinct finder from the Republican Party of Minnesota.

Remember, King and I will be on the radio tomorrow night on AM 1280 The Patriot discussing the results election results. Brave Democrats and proud Republicans can join the conversation at (651) 289-4488 to discuss Minnesota's precinct caucuses.

I’m neither a brave (nor otherwise) Democrat nor a proud (nor otherwise) Republican, but a stubborn, largely single-issue independent — okay if I call in?

    Michael–

This is a serious question and one that I’m asking just out of curiosity and one that I’m not going to make hay out of.

Why is the Presidential preference ballot for the MNGOP non-binding? Is this the way it’s always (or at least recently) been for Republican caucus goers in Minnesota?

    Sean

The much funnier “How to Caucus” video is here:

    Very classy and good humored!

Sean, why does it matter?? Do you really think you had a voice to get Osama, er I mean Obama elected?? ;)

The Clinton machine will not allow such a thing to happen. He may be offered the VP spot, but you are in a dream world if you think there was ever going to be anyone but Clinton getting the democRat nomination.

Hitlery bought and paid for this spot way back in 2004. You young punks and your rock star Osama, er I mean Obama can get excited as you want but the delegates needed were already paid for.

It is still fun to watch you go on and paaaaarty though. ;)

So..Kahuna…It’s only about 5 hours until caucus. When am I supposed to get the call telling me I can’t vote for anyone other than Clinton? I’ve been trying to keep the line free for that call.

Oh, how I long for the days when Kahuna told us how big he was, and how he once gave Paul Wellstone a piece of his mind, and how he wanted to beat up Al Franken.

Now the Big Guy’s only ammunition is to play insulting games with candidate names. Where’s the, uber-tough guy, Kahuna of old?

I want to hear about how you’d work over Obama, or how you’d bludgeon Clinton with her own high heel–that’s the kind of discourse we need around here.

  9. Sean Says:
    February 5th, 2008 at 2:55 PM

Okay– can someone who isn’t mentally challenged (not even MBB) tell me why?

    Just curious that’s all.

    Sean

Trompo, did you not read, they have already bought the delegates needed. You can cast your caucus vote all you want. In the end it will be Clinton.

Southern Minny, I get the feeling you are taking me off your Christmas list. ;)
Had years of fun poking at Wellstone. :) More so with his fanatic supporters who probably should have been on medication.
I would love a chance at Franken. You see I have seen when he gets angry and acts like a bully and all I am sayin is i’d like to be his huckaberry. ;) Only he seems to only do that to those he knows he can intimidate. Franken is a a hot head and I intend to spark him off every chance I get.
Minny, how “big” I am. why I do not believe I ever told you how “big” I am, but thanks for playing. :)

Sean, do you doubt that it will be Hitlery? ;)

Big Kahuna – all those clever names you come up with. Sigh :) You are just so cute I want to kiss you right where you’re the biggest (in Minnesota, of course)

“…why I do not believe I ever told you how “big” I am…”

What, you had a “cannot tell a lie” kinda moment, little stones??!?

  13. TwoPuttTommy Says:
    February 6th, 2008 at 12:28 AM

“Where’s the, uber-tough guy, Kahuna of old? “

    ROFLMAO!!!

    little stones – “uber-tough”??!?

    Yeah, ‘right’….

  14. Pete Says:

little pudd, does your mommy know you stayed up past your bedtime last night. Watch out, she might take your blanky away…

  15. TwoPuttTommy Says:
    February 6th, 2008 at 8:52 AM

That the best you can do, Punky?

  16. Pete Says:
    February 6th, 2008 at 9:14 AM

oh pudding butt, she did didn’t she, that mean old mommy! Maybe when she sees you having another one of your little tantrums she will give it back.

  17. Big Kahuna Says:
    February 6th, 2008 at 10:49 AM

twopudd, considering you feel you are a tough guy because you CLAIM you were in the service, you should hardly talk. The photo’s have already shown us you are fat, balding old man who looks back and believes he was a tough guy in his day.

  18. Pete Says:
    February 6th, 2008 at 11:18 AM

A fat balding old man and still in diapers? Sad, so sad…

  19. TwoPuttTommy Says:
    February 7th, 2008 at 7:56 AM

    Say, little stones?

That picture o’ the “fat, balding old man”?

That’s your Mammy, boy. In her trailer.

And she doesn’t miss giving you up.

  20. Big Kahuna Says:
    February 7th, 2008 at 11:20 AM

Twopudd, c’mon, you can do better than that!

You have become a bit a gag here son. You spout off about shit you really have no clue about and then try to cover it with name calling and subject changes. ;)

You are no tough guy, you never were. I am also very sure you are a liberal keyboard worrior and are probably not so quick to name call and such in person. ;) Hell, I have a daughter who I am quite sure would submit you in seconds. You got a big mouth and lots of anger and hate in you, I get a kick out of that. :)

Go lay by your damn dish before I swat your ass. :)

  21. Pete Says:
    February 7th, 2008 at 2:42 PM

Boy pudding butt, that was weak! As you would say “is that all you got”?

  22. Big Kahuna Says:
    February 7th, 2008 at 4:21 PM

I think puddles is having on off day. he is really out in left field lately. :)

Ran out of Daily Kos talking points or what?
