MN GOP PRESS EVENT ON FRANKEN’S “COMEDY IDEA THAT INVOLVES INJURY TO WOMEN”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | June 5, 2008

I’m at the Republican Party of Minnesota’s (MN GOP) press event about Al Franken’s “comedy idea that involves injury to women.” Former State Auditor Pat Anderson, Representative Laura Brod and other female legislative candidates are getting ready to speak. I have been given a press release yet, so I don’t know what the event is specifically about.

Please check back to Minnesota Democrats Exposed for updates.

UPDATE: The headline from the MN GOP’s press release: “AL FRANKEN RAPE JOKE: SICK, SICK, SICK”

UPDATE #2: Franken joked about drugging and raping a woman.

UPDATE #3: This is from the MN GOP’s release “Franken: And ‘I give the pills to Lesley Stahl. Then, when Lesley’s passed out, I take her to the closet and rape her.’ Or ‘ That’s why you never see Lesley until February.’ Or ‘When she passes out, I put her in various positions and take pictures of her.’

Yeah. We get it. Republican women don’t like Al Franken.

When you have to go unearth Pat Awada, that is a sign that you are running out of people who have yet to say the exact same thing.

“We are republican women, and we don’t like Al Franken.”

Oh, and for the record, I am willing to stipulate that not a lot of republican males probably like Al Franken either.

I guess he will have to settle for winning the election with all the democrats and independents, and let Norm keep the 13 percent of Minnesota who currently identify themselves as republicans.

But it’s all a “joke”, dontcha know. He’s just joking about raping Leslie Stahl. What don’t you repressed Republicans understand about drugging and raping a woman being a joke?

Try this form of “satire” on bombing at an airport and see if they laugh.

Can’t the MNGOP buy you a scanner Michael?

Leroy, face it your candidate Angry Al is a “Big, Fat Idiot” Sorry had to borrow from one of Angry Al’s highly enlightened book titles. Guess I’m just to dumb to get satire.

Hahahahaha!!!!! Drugging and raping women is so funny… Have ya heard the one about….

I’ve got news for you Independents don’t think it’s funny either.

You know something, Leroy, you are starting to come across as a real choad. The fact that you keep defending a guy who thinks talking about raping a woman is satire shows that you are just as sick-minded as this guy. You have DFLers who have denounced Franken’s writing, yet you still scratch and claw at finding ways to make Republican’s look like we’re desparate.

I consider my humor to be very dark (which my improv classmates would agree with), but even I think this is over the line. It’s not satire; it’s purely shock value, and a person who thinks like this, Republican or Democrat, has no business representing this state.

It scares me to death that there are DFLers like yourself out there who think this form of humor is okay. My advice to you: Grow up.

On the up dside, Al Franken received the endorsement of 2 Live Crew.

It sounds as if perhaps Al Franken should switch political parties.

He & Bo Derek [The movie "10."] would then belong to the same National REPUBLICAN Party.

Bo was on the beach [en la playa] I think called “la audiencia” on the west coast of Mexico.

Guadalajara is about four hours away by van.

Anyway, the music “Bolero” by Maurice Ravel [1928], was playing in the movie while Dudley Moore and [REPUBLICAN] Bo Derek were ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS in the movie.

Al Franken would fit right in with many aspects of the REPUBLICAN HOLLYWOOD CROWD.

    June 5th, 2008 at 12:24 PM

Oh, Snap! You got us there, el president. You and Leroy should consider having dinner together sometime.

  11. ManGenius Says:
    June 5th, 2008 at 12:44 PM

What am I missing? Is Bo running for Senate too? I didn’t even know she moved to Minnesota.

You guys gotta tell me these things.

  12. el presidente Says:
    June 5th, 2008 at 1:42 PM

    TRUM,

Perhaps Leroy and I have previously met.

  13. TRUM Says:
    June 5th, 2008 at 2:41 PM

Then you’ll have a lot to talk about.

  14. el presidente Says:
    June 6th, 2008 at 9:16 PM

    Perhaps.
