STAR TRIBUNE: “ENDORSE OR SUPPORT? DFL TIFF PIVOTS ON THE QUESTION”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | March 13, 2008

"Two former chairs of the DFL Party are taking the party's current leaders to task for publicly backing Barack Obama, saying it violates a historic party tradition of neutrality for people in their position.

Former Minnesota Attorney General Warren Spannaus and Koryne Horbal, founder of the party's feminist caucus, sent letters to DFL chair Brian Melendez and vice chair Donna Cassutt, blasting what Horbal called their 'cavalier disregard' for the party's constitution and traditions and asking that their endorsements be withdrawn.

Melendez has brushed off the criticism in a letter of his own. He wrote that he and Cassutt had not personally endorsed Obama but had said that, as Democratic superdelegates, they would back his nomination because he had won the Minnesota caucuses. In an interview, Melendez said this 'is a real non-issue in the party.' Everything he does draws complaint from someone, he said." Source: Star Tribune, March 13, 2008

O.K – let me get this straight: Melendez and Cassutt are voting for Obama, but they don't personally support Obama.  That's what I call courage.

MBB writes, “That is what I call courage.”

Well, let’s see…..I’ve read Call It Courage by Armstrong Sperry. There is Profiles in Courage by John Kennedy.

For MBB’s comments highlighted in RED letters, perhaps the Wizard of Oz may award him with the RED Badge of Courage, and transport him to the RED state of Kansas.

PAW CLAWS rips & tears & rails & VETOES a gas tax bill, however the money ($) that the tax brings the state of Minnesota probably helps to pay his PERSONAL salary as governor, perhaps some of the salary of his spouse, perhaps some of the salary of those who assist the governor, etc.

The above post is more proof that the war on drugs is failing.

Yes, courage is starting an anonymous website to smear a group of people.

Perhaps the invitation to NARN on Saturday, should also include not only “Brave” Democrats but, also that whole “group” of people that have what MBB [first] called “courage”.
