MDE EXCLUSIVE: THE SMOKING GUN IN THE FRANKEN WORKERS’ COMP STORY

    By Michael B. Brodkorb | April 10, 2008

When the news broke on Minnesota Democrats Exposed that Al Franken’s corporation had been fined $25,000 by the State of New York for failure to provide workers’ compensation for his corporation’s employees, Team Franken told the Star Tribune that the Frankens had moved to Minnesota and they didn’t know that State of New York was trying to reach them:

“Campaign spokesman Andy Barr said that neither Franken nor his wife, Franni, were aware of the matter before Tuesday. They have lived in Minneapolis for the past few years and did not know about the state’s attempts to reach them in New York City, he said.” Source: Star Tribune, March 4, 2008

Click here for the complete story

Late yesterday, I received the smoking gun in the story about Al Franken’s failure to provide workers’ compensation insurance for his corporation’s employees.

Franken’s alma mater, Harvard, recently published the Class of ‘73 35th Anniversary Report, which contains a personal message and plea for campaign cash from Franken. I have removed the other names mentioned in this public report.

The home address listed for Franken in this public report is 90 Riverside Drive, Apt. 2-G, New York, NY 10024.

This is the same address were the State of New York sent a certified letter and dozens of other letters notifying Franken about issues related to his failure to provide workers’ compensation insurance for his corporation’s employees. I have blacked-out Franken’s phone number and personal e-mail.

Contrary to the statements of Team Franken, which implied that the Frankens had moved to Minnesota, the truth is that the Frankens still maintain this residence in New York.

Two phone calls placed to the phone number listed in Harvard Class of ‘73 35th Anniversary Report went unanswered.

Please check back to Minnesota Democrats Exposed for more information on this developing story.

Listen carefully and you’ll hear a anguished “Doh!” coming from Plato Ave.

Nice work Mike; this will set Angry Al’s hair on fire. I predict the MSM will catch on tomorrow.

      April 10th, 2008 at 12:13 pm

BTW. I think it is perfectly appropriate to hang a big, fat LIAR tag on Al right about now.

NotSoSwiftly, why don’t you offer him yours?

Michal, you call that a “smoking gun”??!?

There is only so many times you can beat a dead horse MDE… apparently you are still trying to figure that out.

    5. Chet Says:
      April 10th, 2008 at 1:00 pm

Here come the Liberal Truth Deniers. Angry Al is allowed by these people to not pay for Workers Comp on his employees, he’s able to lie about it, and when the smoking gun proving his lie shows up - it’s a dead horse, it’s no big deal.

Liberals are such hypocrites. If any Republican had been found out to be one day late on their workers comp as a business owner unions would be picketing and these clowns would be demanding their resignation.

    6. Swiftee Says:
      April 10th, 2008 at 1:03 pm

Mine’s hanging from your fake CIB 2punk.

No surprise here, one lefty scumbag that lies about his military record defending another lefty scumbag that lies about, well everything.

    7. Swiftee Says:
      April 10th, 2008 at 1:08 pm

One cannot help but notice Franken’s “non-donation request” donation request.

Really, how desperate can the Democrat party get? Franken establishes a new low for the party of scrubs.

    8. Big Kahuna Says:
      April 10th, 2008 at 1:10 pm

Chet you are exactly right and the people like puddles will write them excuses all day long.

One must remember with liberals it is not what is best for all, it is about what is best for their agenda and party. Pretty sick in all honesty. Problem is folks like puddles are not bright enough to see past their marching orders.

    9. Nick Says:
      April 10th, 2008 at 1:26 pm

I love how Michael has managed to find an issue that doesn’t resonate with any group of people other than the insane clown possee right.

I guess Franken will have to settle for competing for the other 99.6 percent of Minnesotans who understand that clerical errors do, sometimes, happen.

Keep up the (Inconsequential) good work!

    10. D Says:
      April 10th, 2008 at 1:33 pm

      “Clerical errors”?!?!?

Is that what you call AVOIDING the answer of certified mail, sent to your HOME, requesting you to LEGALLY comply with paying the taxes you are LEGALLY required to pay?

Paul (Minnesota is a better place with me gone) Wellstone did the SAME thing. Avoided paying his TAXES! Now Angry Al has been nabbed. Both of these socialist PIGS think its fine-and-dandy to slam the rest of the Nation with taxes to redistribute wealth, but NOOOOOOOO NOOOOOOOO…THEY don’t have to pay their fair share.

By the way, when will Gloria Wise get the money back that Franken-fraud stole from the kids? Never.

    11. D Says:
      April 10th, 2008 at 1:35 pm

But, here’s a bigger question: When are the Media (aka Angry Al’s lapdog society) going to do even a LITTLE investigative journalism and find there things?

Oh yeah, I forgot. They are too busy reporting on global warming and Britney Spears’ underwear.

