REPORTER COMPLIMENTS COLEMAN FOR ANSWERING QUESTION AFTER CAMPAIGN EVENT; POSTS PICTURE OF FRANKEN STAFF USHERING FRANKEN “OUT OF THE CAPITOL”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | March 26, 2008

"Here's where they differed:  Coleman made time to do Q&A with the press after his remarks and Franken did not.  Reporters literally chased after Franken, but staff ushered him out of the Capitol.  We like the opportunity to ask follow-up questions. A lot of questions arise in a half-hour speech.  Access is good.  I understand there are tight schedules, but it's good for schedulers to schedule time for press after a speech, even if it's brief.  We're tight on time too." The picture Lahammer posted is priceless.  The tall guy helping push Franken out of the capitol is JD Schlough, formerly of MN Publius.

    Michael,

why isn’t Schlough with MN Publius anymore?

Perhaps there will be an opportunity for a reporter to take a photo of someone’s staff ushering Coleman OUT of the USA Capitol Building sometime shortly after the elections.

Wow, according to Rachel Stassen-Berger of the PiPress, “Coleman did have a brief availability after the speech but only took two questions before his spokesman called for the last question.”

That’s not really anything to be proud over. I’d call that a purposely staged “taking-questions-so-Michael-can-say-I-took-questions” moment. It definitely wouldn’t count as a full press conference.

So three questions? That’s three times what Angry Al was willing to do before sprinting from reporters.

Franken has no class -just anger.

    Say, little stones?

Yesterday, ol’ Smokescreen claimed you guys love public servants!

Why would ol’ Smokescreen say that? You republiCons think public employees are scum….

Poor puddles, such hate for Norm, I wonder how you will feel when he wins again. I suppose we will hear of the sky falling stories from your ilk. ;)

Puddles, did you ever grow a set yet and willing to take me up on that bet of Norm winning? ;)

C’mon puddles, surely a hard core combat vet like yourself could not be afraid of a little bet that may or may not block you from posting here. I realize that would effect your world much more than mine as you seem to have little to offer society with any type of production.

It is kind of a shame how tough you like to talk here and how often you write about bootlickers, yet it seems you are very afraid to put your posting rights on the line. ;)

It is not the public servants that are often the problem, it is liberal politicians with your type of unrealistic views that are the problem puddles. ;)

Go back to typing on the public dole little puddles. ;)

little stones, I actually like ol’ Smokescreen!

I especially like the way he’s goin’ back to bein’ a democrat – and how much it pisses off the rightwingnut base!!!

    But, hey – even though he’s a “RINO” – he’s YOUR “RINO”.

    He just votes with us!!!
