MN GOP PRESS RELEASE: “NY STATE FILES $25,000 JUDGMENT AGAINST AL FRANKEN INC. FOR NOT PAYING WORKERS’ COMP”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | March 4, 2008

St. Paul- Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Ron Carey today issued the following statement regarding public documents in New York that Al Franken has refused to pay a judgment to the state of New York for $25,000 for failure to pay workers' compensation.

"Al Franken is at it again.  While he demands that others play by the rules, he again proves there’s one set of rules for Al Franken and another set of rules for everybody else.  Franken and his campaign will try to hide behind technicalities to explain why he refused to pay workers compensation premiums.  At the end of the day, it's the kind of double-speak Franken's been using throughout his campaign.  He owes those labor unions that endorsed him an explanation for his unwillingness to play by the rules that were established to protect working men and women."

    A republican is claiming that??!?

    ROFLMAO!!!

EVERYONE knows that there’s nothing more in the republican tradition, than passing laws they have NO INTENTION of following – starting with Bush The Lesser and his “Signing Statements”….

As always (and as everybody with half a brain knows – hope it was ok to use you as an expample Two Putt) the rules are for everybody else, not Democrats. Goodness, next thing you know people will be asking Democrats to think for themselves! Can’t have that now can we…

“Goodness, next thing you know people will be asking Democrats to think for themselves!”

There’s 6 GOP members who would consider that an equal opportunity endeavor.
