TV CLIPS ABOUT AL FRANKEN’S FAILURE TO PAY WORKERS’ COMP INSURANCE

By Michael B. Brodkorb | March 7, 2008

This is a collection of TV clips about Al Franken’s failure to pay workers’ comp insurance. Bill O’Reilly of FOXNews labeled Franken “a pinhead.” Dan Abrams of MSNBC called Franken “our big loser of the day.” It’s been a tough week for Team Franken.

This post also appears on Blogs for Norm!, an online community and blog covering the 2008 U.S. Senate campaign in Minnesota. The primary goal of Blogs for Norm! is to organize bloggers who support U.S. Senator Norm Coleman.

You’re citing Bill O’Reilly, Mikey? Now there’s a credible source. Let’s take a trip down memory lane:

    http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/1013043mackris1.html

Hours after Bill O’Reilly accused her of a multimillion dollar shakedown attempt, a female Fox News producer fired back at the TV star today, filing a lawsuit claiming that he subjected her to repeated instances of sexual harassment and spoke often, and explicitly, to her about phone sex, vibrators, threesomes, masturbation, the loss of his virginity, and sexual fantasies. Below you’ll find a copy of Andrea Mackris’s complaint, an incredible page-turner that quotes O’Reilly, 55, on all sorts of lewd matters. Based on the extensive quotations cited in the complaint, it appears a safe bet that Mackris, 33, recorded some of O’Reilly’s more steamy soliloquies. For example, we direct you to his Caribbean shower fantasies. While we suggest reading the entire document, TSG will point you to interesting sections on a Thailand sex show, Al Franken, and the climax of one August 2004 phone conversation.

That damn O’Reilly sure does not have the cred of say a Dan Rather.

  3. TwoPuttTommy Says:
    March 7th, 2008 at 1:42 PM

    How “right” you are!!!

I’d say O’Reilly is “right” up there with, say, Jeff Gannon.

Again, liberals go after the messengers when they can’t defend Angry Al.

You moonbats are as predictable as liberals raising taxes.

  5. Pete Says:
    March 7th, 2008 at 2:29 PM

Thanks Chet. I thought I was on the wrong blog for a minute there. Al is obviously your typical liberal. Double standards and all.

  6. TwoPuttTommy Says:
    March 7th, 2008 at 2:43 PM

    Say, Pete?

O’Reilly is your typical “Family Values” republiCon.

BTW – when President Bush talked about his “mandate”, he was referrin’ to Gannon.

  7. Yoni Says:
    March 7th, 2008 at 2:51 PM

    Damn,

almost 4 hours since the last new MDE blog about the same thing. I hope Michael is ok.

Twopud, you seem obsessed with this website. Can’t stay away… Why don’t you take your nasty self away from here, it was not created for people like you. All you do is come here and put people down for their views. You’re a stupid lib, and this is a conservative website.

    Scram, K?

  9. TwoPuttTommy Says:
    March 7th, 2008 at 3:57 PM

    Say, Red?

    You Neo-Cons amuse me.

Fortunately, you’re a distinct minority, in your little tent.

  10. el presidente Says:
    March 7th, 2008 at 4:34 PM

This reminds me of La Tendra Rosa, [Love] “Theme from the Red Tent.”

Bill O’Reilly and Al Franken have BOTH made their livings saying some very outlandish things. Some things have been about each other.

    Jeff Gannon’s extra credit credentials?

All of the facts have not come out yet. Who is the MN DFL going to endorse at the State Convention in June 2007?

What is Norm Coleman’s postion on the WAR IN IRAQ compared and contrasted with: Ciresi, Franken, & Nelson-Pallmeyer?

  11. Stonewall Jackson Says:
    March 7th, 2008 at 4:35 PM

    Good point, RedGirl.

Since no one reads the blog of TPT (which stands for Too Pathetic To be a man) he (or is it she, in the DFL you never know) has to come over here.

Otherwise, to avoid being like the proverbial tree falling in the empty forest, he has to take his nasty grams over here, begging “Please, please, someone pay attention to me.”