Does anyone wonder why nobody takes them seriously anymore?

    12. Chet Says:
      April 10th, 2008 at 1:38 pm

If they had video of Angry Al beating his employees with whips they’d call it a “clerical error”. “Those employees just happened to walk in the way of Al exercising, getting ready to whip the Senate into shape”.

Liberal Truth Deniers have no shame.

    13. D Says:
      April 10th, 2008 at 1:40 pm

And for all you DFL/Liberal excuse makers…don’t worry…the rest of Minnesota will find out about this soon enough. Why fire all your best ammo in April, when you can torpedo Angry Al’s ship in October? Its called: Winning an election.

    16. D Says:
      April 10th, 2008 at 2:14 pm

I love the “New York Norm” stuff. While I’m certainly not his biggest fan, at least:

A: He moved to Minnesota well over 20 years ago and has been a Minnesota taxpayer for those years.

B: He ran for election (twice, successfully) in Minnesota after spending nearly a decade working in Minnesota.

C: Isn’t a self-admitted carpet bagger, who has said he moved back to Minnesota only to run for public office. That’s the text book definition of “carpetbagger”.

    17. Jerry the Queer Says:
      April 10th, 2008 at 2:32 pm

Other fun facts about New York Norm:

D: Was a lifelong democrat when he arrived in Minnesota. He even ran for office his first time as a democrat, and gave a rousing speech endorsing Paul Wellstone.

E: Lost his only other election facing an entertainer to former all star wrestler Jesse Ventura.

F: This left his confidence so shaken, he had to have Karl Rove call Tim Pawlenty and beg him not to run against Coleman for the senate.

    18. Frank Alan Says:
      April 10th, 2008 at 2:34 pm

Here are some of my other favorite fun facts about New York Norm:

D: Was a lifelong democrat when he arrived in Minnesota. He even ran for office his first time as a democrat, and gave a rousing speech endorsing Paul Wellstone.

E: Lost his only other election facing an entertainer to former all star wrestler Jesse Ventura.

F: This left his confidence so shaken, he had to have Karl Rove call Tim Pawlenty and beg him not to run against Coleman for the senate.

I see the liberals are trying to change the subject again. Angry Al’s fund rasing message in this report is obvious and needs to be looked into further. Liberals, once again proving that they feel they are above the law.

    20. Chestnut Says:
      April 10th, 2008 at 3:01 pm

      Hey Frank,
Remember Humphry in that gubernatorial race? The son of one of Minnesota’s most famous Democrats… Yeah, the lifelong Democrat who spent years in the A.G.’s office… yeah, everyone knew who he was, what he stood for… he was THE favorite to win that race against Ventura…

How’d that piece of scum fare?

    21. Chestnut Says:
      April 10th, 2008 at 3:03 pm

      Pete’s right.

AL FRANKEN IS A LIAR AND A FRAUD. He lied to his employees. He lied to state of New York about paying minimum taxes and benefits to pay his employees. HE LIED TO MINNESOTANS about his LAW BREAKING WAYS.

    22. Big Kahuna Says:

I have yet to read anywhere that Franken has withdrawn from the race.

Seems to me, this breaking news exclusive smoking gun hypetastic news really is taken like everything else MBB ever writes, that being, with a grain of salt due to Michael’s frequent inaccuracies.

I got the scoop from 2punks fellow VFW members. He’s a liar. He knows it, I know it and now, so do the members of VFW 425.

That’s nothing new for a Democrat, they are inveterate liars. That’s why this latest evidence that their hero, Angry Al Franken, lied to everyone is recieved by Democrats thusly:

“What? Another Democrat caught lying? Yaaaaawn.”

    31. TwoPuttTommy Says:

Puddles, weak come back. Swiftee, I’m believing you on this. Puddles is a little boy wanting to be a man. He found out that the DFL would fall for his shit so, according to him, he switched parties. His low standards fit right in with the DFL’ers.

    33. Swiftee Says:
      April 10th, 2008 at 7:03 pm

Funny, I was in there last Thursday and the only bounced check being discussed was the one your mouth wrote and your ass bounced, 2punk.

    38. Pete Says:

Yori, this is still about Angry Al, please try and keep up dude. I can certainly understand you desire to distract attention from this loser but the truth will continue to come out. At some point the MSM will latch on to this - they will have no other choice.

    39. TwoPuttTommy Says:
      April 11th, 2008 at 6:08 am

rePete, you give the MSM a lot more credit than they deserve.

    40. Pete Says:
      April 11th, 2008 at 6:59 am

You may be right puddles, the MSM is so liberal they may cover this up. Thank God we have Fox News available to make sure the truth gets broadcast since all of the other major network are merely branches of the Democrat party.

So Swiftee, please share with us what Puddles lied about so I can help get that out there. :)
