PIONEER PRESS: “SEN. COLEMAN COMES OUT SWINGING AT FRANKEN”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | March 19, 2008

"In advance of the official kick-off of his re-election campaign, Republican U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman portrayed himself as a bipartisan uniter and his presumptive opponent, Democratic candidate Al Franken, as "mean, angry and divisive."

Coleman, in a brief appearance before the Minnesota Capitol press corps, said in one breath that the Senate race will be about issues and his 'very, very positive vision' and in the next that Franken lacks the experience and temperament to be in the Senate.

'Mr. Franken can't show a single day in the last 30 years that he has done anything to help any Minnesotan solve any problem,' said Coleman, a first-term senator who will begin a re-election campaign tour a week from today. 'The reality is I'll be running against someone whose temperament is such, who style is such, of being incredibly divisive, incredibly angry.'

Coleman, who is considered one of the most vulnerable Senate Republicans in the country, earlier this week joined the Minnesota Republican Party in highlighting a video that shows Franken reading from his 1996 book 'Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot.' The video includes Franken using explicit language and the type of pidgin English featured in Asian stereotypes to depict an imagined Vietnam era military squad made up of conservative Republican leaders.

Coleman said today that he expects that he and others will continue to focus on Franken's temperament as displayed in his past career as a comedian." Source: Pioneer Press, March 19, 2008

Strib Reports on Coleman’s Drug-filled Past

WASHINGTON – An open letter by a marijuana activist sparked a flurry of attention Wednesday about which candidates for Minnesota’s U.S. Senate seat experimented with illegal substances in the past.

Norm Kent, a former classmate of U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman at Hofstra University, posted a letter on a marijuana Web site about Coleman’s marijuana use in the 1960s. Kent, whom Coleman defeated in a student government race at the university, recalled an instance when the New York-born Coleman stood atop a building during a protest and smoked marijuana.

Too bad this site was not around when Norm was a democrat as I am sure it would be fun to dig up all of puddles acolades for him when he was on his side. ;)

Puddles you are a party hack and you have so little to offer, in your world do you think you make a difference? From where I am sitting it seems like all you do is bitch on blogs and try to get a rise out of folks.

Pretty sure you are just another fat lazy piece of shit who contibutes nothing to the real world. :)
