Yep, great job Governor you killed job development in the inner city and greater Minnesota. Great job at doing your best at preventing the Twin Cities area from ever becoming a world-class (modern) city.

Thanks to your strong leadership probably half of the Republican delegates will get stuck in traffic and miss it when you are officially not be nominated for VP.

I still think that crying when your project is cut is pretty lame.

And unless you’re an insider, how do you know if and/or when the governor came to the table?

By the way, I read that the cost of the new light rail line would be 909 million dollars. Jerry, you cooked the books and you’re still 340 million short. 70 million in bonding plus 500 million in federal funds does not equal the 909 million total. Where does the remaining 340 million come from?

Let me re-phrase that last one: Which tax will you raise to pay for the 340 million?

Ha ha! What really is out of control is the Governor’s vindictive nature. He vetoed projects out of spite, instead of using any substantial criteria.

It’s hard to blame the legislature when the Governor won’t even come to the table.

The more that I think about it though, McCain might pick him… he seems to be an expert at avoiding responsibility, exactly like the administration he hopes to follow in Washington.

Apparently TPaw was so set on punishing the DFL, that he rejected a half billion dollars in federal funding for central corridor just so he could prove how fiscally responsible he is.

The line is going to be built. Now, it just will have to be built with 100 percent Minnesota taxpayer dollars rather than with a half billion dollars from the feds.

How again is this smart?

Dear Governor Pawlenty,

Thank you for showing that new-found fiscal discipline that minority GOPers are becoming known for. You know, like how your fellow GOPers John Kline and Michelle Bachmann have decided they don’t like earmarks, any more? Well, not that Kline was any good at it, anyway. And Bachmann? Way too busy looking for a camera, to look for bridge money.

But I digress. By line-iteming your Central Corridor project, you suddenly put the federal funds that would have been attached to it, available to other projects, in other states!

And here in the Bay Area, we’ll put that money to good use.
