SELF-INDENTIFIED “MODERATE” ASHWIN MADIA PARTICIPATES IN LIVE-BLOG ON UBER-LIBERAL HATE SITE DAILY KOS

By Michael B. Brodkorb | May 6, 2008

Self-identified “moderate” Ashwin Madia participated in a live-blog on the uber-liberal hate site Daily Kos last evening. Madia wrote that he was “so excited to have this opportunity”:

“I’m so excited to have this opportunity – thank you for hosting me. I want the toughest questions that you have, because I really want to earn your support today, so fire away.” Source: Ashwin Madia, Daily Kos, May 5, 2008

In 2006, Daily Kos published a poll asking, “Who do you despise more George Bush or Osama Bin Laden?” It’s sad to see that Madia is “so excited” to live-blog on website that represents the fringe of the Democratic party.

Eh, Kos is a vile place, but the conversation was pretty tame. As much as anything, it looked like a captured conversation between Ashwin and his campaign manager. The only participants appeared to be someone named “populista” and “Ken in MN.”

Softball questions, vanilla answers… and a calorie free vanilla at that.

Sounds like his recent interview by an old college dorm friend at the Rake.

My take on Madia’s claim of being a social moderate can be found

Did the Marines pay for Madia’s law school?

Does Obama allowing himself to be interviewed by Fox News make him a Republican? He thanked Fox for having him. This post is a pretty weak attack.

It’s funny. Obama cowered from Fox News for the longest time. Afraid, as Democrats are, of being asked tough, legitimate questions. Chris Wallace did a nice job, as he always does, with the interview.

Obama must’ve finally figured out that if he’s going to run as a “unifier” then he’s got to stop listening to his whack-a-doodle base of hate-driven liberals, and reach out to the millions of moderates (and conservatives) who watch Fox News.

Fox News is a bit sensational, and it’s commentary is decidedly conservative. But it’s nothing the extremely biased station that CNN, et. al. are. Hell, even Fox News commentary shows have respectable liberal voices on them… MSNBC, CNN, NBC, etc. can’t say the same. Those stations are liberal propaganda all the time…. probably why so few watch them, comparatively speaking.

Building national support is a good thing, not a bad thing. You mean if Erik Paulsen were asked to liveblog on redstate.org he should turn it down? That’s a very partisan rightwing blog. Right? That doesn’t fit the district as moderate either.

Nice try, Michael. Doesn’t work, but credit is given for trying.

The most frightening thing about KOS kids and DUh underground is that they seem to think they’re mainstream, LOL.

The Marines Hymn: “From the Halls of Montezuma to the Shores of Tripoli.”

I’ve been in the “Halls of Montezuma” several times over the years but, the close that I ever got to Tripoli was probably the flap over the Q’ran that Representative Ellison Koran that President Jefferson had. [An interesting historical story.]

Wade, you could not be more right which is why liberalism should be banned from the US. :)

Liberals are a delusional bunch. ;)

MDE – Ultra-slandering, lying, American hating site. If anyone was going to be interviewed on here.

Sorry, DUh underground has claimed that title since it’s inception.

“DUh underground- Ultra-slandering, lying, American hating site”

    there fixed it..

  15. el presidente Says:

Take a look-see at Ashwin Madia and live blogging at KOS, through a local person who filmed, and who the GOP kicked out of a Convention:

    http://gavinsullivan.blogspot.com/

MBB was interviewed on video tape as wanting open conventions.

I know that Chestnut, Big Kahuna, Swiftee have had their disagreements with MBB on media access, however, try to avoid the slippery slope to becoming right wing thugs.

[MBB knows that in the end, civility is the better road to follow.]

  16. MDE Exposer Says:

Kind of like that hate site MDE, right, Mikey? The site where posts have been seen encouraging abortion clinic bombings. I mean, if we’re going to smear a blog on the basis of a single post or poll, fair is fair right?

  17. Chestnut Says:
    May 7th, 2008 at 5:08 AM

When has anyone on this site ever encouraged an abortion clinic bombing, or a bombing of any other variety?

MDE Exposer, the problem with you liberal idiots, is that you make everything up.

Chestnut, thank you for proving, once again, the hypocrisy of rightwingnuts!!!

  19. Wade Seeker Says:

Say Flounder what was your take on that drunkass Randi Rhodes encouraging people to assasinate Bush? Or is selective outrage one of your other hobbies?

  20. el presidente Says:

The radical left sometimes want to burn every thing down to the ground and start over.

The reactionary right sometimes want to tear every thing down past the foundation, and start over.

Sometimes the radical left and the reactionary right form partnerships against the middle.

    What are YOUR filters?

There may be many areas in your life, in which you have a MORE LIBERAL VIEW THAN I.

If you were a former hell-raiser as a youth, and you live in fear that your children will make the same mistakes that you made, your now conservative views may be very unrealistic for rearing your children in a modern age.

VP Dick Cheney was arrested a couple of times as a young adult for driving drunk.

Was he also doing some drinking before he [accidently] shot his friend in his face?

What kind of value is drinking around the time of hunting? Liberal? Conservative? Both? Neither? etc.?

  21. TwoPuttTommy Says:
    May 7th, 2008 at 10:29 AM

Shady Leeker, don’t know what you’re talkin’ ’bout.

Then again, you usually don’t know what you’re talkin’ ’bout, either.

  22. Wade Seeker Says:
    May 7th, 2008 at 11:28 AM

Either ignorance is bliss for Flounder or he’s too stupid to use google.

  23. Chestnut Says:
    May 7th, 2008 at 2:00 PM

I vote for “he’s too stupid”… Tommy is definitely too stupid.
