COMING SOON: TICKED-OFF BONOFF CONSTITUENTS, FINAL UPDATE ON INTERVIEWS REGARDING GRIEVING PARENTS ACT
By Michael B. Brodkorb | April 10, 2008
Tomorrow I’ll be providing a final update to my posts about an interview I did with Elizabeth Lavang and Sandy Maclean about State Senator Terri Bonoff’s handling the Grieving Parents Act in the Minnesota Senate.
I’ll also have another story about Bonoff’s bad behavior while in a meeting with constituents. Please check back to Minnesota Democrats Exposed tomorrow for the posts.

L&M (Lavang & Maclean) are ticked-off; MBB will post their GPA (Grieving Parent Act) comments today.
We’ll just have to wait to see just how ticked-off L&M are about their GPA.

You know something el presidente, these two parents are genuinely upset and have a legitimate grievance against Sen. Terri Bonoff, their own State Senator.
I too have spoken with Maclean for nearly an hour in a one-on-one format where she spelled out the same story that Michael has written about (and fact-checked 3 times).
The real thrust of this story is the dishonest representation that Bonoff is offering to the people that elected her and will continue to be represented by her for the next two years, no matter what happens at tomorrow’s convention.
This is not about an ethics violation in terms of dollars and cents, but at minimum—this is a story about two Wayzata citizens who sought help in carrying forth good and honest legislation that (I believe) ANY mother in this state would support.
Upon learning of pending endorsement problems, Bonoff dropped the Grieving Parents Act faster than Bill Clinton drops his pants.
Will the Senate ethics committee investigate?
–>No. This does not fit the criteria for such an investigation.
But know this folks:
This is a true and glaring example of political opportunism at its worst and should send a message to any person with a current election certificate on his or her wall:
The citizens of MN will hold you accountable to promises that you’ve made.
I believe a certain 6 MN House members have already found this out the hard way.

Sometimes I have found that people find it a bit too easy, to be a tad sanctimonious, about some things.
The world doesn’t always revolve around politics and political involvement, as much as some people would like to think and/or believe that it does.
