Michael –

I know what the vote was, but did you get a sense from the room on how the JNP supporters embraced Franken? Was it pretty bitter as people were leaving or do you think they will come together?

I’m still curious from the CD3 convention, with the razor-thin margin and a vote that could really have gone either way, what the state of mind of Bonoff supporters is after a few weeks.

I wondered if the third congressional district had an influence here. Those Bonoff supporters kept stubbornly casting their ballots for Bonoff. They might have thought that there was a group just over 40% that subbornly wouldn’t vote for Franken causing no endorsement to encourage an open primary and a fresh candidate.

Unfortunately, it was an easy prediction to make. The kind of people who get elected as DFL delegates aren’t your average Minnesotan. These people have no moral compass, they see absolutely nothing wrong with abnormal sexuality, they see nothing wrong with using or abusing the system for ones own good, and they see nothing wrong with endorsing candidates who joke about drugging and raping women when this candidate will vote their way. Character don’t matter, only how they’ll vote. Character doesn’t matter, only that they have the name recognition to win.

It’s sad but todays DFL is not your grandfathers party. It’s a group of groups of malcontents who hate America, hate those who love America, and will elect the most evil person available if they promise to vote for their radical agenda.

I can’t understand how even the libs could be that stupid. Not paying his taxes, making jokes about rape, …. Al isn’t a strong candidate. I can’t wait to hear the real dirt on him. Hopefully, the best was saved for after his nomination.
