NEW YORK TIMES: “SENATE RACE IN MINNESOTA SHOWS POWER OF BLOGGERS”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | May 25, 2008

This is from an updated New York Times story about Minnesota blogs and the U.S. Senate race. I posted an excerpt from an earlier version the story on late Friday.

###

What Mr. Franken’s circumstance has proven, though, is that no Minnesota candidate this fall can afford to ignore Mr. Brodkorb, or the rest of the state’s universe of Web sites devoted to local politics. Experts here say the abundance of these blogs is a mirror onto this state, its partisan split in recent years and its long tradition of intense political activism (by some measures, voter turnout here was the highest in the nation in 2006). That said, they are anything but Minnesota Nice.” Source: New York Times, May 25, 2008

Norm Coleman is a NEW YORK native.

Michael Brodkorb has been in the NEW YORK Times and then keys in his name in RED LETTERS.

Al Franken is a NEW YORK native

MBB’s headline states: “Senate Race in Minnesota Shows the Power of Bloggers.”

WHAT ABOUT PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO DON’T HAVE A BLOG?

I have only one comment for all Republicans, and likewise all right-wingers, too: have you given up mating with animals?

The Hot Half-Dozen II will probably start a book club now that El Presidente has given them a name.

Despite their professed prudence, my guess if half of them have a wild side. One or two of them look like they should be enjoying sex for pleasure. Oh my!

If Representative Laura is in need, I volunteer:

EP, blogs are free on Blogger if you want one. But I’m willing to guess you’ll accept always being the first one to comment on every single MDE post. Isn’t that enough power for you?

And Andy, have you stopped beating your wife?

I have one question for Dems-”Have you given up appeasing terrorists?

It seems to be that Michael B. Brodkorb (MBB) is agreeing with the New York Times article that Minnesota Democrats Exposed (MDE)& MBB have power.

The power of what? Sex in that SEX usually SELLS.

MBB/MDE had a headline in UPPERCASE RED LETTERS something similar to BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND and then it had to do with some aspect of SEX.

    I don’t have a blog.

I don’t delete the posts [of others], I don’t determine the topic(s) for the day, and I don’t have the “editing power(s)” that persons who have a blog have.

Sucks that your parents did that, eh?

Don’t talk about your sister like that.

  9. el presidente Says:

National Geographic Magazine, October 2007, has a readable article about “zoonosis.”

The article reads “Zoonotic pathogens can hide.”

  10. John F Not Kerry Says:
    May 25th, 2008 at 11:46 PM

    “I don’t have a blog.”

Then complaining about others who have them and manage them as they see fit is just impotent whining, since Blogger hands them out for free. But you would have nothing if it wasn’t for your habit of whining.

Just as I had to tell some of my more whiny past employees, if you’re so much smarter than me, start your own.
El Pres , if your so much better and well informed you can always start you own blog.

But then again, you’ll end up like Flounder, mouthing off on other sites trying to get recognition for your ill informed opinion.

  12. el presidente Says:
    May 26th, 2008 at 1:15 PM

Wade Seeker, – The article seemed to be about people who have their own blog, however, the article didn’t seem to mention people who do post but, do not have a blog of their own.

There could be a symbiotic-type of relationship between the person who has the blog of his/her own and the non-owner posting on that blog.

John F Not Kerry, – I stated [in uppercase letters] What about people like me who don’t have a blog? I did NOT state: I don’t have a blog.

I have a general idea how Word Press, Blogger, etc. works. Perhaps at sometime in the future I’ll have a blog of my own. However, currently I’m fairly pleased reading and exploring [mostly] local blogs and there respective posts.
