No wonder RT is always running around promoting bikes.
What a rube.
Minneapolis residnets, seriously, can’t we do any better than this clown?

I think the important question to ask here is: Who is Rybak’s accountant?
May 8th, 2008 at 9:40 PM
Who the hell pays “part of” their speeding ticket? It’s not like RT had to request an installment plan to cover the remaining $80. Are we about to be treated to the DFL chorus chiding us that speeding fines are far too confusing for anyone to be expected to understand? “Hey, he made a good faith effort to pay, so what’s the problem, bro?”
I do have to hand it to Socks however: who knew a Prius running on vegan juice could do more than 45 mph?

Or to put it in Frankenlogic:
“I realize you’ve sentenced me to 90 days, but I’ve decided to volunteer to serve 15 (yea for me!).”
“What do you mean, you have a problem with that? I like, totally, complied with the law – well, as much as was convenient for me at the time, and anyway… Halliburton!”

“I thought I had paid the whole amount,†he said. “As I recall, I looked at the sheet and thought my fine was $140. If I was reading that wrong and sending in the wrong amount, I will obviously send in the right amount.â€
“I’m in the public eye and rightfully have to be held to a very high standard,†he said.
Being able to read is now a “very high standard” to expect from the mayor of Minneapolis?

Average Joe: “I think the important question to ask here is: Who is Rybak’s accountant?”
Rybak’s accountant probably is not CAMPAIGN FINANCIAL SERVICES of Bethesda Maryland. They collected most of the money from the MN GOP $43,694 in four payments this year, however, it is still unclear how much the party spent on its special audit, or who was doing it.
If that is the IMPORTANT QUESTION TO ASK, where might be the IMPORTANT PLACE for Average Joe TO ASK IT, and TO WHOM should he address it, WHEN, etc.
It’s not that MBB can’t write “Great comment Average Joe. Nice Work!”
It’s just that it seems a little contrived.
May 9th, 2008 at 6:12 AM
what’s contrived is your attempt to equate Angry Al’s inability to pay taxes on time, pay workers comp on time and RUNNING from paying workers comp bills, to simple mistakes that happen every year to every political party. Not only contrived, but weak, very weak.
Now, back to R.T. Busted on TV he was actually going to get back in his car on TV and drive away. What a loser.

average joe,
I can separate the MBB’s KUDOS to your comment, and the tax problems and other problems that plague Franken and the MN GOP.
Raymond Thomas (R.T.) Rybak not paying the full amount of his speeding ticket, and your asking about whom was RT’s accountant, and now your including RT’s intention to “drive away” was not part of your original written statement that drew the kudo from MBB.
It may have been in your mind, and also in the mind of MBB [you two may THINK alike] but, it was not written.]
