MN GOP PRESS RELEASE: “REPUBLICAN PARTY OF MINNESOTA CONGRATULATES ERIK PAULSEN ON ENDORSEMENT OF THIRD CD REPUBLICANS”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | April 19, 2008

Bloomington – Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Ron Carey today issued the following statement regarding Erik Paulsen’s endorsement by Third Congressional District Republicans.

“I commend Erik Paulsen on his endorsement by Third Congressional District Republicans. Erik’s practical business experience, strong record of achievement in public service, and proven leadership all combine to make him a great choice. I’m confident Erik’s optimistic, pro-growth agenda will resonate with voters and we will keep this seat in Republican hands.

Ron is the MN GOP Chairperson? It seems to me that Ron is the person who checks up on candidates who are not-yet-even-endorsed by the DFL and writes letters to other states.

    “…endorsement OF third CD Republicans”

How many Republicans did Erik Paulsen endorse?

Perhaps the “of” should have gone bye-bye, and perhaps slightly different wording and the word “by” should have been used by substitution.

    What a shock.

    Nice call, Cheney!

  5. Chestnut Says:

Not that Cheney has anything to do with it, but better to have good standing with him, than with some slack-jaw socialist psychopath like Howard Dean.

Hey Frank, is there a Democrat in the country that’s worth a shit? Seems they’re all do nothing, bitchers and complainers without the backbone or vision to do much of anything… well, I guess that’s not entirely true… Democrats do a good job of parroting Al Queda leaders and doing what they can to hamstring any effort to fight terrorists.

Hammas endorsed Obama. I wonder if Carter was really sent over there on a fund raising mission.

Chestnut – you forgot to include liars in your description of Democrats.

Chestnut….living up to your name “toxic Republicans”, eh? With an attitude like yours, soon your party can hold their conventions in a phone booth. Read your post and consider….you won’t win elections with your 25% base. Read your post and consider why the Reagan Democrats and independents and moderate Republicans have run from the GOP…….thanks for helping the Democratic Party. We’ll do a great job leading this country with a HUGE coalition of everyone not ideologically pure enough to be invited into your phone booth.

  8. Chestnut Says:
    April 20th, 2008 at 1:07 PM

WMD, sorry to see you have such a difficult time with history.

“you won’t win elections with your 25% base… We’ll do a great job leading this country with a HUGE coalition of everyone not ideologically pure enough to be invited into your phone booth.”

Advice liberals should take to heart. The Democrat party is a pure strain of intolerance, hate and greed.

  9. Chestnut Says:
    April 20th, 2008 at 1:09 PM

There is such a thing as “Reagan democrats”… because the middle of the spectrum won’t swallow the Leftist line that America and Jews are to blame for all the wrongs in the world… they also have a hard time with liberals propensity to kill children, persecute the faithful, and strip them of their constitutional rights to live life on their terms.

Seriously, nominate either the elitist, racist piece of trash Obama, or the dishonest, calculating Clinton… bring it on.

  10. West Metro Dem Says:
    April 20th, 2008 at 2:14 PM

Hmmmm…who’s having trouble with history, Chestnut? I do believe Bush has done more to strip constitutional rights than every Dem added together. You don’t need to throw out crap about Jews are to blame for all the wrongs in the world. Carter did more for middle east peace by promoting Camp David than the GOP could hope for. Maybe you should be reading history…..not rewriting your own.

  11. Chestnut Says:
    April 20th, 2008 at 3:02 PM

WMD, you’re good at being very wrong. Bush has done nothing to strip anyone of any Constitutional right. He’s exercised the Powers of the President, but that’s about all.

Do you question any of the pablum bullshit spoon fed to you? Or do you just take pleasure repeating myths and lies? Try to be something more than a dumb, liberal sheep, would you?

… and I’m pretty sure FDR’s imprisonment of innocent Japanese and Germans in WWII ranks near the top of Constitutional abuses.

Carter is a joke. The Egypt agreement is the only bright spot to his Presidency. His betrayal of allies in Iran, however, and absolutely every other aspect of that retarded clown’s foreign policy are and continue to be nightmares for the U.S.

Carter is an anti-Semite. He’s much stupider than we gave him credit for. He’s an embarrassment.

  12. Chestnut Says:
    April 20th, 2008 at 3:10 PM

I maybe too hard on liberals. I mean, if you like high-crime, high-poverty and high-unemployment, they’re your party.

  13. West Metro Dem Says:
    April 20th, 2008 at 3:18 PM

Actually, if you like a strong fiscally responsible party with respect for your rights, it’s the Democrats. I do believe there has been too much negativism here that has eliminated any reasonable discussion. It’s gotten too toxic. I do enjoy discussing differences of opinions and perspective. I don’t like abuse. To me, verbal abuse weakens the argument.

