I attended the MN GOP convention as an alternate. I was embarrassed for and ashamed of the actions of Ron Carey and everyone else who participated in the manipulated National Delegate nominating process. The first thing greeting everyone who entered the convention floor were 2-10×20 (or larger) red banners flanking the stage with the names of 14 “Carey approved” national delegates and alternates. Then during the convention, red hatted McCain goons with earphones walked the aisles and balconies holding up either red signs with NO or green signs with YES printed on them to tell everyone how they should vote each time a vote came up. During the convention, the red hatted McCain goons were constantly conferring with Ron Carey. During the nominating vote, one of the McCain goons went to the mike and made a “point of information” and announced that “the McCain endorsed national delegates” were listed on the red banners. The supposed “party of freedom” demonstrated all the attributes of a party of manipulation and coercion.

There were numerous proposed changes to the MN GOP constitution, all designed to
more tightly centralize and expand the powers and control of the GOP state central committee and quash any possibility of any upstart “grassroots” movement not in conformance with central committee mandates. You know, that messy “we the people” stuff.

At the end of the convention, the MN GOP proved just how out of touch with reality it is by inviting the neo-con hero Karl Rove, who Ron Carey called a “rock star” to be the featured speaker. I thought the appropriate description for someone who discloses the name of a CIA agent is traitor.

Is this all we have?

I am going to hold my nose and probably vote for both of them. But, good Lord, I wish we had better CONSERVATIVE choices.

Harold Shudlick was denied the chance to run for the endorsement or to even be nominated from the floor. We had no chance to vote nay, because propaganda ministers on stage turned on video.

Coleman speech was not well received and we yelled out ANWR and End Enthanol.

The Republican party of MN has it head way up its you know what. We don’t believe the lip service anymore.

However, I do know that ignoring the truth is downright stupid.

By the way… Coleman’s got support of over 35 percent of “Independents” … 95 percent of Republicans… and 35 percent of Democrats….

Coleman has broad-based support… He should feel pretty good.

No chance for dissent on Norm; no chance for a good look at the books.
