MN GOP SPOKESMAN: “OBJECTIFYING WOMEN AND DEGRADING WOMEN HAS BEEN A CONSISTENT THEME OF AL FRANKEN’S HUMOR OVER THE YEARS”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | May 23, 2008

This is a brutal quote from MN GOP communications director Mark Drake about Al Franken:

“‘Objectifying women and degrading women has been a consistent theme of Al Franken’s humor over the years,’ said Mark Drake, spokesman for the Minnesota Republican Party.

‘He’s repeated it in his writings, his books, his comedy routines, so we think Minnesotans are going to reject Franken’s extreme positions on the issues, but also a man who degrades women and someone who’s made millions of dollars tearing people down in the name of comedy.’” Source: ABC News, May 23, 2008

How much did Norm pay you to come up with that quote, Mikey? When, oh when are you going to come clean on your source of income for this Coleman campaign blog?

    Norm Exposers – probably never

Michael, still waiting for a positive story about Norm.

wonder how many times Franken called his wife a cunt? ala John McCain?

Yoni (dumb bitch), NE (and dumber bitch), let’s stick to things that can be proven, and which probably happened. For example, Al Franken refused to pay Workers Comp for his employees, he did not pay income taxes owed in 17 states, he’s a liar, a hate monger, and a swindler of nearly a million dollars from a children’s charity.

Conversely, you’re telling lies about John McCain. And you’re speculating a lie about Michael.

  6. Chestnut Says:

If Michael was working for the Coleman campaign, he would disclose it. He always has.

  7. MichaelP Says:

Chestnut says “let’s stick to things that can be proven” , and then goes on to claim that Franken is “a swindler of nearly a million dollars from a children’s charity”. I’d imagine that since it “can be proven”, Franken must have been charged with a crime, or will soon be brought up on these charges, right? If not, why is the justice system not doing it’s job? It seems to me that since others have already been charged with this, and Franken WAS NOT CHARGED, he must be innocent. Also, it’s amazing to me that you have to call other posters names, rather than debating the issues. I’m surprised that MDE allows this on their site. Such language surely doesnt represent those on the right very well.

  8. Chestnut Says:
    May 24th, 2008 at 8:30 PM

    Michael,
Al Franken’s signature is on documents pertaining to the swindle of nearly a million dollars from the Gloria Wise Boy’s & Girls club. It’s just a fact, dip shit.

  9. MichaelP Says:
    May 25th, 2008 at 1:12 AM

Chestnut, Franken only signed one page of the Gloria Wise documents (and a fax marking from the lawyers office can clearly be seen on just that specific page in the documents. The documents state that Franken was not an investor in the company, and the only reason he had to sign anything was to let the company NOT pay him what he was owed. Again, these documents were written well after Cohen got the money from Gloria Wise, These documents don’t pertain to the “swindle” of the money (which Franken had nothing to do with). If you have any other “proof” to back up your claims, then produce it, otherwise quick making baseless assertions.

Are the six (6) Republican women (Hot Half-Dozen II), also going to write a lengthy letter about the Minnesota Fishing Opener Sex Comments (MFOSC)made by Governor Tim Pawlenty?

Is MN GOP Communications Director, Mark Drake, going to showcase the apparently non-objectifying, [apparently] non-degrading comments, of a(n) [apparently] non-consistent sexual humor theme, that Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty has made in a non-consistent manner over the years?

  11. Chestnut Says:
    May 25th, 2008 at 3:05 AM

If that works for your MichaelP, go with it, I guess.

  12. Swiftee Says:
    May 25th, 2008 at 10:42 AM

I’ve got to side with MichaelP here. Angry Al did not carry out the swindle personally; he has people for that sort of thing.

Al just pocketed the proceeds and denied knowing anything about it when his people got caught. The documents Al signed contained verbage and dates that proved he did in fact know he was banking cash filched from needy children, not that he stole it personally.

My wife and I asked Al about the money he knows was filched from a childrens charity at the fair last year, Al admits that he has not sent that money back and does not think he needs to (it’s his money now, and he’s keeping it!).

It’s the story of a pathological liar and greedy scumbag with no sense of honor.

  13. MichaelP Says:
    May 25th, 2008 at 12:49 PM

    Swiftee,
since Gloria Wise was fully repaid, why do you believe Franken has any personal responsibility to send any more money to them? He had nothing to do with obtaining the money. The people you call “his people” were in reality his employers. I don’t think employees are held responsible for the actions of their employers. Why do you believe that Franken has no sense of honor, again, the money was repaid. I believe you can find a quote of Franken saying that AirAmerica had a moral obligation to pay it back, and they did.

  14. Chestnut Says:
    May 25th, 2008 at 1:26 PM

“Why do you believe that Franken has no sense of honor”

… because he demonstrably does not.

    Ooh, can I play?

“When did you stop selling drugs to middle-school kids, Norm Exposer? When are you going to come clean?”

Tossing charges about is easy; if you can’t actually prove them, year in and year out, though, you might want to wait until you can.

I mean, sure – it’s easy to throw baseless charges around as you hide behind an anonymous handle, but really, there’s no there there!