  12. Big Kahuna Says:
    March 7th, 2008 at 4:39 PM

Which is why puddles and his big mouth are afraid to take the wager that if Norm loses I will never post here again, if he wins puddles never posts here again.

He knows full well Michael could make it happen, but since this is where he gets people to read the drivel he writes, he would hate to lose the only place where others can read his shit.

Puddles, no jump boots for me, just the plain old regular issue boots, how about I make you lick them. ;) Would not be that far of a reach for a short fat shell fo a man like you. :)

  13. Chet Says:
    March 7th, 2008 at 4:53 PM

Neo-Con: Term made up by liberals that means absolutely nothing to anyone but them.

    OneNut: Idiot.

  14. TwoPuttTommy Says:
    March 7th, 2008 at 4:57 PM

little stones, you forgot why I won’t wager with you, again?

  15. el presidente Says:
    March 7th, 2008 at 5:51 PM

Chet, here is a snippet from Dictionary.com

“neo-conservatism – noun- an intellectual and political movement in favor of political, economic, and social conservatism that arose in opposition to perceived liberalism of the 1960′s.”

  16. Swiftee Says:
    March 7th, 2008 at 8:10 PM

    “perceived” liberalism of the 1960’s??

If the sixties constituted perceived liberalism I’d hate to experience the real thing!

Say, are all of those pathetic old farts I see wandering around St. Paul wearing moldy old tie dyed t-shirts and carrying signs with anti-American pap written on them perceived hippies or just washed up hippies?

  17. Swiftee Says:
    March 7th, 2008 at 8:13 PM

I’m guessing that considering what an absolute moron he is, 2pud can’t back a wager that exceeds a $3 a week paycheck.

Then again, considering that he spends every day, all day, from sunup to sundown, right here typing comments a $3 a week job might be a bit of a stretch for him at that.

  18. el presidente Says:
    March 7th, 2008 at 8:40 PM

Swiftee didn’t seem to like Dictionary.com so here is a little of Merriam-Webster’s neoconservative:

    1. a former liberal espousing conservativism
    2. a conservative who advocates the assertive promotion of democracy and United States national interest in international affairs including through military means

[I don't think that this has a lot to do with discussing issues of the candidates running from Minnesota to the United States Senate but, I'll accommodate you for a bit.]

  19. Cash N Carey Says:
    March 7th, 2008 at 8:43 PM

    Swiftee,

Don’t be mean to 2putz. He can’t help it. Just think of his life, spending all of his time on a web site he seems to dislike, saying nasty things all of the time. He doesn’t have a real life. His parents probably get mad at him for using the computer all the time. Show some compassion man.

    God bless you Michael.

  20. Pete Says:
    March 7th, 2008 at 9:28 PM

Swiftee, do you really thing PUtt has a job? I figure he is setting there at the library cause his welfare check won’t cover the internet charges. I can’t figure out what kind of job a guy like him could hold down. Unless he is cleaning out turkey barns… that would explain a lot.

  21. Swiftee Exposer Says:
    March 7th, 2008 at 11:21 PM

Hey, is that whacked out biker dude on the Pair O’ Dice website really a methhead? Sure looks like one!

  22. el presidente Says:
    March 8th, 2008 at 1:24 AM

Era interesante. Especialmente la parte sobre madre y nino.

  23. Honeydog Says:
    March 8th, 2008 at 3:48 PM

Swiftee Exposer, are you calling Bugs Bunny a meth head? LOL, I have a feeling Warner Bros will want a word with you over that comment.

  24. Red Girl Says:
    March 8th, 2008 at 6:38 PM

Well, since the word “neo” means new, it does not apply here.

Most real conservatives are nowhere near to being new conservatives. We’ve had the same logical and reasoned beliefs for many years.

Just leave off the neo, and call me conservative. It’s an honorable title.

Liberal, now that’s an absolute insult!

  25. TwoPutzTommy Says:
    March 8th, 2008 at 8:21 PM

Notice I never stay on topic?

