TEAM FRANKEN DOESN’T DENY THAT FRANKEN CALLED RURAL HOSPITAL “SMALL-BORE STUFF”
By Michael B. Brodkorb | June 13, 2008
Team Franken has responded to the radio ad released by U.S. Senator Norm Coleman’s campaign. Representatives of Team Franken didn’t deny the claims made in Coleman’s release that Franken labeled Coleman’s record for northern Minnesota, including helping secure a hospital for Cass County, “small-bore stuff…”
“On the issue of health care Norm Coleman has let all Minnesotans down – and that’s why he’s now attacking Al Franken instead of discussing his own record.” Source: Statement from Team Franken on Coleman radio ad, Pioneer Press’ Political Animal, June 13, 2008

Huh? Excuse me? Andy, we are debating Senator Coleman’s record. That is how this situation got started: According to a press release from Coleman’s campaign, Al Franken was commenting about Senator Coleman’s record for northern Minnesota, when Franken said it was all “small-bore stuff…”
It’s fair game for Coleman’s campaign to respond to Franken’s out of touch and “elitist” comment. This is the second “swing and a miss” from Team Franken in a week.

Why should Franken deny calling Coleman small bore, especially when it is true, and now Norm is spending his own money to promote the fact?

Ah, but he did explain and provide context to the comment which you conveniently left out. Or is that the lying by omission? “He’s taken hundreds of thousands from the big drug and insurance companies and stood in the way of providing universal health care for every Minnesotan. What Al said in Bemidji is that there’s so much more that a Senator SHOULD be doing, like ending the war in Iraq so we can afford to build more critical access hospitals and providing universal health care to every Minnesotan. Norm Coleman hasn’t done these things. Al will. Al’s first priority will be helping the people of Minnesota, not the special interests, and that will make a difference not only for rural Minnesota but for everyone.”

Andy: Don’t refer to me as a liar. I provided two links to Barr’s complete statement.

Leroy up first again….as said before, Denial is not just a river in Eygpt, it exists in the Franken Campaign. Rural votes don’t take well to carpetbaggers, especially ones who don’t get it. Good Luck Frankenberry, the DFL has given the GOP a gift in the form of the one-man gaffe-a-thon

So what have you GHOSTS thought of the BIG BORE during about the past 5.5 years?

So what have you GHOSTS thought of the BIG BORE during about the past 5.5 years if I ask during the daylight hours?

Well, I suppose it is small-bore stuff compared to the socialist nuke Democrats want to drop on the healthcare system.
I mean, compared to destroying the healthcare system and the American way of life, bringing much needed funding to rural clinics is small potatoes.
