I suspect that AFF and IFF are , in part, being funded by Iowan businessman, Bruce “Mr. Ethanol” Rastetter.

Yeah, nothing like exploiting the death of Americans for political gain, kinda like Bush and Rove used 9/11 to get elected in ‘04.

The only thing I am scared of is more lying Republicans in office.

His Press Release, when he announced, says – and I quote:

“Paulsen launches this bid after years of working in a bipartisan fashion, across the aisle, to get results inn the business world and in the Minnesota legislature.”

Kennedy blew his credibility “right” away; now ol’ Smokescreen and The Hustler have, too.

Granted, this ad is not paid for by Coleman, but it’s the same thing. Don’t alienate your base more than you have already. You need them to come out and vote for you.

Support Sen. Coleman or not?

In a rare show of public discontent, some of the leaders of the McLeod County Republican Party showed their displeasure with U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman, R-Minn., and indicated to district and state party officials that they might not campaign for Coleman if he is endorsed for re-election this year.

In response, Eric Haapala, chairman of the 7th District Republicans, shot back stating it was the duty of the Republican leadership, even at the county level, to bury personal feelings and back Republican candidates.

The issue boiled to the surface Saturday morning at the McLeod County Republican Convention in Silver Lake. When the heated discussion was over, neither side yielded. No endorsement vote came up.

The battle line was drawn over Coleman’s voting record in the U.S. Senate that angered five of the eight county Republican executive board members enough to sign a letter sent to Coleman Oct. 12, 2007.

“Your voting record is disappointing to say the least,” the letter stated. “Reviewing some of your votes within the last month, we wonder if you have forgotten that you are a Republican and not a Democrat.”

And I hate outside 527 groups, I guess it means that Tom Harkin is 100% if Iowa republicans are going to be working on our race. I guess it counters Franken having NYC, LA, and SF fund his race instead of Minnesota.

When republiCons do something like that, that’s because it’s the “right” thing to do.

When the DFL does it, it’s because they’re liberal/leftist/socialist FRENCH FRY eatin’ APPEASERS.

Which, of course, only goes to show, once again, why GOP now stands for GreedOverPrinciples.

But, the REAL POINT of that ad, shows that ol’ Smokescreen is a RINO..