  26. HCDFL Says:
    March 9th, 2008 at 8:57 AM

    Red Girl;
So if a “Real” Republican, is not a Neo-Con, why do “Real” Republicans let the Neo-Cons run the show?
    That’ll do Sheeple that’ll do

  27. Pete Says:
    March 9th, 2008 at 10:23 AM

HCDFL, You ask that question like it is fact. It is not. You, as usual, are wrong. You need to stop reading the DFL talking points each day and start thinking for yourself. Now go back into the barn with you little animal friends…

  28. HCDFL Says:
    March 9th, 2008 at 12:03 PM

    Pete;
Even “my little animal friends” know that the Neo – Cons and their leader “smiling Dick” are in charge of your party.
The Neo – Cons/Republicans had four years of total control and yet they failed to address any of the issues that “Real” Republicans stand for, why?
Because by not changing legislation on wedge issues they keep you coming back for more, basically they can control you.
The Neo – Cons have told you that dissent and opposition are unpatriotic.
They have told you that government doesn’t work then went on to prove it.
The have told you the government is to big, and yet they increased the size.
They told you they would cut spending, and yet they are biggest spenders ever.
So is Norm Coleman, a “Real” Republican or a Neo – Con?
If I ever do get the DFL daily talking points, I will be sure and share them with you.
    That’ll do Sheeple that’ll do

  29. Pete Says:
    March 9th, 2008 at 3:35 PM

No HCDFL, the world has manged to expose idiots like you who will do and say anything no matter how wrong you are. Your defense of Angry Al shows that clearly. You have no credibility son, none what-so-ever. Now get back to your reading so that next time you are up to date on todays DFL talking points – you seem to have most of them correct in this post but you are missing a few. And take your little animal friends (wink wink) with you.

  30. el presidente Says:
    March 10th, 2008 at 12:53 AM

——> “Dedicated to a TRUTHFUL DISCUSSION on the activities, tactics, and statements of Minnesota Democrats.”

need to Re-focus: “TRUTHFUL DISCUSSION” [as the headline states]

  31. Pete Says:
    March 10th, 2008 at 9:29 AM

ok, el presidente, we will wait while you re-focus. Please let us know when your ready…

  32. TwoPuttTommy Says:
    March 10th, 2008 at 10:22 AM

Pete, if there’s ANYONE that has “no credibility”, is a republiCon. Especially a so-called “Family Values” republiCon.

RepubliCon Bob Livingston resigned due to a sex-scandal; adultry. republiCon – and noted “Family Values” guy – Bob Vitter replaced him. So, what does this “Family Values” guy do, to avoid adultry?

    Hookers.

Meanwhile, noted “Family Values” republiCon Larry Craig is cheatin’ on his wife, only he’s doin’ anonymous homosex in bathrooms.

What do consistently inconsistent republiCons do?

Try to kick out Craig, because apparently doin’ homos in a bathroom is cheatin’ worse on your wife than doin’ hookers in a hotel room.

Even if the only reason you were elected by your fellow republiCons, is the previous repbuliCon, Bob Livingston, resigned for doin’ other guys wives.

Look in the mirror, son. But, quit yer toe-tappin’ – the “Family Values” types in your party might mistake your intentions….

  33. Pete Says:
    March 10th, 2008 at 11:34 AM

PUtt, you can add yourself to the list from what I’ve seen about you.

  34. Pete Says:
    March 10th, 2008 at 7:52 PM

Puddles, how about your pal Gov. Eliot Spitzer? Think he is having a good day? But suppose people like you and him have to pay for what they get…

  35. TwoPuttTommy Says:
    March 11th, 2008 at 7:11 AM

Spanky, Spitzer is gonna get what he deserves. (Cheney)er broke the public trust; if the trail leads there, I hope he enjoys his stay in ClubFed.

Former federal prosecutor, now governor, doin’ hookers??!? What a moron.

  36. Hussein Obama Says:
    May 2nd, 2008 at 8:15 AM

I suspect the poster “TwoPudTommy” is none other than Frankin himself.

    What a loser!
