“Franken campaign spokesman Andy Barr says that the candidate will continue to seek Oberstar’s guidance during the race.”

Thanks for keeping this important topic going Michael. The libs continue to squirm. I guess they don’t understand Al’s hate, I mean satire.

Jim Oberstar has been labeled the Dean of the Congressional Delegation. I have heard him speak English and I also have heard him speak French.

If and when Jesse Ventura gets into this race, and the talk gravitates to SEX, how IMPORTANT will the Republicans then think that this topic will be.

Will Cash N. Carey write “Thanks for keeping this important topic going Michael.”

People are not all that thrilled with Norm; neither are they all that thrilled with Al.

However BOTH of them have had significant beginning money, and people are having some second thoughts about BOTH of them.

Karl Rove was on the radio trying to push the “Angry Al” senario. I don’t think that is what most Minnesotans are concerned about.

Is Oberstar running for Senate? No? How about Betty McCollum. She certainly must be. Tim Walz? Keith Ellison?

What’s that you say, they aren’t?

Then why the hell are they wasting time talking about another candidate’s race. It must be because they are so bored running against token republican opposition.

The momentum building against Franken is bothering you that much Tommy?

  6. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    June 4th, 2008 at 8:09 PM

The fact that a free-falling candidate like Norm Coleman thinks his dirt merchant(Michael) has earned him some traction is what if bothering me.

And for the record, I am as much Tommy as you are Michael/Swiftee/Cash/Wade.

  7. Chestnut Says:
    June 4th, 2008 at 8:16 PM

    Hey Tommy/Leroy,
Why are so many democrats lining up against Franken? There sure is a lot of momentum building against that corrupt, hate-monger, fascist.. that’s gotta really bother you.

By the way, what sort of books did your fascist mother read you to turn you into such an asshole?

  8. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    June 4th, 2008 at 8:29 PM

    Chestnut (Michael/Swiftee/Cash/Wade)-

The funny thing is the giddiness you all feel when you think you have Al on the ropes. Have you seen the polls? He is in a dead heat with your worthless incumbent. If you think he is not going to get endorsed this weekend, you are obviously badly brain bruised.

  9. Chestnut Says:
    June 4th, 2008 at 8:34 PM

I am pretty convinced that Al Franken will get endorsed this weekend. I just think it’s remarkable that when they had solid candidates with strong records of accomplishment and contribution to the state, they’ll pick the self-serving, carpetbagging crook instead.

But then again “self serving” and “crook” are leading qualifiers for any Democrat. And Franken’s lack of a resume makes him a good complement to the phony, vacuous, unaccomplished Democrat who just won the nomination for president.

  10. Justin Ohana Says:

It’s amazing how uptight the rightwingers are about any discussion that is at all sexual. On the other hand they have no problem calling other people who comment here any number of foul names. What kind of a blog is it that allows people to continually refer to others as *uckwads and asholes?

I’d much rather cast a vote for a person that wrote an article (for an adult magazine)detailing some sort of futuristic sexual fantasy, rather than an airport bathroom toe tapper or a diaper wearing john.

This article has nothing to do with how Al Franken will operate in the US Senate. Why doesn’t the Coleman campaign want to discuss real issues?

  11. Chestnut Says:
    June 4th, 2008 at 8:52 PM

    Hey Justin,
It’s amazing how comfortable Democrats are imagining their children researching bestiality. I hope you don’t own a dog.

  12. Bob Williams Says:
    June 4th, 2008 at 9:03 PM

    “I hope you don’t own a dog.”

    Har!

That Oberstar. What an uptight, right-wing prude.

  13. Ranger Rick Says:
    June 4th, 2008 at 9:43 PM

Fuck Oberstar. He should disown some of his votes.

  14. el presidente Says:

    Yet another Digital Camera Moment

Perhaps this one should be sent to Animal Shelter in the 8th Congressional District.

[With mostly kind complimentary thoughts about other types of possible shelters.]

  15. ansel Says:
    June 4th, 2008 at 10:34 PM

al franken is to the dfl what mccain is to the gop—a nominee they wished would probably go away.

norm coleman can only hope franken gets endorsed and wins the dfl primary. although i like coleman, i am not sure he could win a second term other than for a tainted candidate and franken certainly fits that bill.

the other negative yet to be seen about franken is the times i heard him on radio, he really was not very nimble when there was a caller disagreeing with him; thus, i would anticipate coleman will probably score mega points in any debates.

  16. Just Sayin' Says:
    June 4th, 2008 at 10:47 PM

    Ansel,
The thing with Franken in debates is every conversation is a fillibuster filled with Al’s thoughtless droning. That’s what the whole Bill O’Reilly incident was about.

  17. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    June 4th, 2008 at 10:59 PM

And the thing with Norm is, you ask him about ANY issue, and he stares at you like a deer in the headlights. If he does speak, it is usually some unrelated circular statement that doesn’t say anything.

Norm Coleman is the Paris Hilton of this election. Stupid, unaccomplished, and hoping to get through life on his connections and gap-free teeth.

  18. The Truth Says:

Apparently chest-nuts went to the Dick Cheney neo-con school of manners. All foul language, abuse, and nothing of substance. Every post is like a pile of puke or dog crap on the sidewalk.

  19. Chestnut Says:
    June 5th, 2008 at 8:13 AM

Hey TT, why don’t you wait until I’ve made those sorts of comments in a post to offer your valuable insight. Or is that the best your empty head has to offer?

  20. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    June 5th, 2008 at 9:53 AM

    Hey Chestnut…

There are plenty examples on this site of you losing the high ground in your argument, and then resorting to profanity and threats of violence.

    Its the republican way.
