MUST READ FROM CHECKS & BALANCES: “WALZ PLAYING AN ACTIVE ROLE IN CIRESI RECRUITMENT”
By Michael B. Brodkorb | June 6, 2008
“We found it interesting in review of U.S. Senate candidate Al Franken’s (D) website that not one federal elected official has endorsed him in his endorsement quest, this may be the reason Congressman Tim Walz (D-MN1) is quietly communicating a serious message to people he speaks to in advance of the DFL State Convention; if Franken is the DFL Party’s nominee his (Walz) bid for reelection is in doubt. As a first-term member of Congress and host of this weekend’s convention Walz is a worthwhile person to listen to closely.” Source: Checks & Balances (free subscription required) June 6, 2008

“…if Franken is the DFL Party’s nominee his (Walz) bid for reelection is in doubt.”
And you fell for that??!?

Dolt #1 to the rescue! When Al seems to be on the ropes, his favorite cabin boy, dolt #1 always appears to help Al “man up”.
June 6th, 2008 at 1:45 PM
If it turns out that Walz is right, and the Al Franken campaign takes his down the tubes along with his own, will you make appearances in your k-mart Army man uniform and e-bay battle ribbons, Dolt #1?
I’d get to polishing that brass if I were you, boy.

Swiftee-
If you ever wonder why no one on this site ever takes you seriously, feel free to re-read your last post.

Maybe Flounder and Leroy can appear together as “Dumb and Dumber” – The Sequel
June 6th, 2008 at 2:23 PM
Well, well, well. Scrotee, from the party of “Family Values”, proving once again why the GOP is the Small Tent Party.
You’re in denial, boy.
Davis has no dough, and any he gets will be spent on the primary with Day.
Every credible source is calling this one for Walz; the Cook Political Report is now calling MN-01 “Likely Democratic”. This means, and I quote: “These seats are not considered competitive at this point but does have the potential to become engaged.”
Walz is in no trouble, no matter who is endorsed.
June 6th, 2008 at 2:53 PM
Given his obsession with scrotii and male anatomy in general, we have to wonder if, when dolt #1 says “Every credible source is calling this one for Walz”, he means everyone in the bathhouse.
With that kind of support, and with Angry Al Franken on the horizon, I’d be very concerned if I were Walz.
June 6th, 2008 at 3:01 PM
Leroy, I suppose you think people take your posts seriously? Angry Al is going down (hmmm, bath house humor?) and thats all there is to it. Ciresi is already a proven loser so we don’t need to worry about him if he gets the endorsement. Might as well save the taxpayers some money and just leave Norm in the job for another 6 years.
June 6th, 2008 at 3:11 PM
Leaving Norm in office another six years will cost us a tad over $1 million in salary for the term, as well as setting the state back another six years, when we are forced to be the state with only Amy Klobuchar representing us in the Senate.
And really pulling Norm now helps him save face. How confused will Minnesotans be when Norm starts voting with Obama on everything because he lacks the analytical skills to make up his own mind?
June 6th, 2008 at 3:26 PM
Leroy, you’re hilarious. Can your book of fairy tales be found at Barnes and Noble or at Border’s? I think I want a copy for my kids.
June 6th, 2008 at 3:31 PM
I’m tired of Amy Klobuchar not representing the state of Minnesota. Since she took office in 2006, she hasn’t done a goddam thing for this state. The only thing she’s ever done is collect a government salary. That lazy, stupid Amy Klobuchar only votes the way Harry Reid tells her to. She doesn’t have the analytical skills to make up her own mind. And what really galls me is that she stood by watching forced abortions in a U.S. territory.
That Amy Klobuchar needs to go!…
Does that summarize the bullshit Leroy and Tommy repeat over and over again as if someday it will be true?
June 6th, 2008 at 4:29 PM
[...] Publius is reporting that Congressman Walz’s campaign is denying reports that Walz is “playing an active role in Ciresi recruitment.” Checks & Balanaces is standing by their [...]

