MN GOP PRESS RELEASE: “WASHINGTON WALZ TO RAISE BIG MONEY WITH NANCY PELOSI”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | April 21, 2008

St. Paul – Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Ron Carey today issued the following statement regarding Tim Walz’s fundraiser with Nancy Pelosi.

“Given that Tim Walz has voted to rubber stamp Nancy Pelosi’s liberal agenda 95 percent of time, it’s no surprise Pelosi is returning the favor by holding a big money fundraiser for him.  While Walz may have masqueraded as a moderate in 2006, he will now have to defend his far-left voting record. All the big money in the world can’t obscure the fact that Walz is promoting San Francisco values, not southern Minnesota values.”

Washington Walz Set To Raise Big Money With Nancy Pelosi Today:

“House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and DFL Sen. Amy Klobuchar are holding a fundraiser for DFL Rep. Tim Walz on April 21st. The event will be at the Graves 601 Hotel in Minneapolis.”  (Tom Scheck, “Pelosi And Klobuchar Holding Fundraiser For Walz,” Minnesota Public Radio Website, April 11, 2008)

Hhhmm….not enough money in Walz’s home district to hold it there? And isn’t Pelosi meeting with Veterans sometime today too? This is just wrong, I hope they question her about what happened to the Marine Recruiting station in her home district, and ask her what she’s done to stop it and support our troops. Hypocrite.

I told you Walz was Pelosi’s purse poodle. I wonder if he stands on his hind legs and begs for biscuits.

Remind me again how many times Norm Coleman has had George and/or Laura Bush here for fundraisers?

Could you see Walz?? I figued he would be under her dress. ;)

Walz is an oportunist, bootlicker who can only do as Pelosi tells him.

    What a boob!

Not sure Frank. We’re not concerned. Bush has a better record than Nancy Pelosi.

And apparently, there are those other horrible things Tim Walz is doing that out touch with Minnesota GOP values!

    http://www.startribune.com/local/17972549.html

Yes, my Republican friends, you should sound the alarm! Walz is spending time on these bums looking for a paycheck. After the opportunity the President gave them to serve Freedom, these democracy haters are demanding medical care!

He is truly out of touch with your good Republican values!

Wanna play Jeopardy? Sure you do.

    THE ANSWER: November 2006.

THE QUESTION: Name the last time George Bush’s approval rating cleared 40 percent.

Unlike Michael, I will source my facts: http://www.pollingreport.com/BushJob.htm

  11. Chestnut Says:
    April 21st, 2008 at 7:36 PM

    Frank,
    Answer: November 14 – 18, 2002

Question: When’s the last time the approval rating of Democrats in congress was consistently at 40 percent or better.

Note: They between then and the present, Democrats reached 41 percent once, in April 2007… since then, it’s been a steady downhill slide.

Democrats in Congress wish they had George Bush’s approval ratings.

    Frank,
Bush never did reach the nadir that the Democrat congress reached – 11% approval.
Or should I phrase that in a question?

  13. Chestnut Says:
    April 21st, 2008 at 8:02 PM

    Here’s some more:

    ANSWER: Nancy Pelosi

QUESTION: Which U.S. Speaker of the House lied to Syria’s terrorist-sponsoring leaders and offended our Israeli allies in one, stupid, ill-advised, arrogant conversation? (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,264334,00.html)

ANSWER: Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi

QUESTION: Which Democrat heads of state have steered millions of dollars in U.S. contracts and land deals to directly benefit either themselves or their immediate family members. (http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8KMJ8I00&show_article=1, and http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2006/11/nancy_pelosi_and_the_treasure.html)

Go on and rant all you want.

The RNC is BROKE!!!!! What money there is will be sent to McCain.

There will be no monies given to GOP Congressional candidates. They are on their own!! Dick Day and Brian Davis have raised barely enough to campaign against each other for the September Primary.

Jealous that Nancy was in the cities to hear the needs of Veterans and helpm Tim raise a few bucks??? Get W back in town to raise money for Norm!!!

When First Lady Laura Bush was in Rochester in October of 2006, 300 people showed up in support of the Local GOP candidates and for Gil.

A week later, Obama was in town for Amy Klobuchar and Tim Walz, 4,000 showed up.

  15. Chestnut Says:
    April 22nd, 2008 at 1:14 AM

Indeed. Time to stop the big money Democrats. All they have to offer is fear, doom and defeat.

Ironic that the party talking the economy into the ground is reaping the largest donations.

  16. kathy Says:
    April 22nd, 2008 at 1:35 AM

And that is a problem, Chesty???

Where are all the Big Oil, Big Business, Big Insurance Companies, Big Drug Company, and Big individual Donor donations to the GOP these days??? Not enough Tax Breaks and Subsidies to these interests???

Can we have a big AAAAAAWWWWWWW!!!

  17. Chestnut Says:
    April 22nd, 2008 at 1:44 AM

It’s only a problem in as much as the Democrats are selling a bitter pill.

The truth is Big (insert industry here) has never been that big a driver of GOP donations.

Hell, Insurance and Pharma companies actually skew Democrat in their contributions. Of course, you got the the trial lawyers and the pro-terrorist groups driving shitloads of cash your way.

How’s that Hamas endorsement of Obama going to play in Pioria?

And you wonder why reasonable people have left The Small Tent Party…..
