I mostly believe his story that he didn't know. The average person can't possibly understand all the arcane tax laws. Which is exactly why we need to scrap this system and go to a sales tac only. Really funny, really... because his account doesn't have to come forward with anything. It's pretty obvious they already knew that Franken was going to go public with the information... so why not put a press release together that makes it look like the GOP is responsible for them going public with it? He apparently paid it all to NY so he'll be paying $70,000 to various states and then amending his NY returns to get credit for taxes paid to other states. In the end, it all becomes a wash but instead of one state tax return, he's got to have 17 and the $70,000 he previously paid will get reallocated among 18 states. I guess now it is Norm's turn to fess up. Franken just fessed up and is paying $70,000 in tax.