Jack Abramoff is NOT a fictional character, Chestnut.
And the Subcommittee Coleman chaired did NOT investigate Abramoff or anything related to Abramoff.
Maybe you think that the forced prostitution and forced abortions Coleman ignored won’t matter to Minnesota’s voters – but elections in other states indicate differently.
Good luck.
June 6th, 2008 at 4:45 PM
Chestnut,
Because of Ciresi’s settlement with Big Tobacco the State of Minnesota gets $200 million dollars EVERY YEAR.
Plus the original settlement amount was about $6 billion dollars.
$6,000,000,000.00 = six billion
..$200,000,000.00 = two hundred million [MN]
….$1,000,000.00 = one million
[Chestnut please read your last sentence, then read my last sentence.]
Summarize the figures and repeat over and over again as they are true.
June 6th, 2008 at 5:18 PM
Dolt #1 assured us: “Jack Abramoff is NOT a fictional character, Chestnut.”
If we didn’t already know that Jack Abramoff was indeed a real person, we’d have reason to doubt that statement because Dolt #1 has assured us that he is a real combat disabled veteran too, which has been proven to be a lie.
June 6th, 2008 at 6:35 PM
Keep track of the number of times that you’ve used the exact word or words or similar to: “disabled veteran.”
Then spend about one half-hour of time with a “disabled veteran” for each time that you write it.
June 6th, 2008 at 8:39 PM
Because of Ciresi`s settlement “200 million a year from Big Tabacco. ” Yah, but because of Ciresi`s Democratic party a 6.6 billion dollar tax increase. That 200 million isn`t even pocket change.
June 6th, 2008 at 9:00 PM
“Jack Abramoff is NOT a fictional character…”
Who said he was? Neither is Tony Rezko. And you’re mistaken if you think that Democrats aren’t in deep with Abramaoff… which, in reality, is an old, old, old story now.
Not sure what the Mariana Islands issue is all about… but Bill Clinton, I hear, went there for short vacations… whatever happened there, became big business under him and Democrat leadership. Conversely, the issue had the lid blown off while Coleman was in the Senate for just three years.
If you think you’ve got the mustard to explain what ever it is you think needs explaining about the issue, more luck to you. But my guess is by the time you’re finished, and folks realize that you’re the warped idiot foaming at the mouth about it, they’re not going to care… much less draw the connections you’ve drawn to Coleman.
You’re a fucking joke Tommy. You make us laugh. You and Leroy should publish a fairy tale book together. Pathetic losers.
June 6th, 2008 at 9:14 PM
Chestnut is NOT SURE what the Northern Mariana Islands issue is about, and jimf gets CONFUSED on a Big Tobacco settlement of about $6 billion dollars plus about $200 million dollars PER YEAR for the State of MINNESOTA.
I think that it is called giving another Minnesotan A DIFFICULT TIME.
And it happens almost continually and probably intentionally, however, yet when school children, or the elderly, or the disenfranchised are in need, then it seems to be a much different story.

EP, government has never shown any sustained success in meeting the needs of anyone, other than those in government, and those who receive the money from their pork-barrel spending.

We’ve been in the atomic age for over 60 years.
HI and AK became states, and “under God” was added to the Pledge of Allegiance, the Commonwealth of the Philippines became an independent country after receiving it’s independence from the United States [from the Spanish-American War) during the lifetimes of many who are alive today.
Yet many people do not know much about the relationships of the United States and its Insular Areas.
It is time that Americans learn that they still have colony-type enterprises, and that they [Laura Brod, Norm Coleman, etc.] should face that.

“if Franken is the DFL Party’s nominee his (Walz) bid for reelection is in doubt.”
EY: I have a hard time believing that Tim Walz would be saying that. I did ask his campaign people at the convention whether this was true, and they said no – but also urged me to directly contact the campaign manager. I was unable to talk to Walz directly. The Republicans have a primary campaign in this race, and neither has raised much money, and unlike Gutnecht, Walz maintains a heavy presence in his district.
