FROM STAR TRIBUNE: STATE COLLECTORS “HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TRACK DOWN FRANKEN”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | April 16, 2008

“Last month, Franken paid a $25,000 penalty to New York state for failure to pay workers’ compensation insurance while employing people from 2002 to 2005.

Franken, who said he never received more than a dozen notices from New York in part because he had recently moved to Minnesota, paid the penalty and an additional $833 fine for failing to pay disability insurance.

The comedian and author started AFI in 1991 in New York to manage his entertainment and speaking enterprises. He incorporated the business in California in 1998 and in Minnesota in 2005, when he and his wife moved to Minneapolis.

Barrett said that state corporate collectors would have been trying to track down Franken for the last few years.” Source: Star Tribune, April 16, 2008

Here’s another example of how stupid government bureaucrats are. “They’ve been trying to track Franken down for a few years.”

First, the guy is in California every other week for a fundraiser… HE’S RUNNING FOR SENATE. Not that hard to track down.

Second, his whereabouts have been very publicized since the carpetbagging pile moved back to Minnesota.

HEY CALIFORNIA, HE’S RIGHT HERE!!!! COME AND GET HIM!!!!

And these are the clowns who want to run healthcare. Shit.

Hell, I know where he lives!

And then there’s this: “Franken, who said he never received more than a dozen notices from New York ”

What, was the jackass going to start taking the warnings seriously if he got more than 13?

… of course, now he says he never got more than a dozen notices… though, I believe a couple months ago he said he’d never received any.

    Good grief!

There is a cure for this. Have Franken follow in Norm’s footsteps and turn from being a Democrat to a Republican.

Then all of this will disappear like magic.

    Good plan, el p.

Did ya notice these days, ol’ Smokescreen’s startin’ to sound like a Democrat, again?

Someone should make a huge placard that reads: “Hey, California Tax Authorities!!! I’ve found him!!!”

They should appear at every Al Franken event, and be very conspicuous.

It would also appear that the liberal bureaucrats in California deploy roughly the same tactics liberals use to stop genocide in Darfur, China’s human rights abuses, and about ever other atrocity… they send a letter.

I wonder if we could get the U.N. to pass a stern resolution on Franken’s tax dodging? My guess is he would take it just about as seriously as the despots. do.

If a neighbor’s house was on fire, I bet liberals would send a letter to the fire department.

On the genocide taking place in their country, a good response from the Sudanese government should be: “We didn’t know about it. We never received the notifications from the U.N.”

Where is poor Angry Al about all this. It appears his handlers are keeping him under wraps for now. ;)

My bet he is foaming at the mouth somewhere and they are going to do what they can to keep the public from seeing him like that. ;)