  14. Chestnut Says:
    April 20th, 2008 at 4:00 PM

Lies weaken arguments too. Good grief.

“if you like a strong fiscally responsible party with respect for your rights, it’s the Democrats.”

That’s the funniest, most ridiculous, most flat fucking outrageous lie I’ve ever heard. There’s not a fiscal responsible ounce of flesh in the Democrat party. You have GOT to be kidding.

The only “rights” Democrats respect are the “rights” they invent to pretend they care about rights. What a joke.

  15. Chestnut Says:
    April 20th, 2008 at 4:05 PM

And don’t bitch about negativity, you’re the ass clown who called Dick Cheney “pure evil.”

    Hypocrite…

  16. West Metro Dem Says:
    April 20th, 2008 at 4:18 PM

Not me. I have never used profanity here. I have kept my discussion attempts within the bounds of civility.

  17. Chestnut Says:
    April 20th, 2008 at 4:32 PM

Yeah, it’s within the “bounds of civility” to levy ad hominem attacks that someone is “pure evil.”

That and telling bald-faced lies. Yeah, that’s some beautiful civility you’re practicing, WMD.

    Puh-l-EE-zzzzz…

  18. West Metro Dem Says:
    April 20th, 2008 at 4:34 PM

I did not call Cheney “pure evil”. Please point out where you believe I did so. You obviously cannot have a civil conversation about issues.

  19. Chestnut Says:
    April 20th, 2008 at 4:48 PM

    Here are some simple questions:

Whose “rights are protected” by Democrat policies to strip one class of people of their income and give it to another?

Whose “rights are protected” by Democrat policies require a minority of people to pay for the cost of government?

Whose “rights are protected” by Democrat-driven judicial fiats that prohibit any public expression of religious belief?

Whose “rights are protected” by legislation under the bullshit name “hate speech” criminalizes thought? Is it the second-class victim they create? Aren’t Jesse Jackson, Jeramaih Wright and Al Sharpton guilty of “hate speech” when they insight violence against whites and Jews?

Whose “rights are protected” by Democrat’s preference to legalize the slaughter of unborn children?

Democrat policies all lead to dependence on government, restricted freedom, oppression and death. That’s all.

  20. Chestnut Says:
    April 20th, 2008 at 4:51 PM

Oops, you’re right… I confused you’re drivel with the drivel of some moonbat on another thread.

You didn’t call anyone “pure evil”… but you are a bald-faced liar.

  21. PlymouthCharlie Says:
    April 20th, 2008 at 10:20 PM

Chestnut- You claim that Jimmy Carter is stupid. He was a nuclear physicist in the Navy. Regardless of the what you think of his presidency, Jimmy Carter is not stupid.

  22. el presidente Says:
    April 21st, 2008 at 1:16 AM

    Chestnut,

I have at least half a million unborn children [fertilized eggs] for you to start working on, or save from “slaughter”.

They are in the FERTILITY CLINICS across the USA [North American & Europe to add to raise the numbers if half a million is low in the USA].

What is done with the left over fertilized eggs after they are no longer wanted/needed by the couple or woman or man or ?

Someimes when one problem is solved a few more may be created.

  23. el presidente Says:
    April 21st, 2008 at 1:34 AM

    Chestnut,

Here are some simple answers [to #19]

    1. In general, and in a short answer, society’s.
    2. In general, and in a shorter answer, those that can afford pay the most do.
    3. In general, and in a shorter-type answer, although they may not realize it, the rights of the minority from the majority.
4A. Hate speech might better protect a minority person, which a majority person now, may one day be soon.
4B. 2nd class victim they create? NO
4C. Could be seen as that way depending on circumstances and what it said, etc.
    5. This is a tough on in that the Supreme Court tried to determine viability, and they did a pretty good job at the time.

It sill does not make people happy who claim that any kind of birth control/contraception is in the end dehumanizing, and that any kind of deletion of egg & sperm after they unite is killing and/or murder and/or death.

If that were the case perhaps we’d have to change the life insurance laws, or make some kind of accommodation.

If one takes selling a Life Insurance policy to/for a zygote, (Republican Policy?) there would also be problems.

  24. Chestnut Says:
    April 21st, 2008 at 8:13 AM

“[Jimmy Carter]“was a nuclear physicist in the Navy.”

Interesting comment… and factually false. He was an engineer… and spent a few months on a team working on the development of nuclear propulsion systems. … none of these systems when in to service until a couple years after Carter left the service.

Informed about nuclear technologies, he may have once been… but make no mistake, Jimmy Carter is one of the most retarded, intellectual retards ever to stumble into the White House. He’s a goddam train wreck.

  25. Chestnut Says:
    April 21st, 2008 at 8:15 AM

el presidente, you never cease to disappoint. Your brain has to be completely twisted in to knots.
