TEAM FRANKEN WORRIES ABOUT FRANKEN MELTDOWN; WON’T ALLOW MEDIA TO RIDE WITH FRANKEN
By Michael B. Brodkorb | April 7, 2008
The lengths to which Team Franken keeps the media at an arms lengths from Al Franken has been well documented on Minnesota Democrats Exposed. But even the uber-liberal publication, The Atlantic, couldn’t tag along with Team Franken for the day:
“To project a more senatorial air, Franken is trying hard to watch what he says, and his staff has placed him in a kind of protective custody: journalists are not allowed to ride along, as is standard campaign practice, lest they overhear and report an undignified remark.” Source: The Atlantic, May 2008
This article is not online yet, but I was given a copy by a dedicated reader of Minnesota Democrats Exposed.
It’s clear that Team Franken is worried about a Franken meltdown similar to one Mike Hatch had in the final days of the 2006 elections

Dear Mr. Brodkorb,
If you want credibility for your views it helps to get your facts right. Calling the Atlantic an “uber-liberal publication” exposes your ignorance. Harpers is liberal. The Atlantic is conservative. I’ve subscribed to both for decades. The Atlantic used to be liberal but it certainly isn’t any more. - Tim the Enchanter

Tim: The Atlantic Monthly is conservative? Come on.

If Norm can work across Party lines then he should prove it by arranging local, county, state, national, and international dialogue about immigration reform.

The Angry Al meltdown will be much more fun to watch than the Angry Mike Hatch one was.
I am sure Angry Al will be graceful in his loss.

Sorry Big Kahuna but flip-flopping Norm will be beaten like a red-headed stepchild. Al may be goofy but he’s one of us. Norm is from NYC and spent the majority of his life as a democrat.

Tim,
You’ve got to be kidding. Norm is from NYC and Al isn’t??!!?? That’s not spin, that’s just B.S.! Franken has spent more of his life in NYC than Coleman ever has. Let’s not forget that Franken is a carpet bagger who moved from NYC to MN for the express purposes of running for office. Sounds like other Minnesota politicians (and politician wannabes I know of).

Norm sounds like a New Yorker when he talks; Franken sounds more like a Minnesotan.
