COMING SOON: FRANKEN CLAIMS ANYONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO GET TROOPS OUT OF IRAQ IS “LYING” TO THEMSELVES, YOU;
By Michael B. Brodkorb | February 11, 2008
Al Franken made some rather shocking statements about Iraq earlier this month during a campaign swing in greater Minnesota. If you're a candidate running for office with a plan to leave Iraq, Franken is calling you a liar.
I encourage the numerous Democrats who read Minnesota Democrats Exposed to watch the new video about Franken that I will be posting tomorrow morning.

So, was Franken lying when he said he knew how to get troops out of Iraq?
Of course, the best way out of Iraq — victory — is the path Democrats are unwilling to consider. It’s more fun to play political games with soldiers — who Democrats hate — than it is to support their success.

Chesnut, stop being a tool. Both parties respect the hell out of the troops. You know that.
Anyway, don’t worry, Franken is a bigger tool than you are. I don’t need to see any video to prove it. It should be evident to everyone that the guy is a moron. Even if he were to beat Coleman, which he can’t, he would still be a terrible senator. Why the can’t Democrats realize this?

Yeah, the Democrats love the military so much they work to ban them from their cities, spit on them, burn them in effigy and play political games with the money and resources they need to do their work… they do all that while their not telling telling our soldiers that their losing, that our enemies are winning, that the troops are murderers and that their fighting and dying for nothing.
Yes, those Democrats respect the hell out of the troops.

Republicans actually respect and like the military. Many Democrats give it lip service for purely political purposes.

This democrat despises republicans that make hollow claims about “victory!”.
Most of those republicans are ChickenHawks – sidlenine cheerleaders that never served – that cannot define “victory”.
In my studies, I have concluded the Iraq conflict now is like Northern Ireland was, only worse. How long did it take to get the Catholics and the Protestants to cooperate? How does an occupying force stop terroristic bombings?
What makes a republican think (well, actually, “nothing”, but that’s a tangetnt) that the Shia, Sunni, and Kurds are going to cooperate any quicker?
Under the misAdministration of Bush, it took 2 years to recognize this was unconventional warfare, even though the first engagement with the enemy was an unconventional battle.
TWO YEARS.
Where were the republcans then? Why weren’t they demanding “accountability” from the administration then?
Oh, wait – they weren’t demanding “accuntability”, because republicans don’t demand “accountability” from fellow republicans.
This, of course, explains the pass Norm Coleman gets from fellow republicans for his “performance” in office.
The reason American casualties are lower (and they are) isn’t because of “the surge”; casualities are lower because General Petraeus changed doctrine from conventional to unconventional warfare. Did “the surge” help? YOU BET. But it wasn’t the surge; it was the change in doctrine that made this possible.
I find the same (deleted) that demand “victory!” in Iraq, are the same (deleted) that still – to this day – believe victory was possible in Viet Nam.
Thinking people need to keep in mind the similarities between Iraq and Northern Ireland/Viet Nam. There are many similarities.
Why republicans refuse to recognize reality is the subject for a different thread; the subject of this thread is the difficulty of leaving a place we never should have been – Iraq.

Tommy, suggest you pick up a paper. You’re talking points are stale.

Is he the guy that used to post here under the handle “Brian Hanna”? Or “LakevilleDad”?
He’s at least as delusional and silly as those two were… same writing style too…

“He’s at least as delusional and silly as those two were… same writing style too…”
I’d respond, but Michael won’t allow me to hit back at those unable to defend themselves. Says he’ll ban me if I do.
So, go ahead and take your shots; when I don’t respond, you’ll know why: in the republican world, rules don’t apply to them.
I find it ironic, that the “rules don’t apply to ourselves” is the policy here, in the micro, just as “we republicans don’t hold fellow republicans responsible for the FUBAR we republicans created in Iraq”, in the macro.
Well, I find it typical, too.

Folks: Let’s tone it down a bit.

Hey, Michael – on the lighter side, did you see this one?

“Two putt” Tommy Johnson is a real guy. Those that know him tell me not to take anything he says too seriously; he’s just a fat guy that likes to run his fat mouth.

Go with that, Swiftee – it works for you.

Damn straight it does.
