COLEMAN HAS 12 POINT LEAD OVER FRANKEN IN NEW KSTP/SURVEY USA POLL; CIRESI TRAILS COLEMAN BY 10 POINTS

By Michael B. Brodkorb | June 16, 2008

I was just about to publish a new post about a post-endorsement poll bounce for Al Franken, when news broke that a new KSTP/Survey USA poll had been released.

According to the poll released tonight, Senator Coleman is leading Al Franken 52% – 40%. In an embarrassing bit of news for Team Franken, Mike Ciresi trails Coleman by ten points 50% – 40%.

Coleman is leading both Franken and Ciresi by double-digits in a three-way race with former Governor Jesse Ventura or former U.S. Senator Dean Barkely. I’ll have more on this new poll later tonight on Minnesota Democrats Exposed.

Can Mike please get back in the race. Franken does not deserve Coleman’s Senate seat. Franken wants to be a Senator, Mike wants to get things done.

    Al Franken: F’d candidate.

Al Franken: A joke who is not funny for those who actually care about this state.

Be careful Patrick. With talk like that, the fascist bastard, Leroy Jenkins is going to come looking for you, and you will be sorry for deviating from “the party line.”

Perhaps Coleman should consider LEAVING the race; he’s not Swiftee’s hero.

Where’s Leroy and Founder? I thought they would both be trying to spin this as a Franken victory.

i never understood why ceresi left the race??? is it possible he was that far behind franken? if ceresi was that willing to give up months ago i am not sure why dfl-ers think he would be up to the task now.

the coleman-franken race just shows how a couple of weeks can totally turn a race upside down. virtually no one, includng myself, thought coleman would have an easy time of defeating franken. now i believe it is coleman’s race to lose. i might add intrade betting site also agrees with me.

Say, Rash Dipstick – about that poll? It is what it is. And if you were smart enough to figure out what the numbers meant, you’d realize Norm still has some serious work to do.

Although I’d probably still put more stock in the Rasmassen poll that only had Coleman up by 3. Remember, KSTP also Kennedy and Klobuchar running relatively close in 2006. Even the Strib usually polls more accurately than KSTP (and that’s saying something). Is Coleman winning? Probably. But not by 12 percentage points.

  10. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    June 16th, 2008 at 11:44 PM

KSTP polls are tilted as far right as Rob Daves used to tilt Star Tribune polls left.

Show me two other polls with similar numbers, and I will believe.

Until then, I will assume the race is somewhere between this and the Rasmussen tie.

Coleman wouldn’t have to lose; he could just leave.

[Ventura, the Navy Frogman, would sharply contrast against Coleman, the Chicken-hawk.]

  12. Jack Shepard 4 Senate Says:
    June 17th, 2008 at 6:39 AM

el presidente in your post #11 when you say, “Coleman wouldn’t have to lose, he could just leave” that is my, Jack Shepard’s battle plan is to eliminate Sen. Norm Coleman when I, Jack Shepard run against as you say Norm “Chicken-Hawk” Coleman on Sept. 9, 2008 in the GOP U.S. Senate Primary!

I proudly volunteered for the Vietnam War and jioned the USAF Reserves at the university of Minnesota to serve my country at the height of the Vietnam War and upon my graduation from the University of Minnesota in 1970; I proudly went on Active Duty with the rank of Captain.

We all know Norm Coleman refused to serve his country in 1971 and what his was doing as an anti-government radical at his University while over 58,000 brave American Soldiers were killed in the Vietnam War.

I give the Minnesota Voters a chance to by voting for Jack Shepard in the GOP Primary ,to eliminate Senator Norm Coleman so his name Norm Coleman will not even be on the Nov. Minnesota General Election Ballot.

Then without Norm Coleman’s name on the Ballot; the Minnesota Voters in Nov. can choose between Al Franken or Jesse Ventura without the real worry that they would spliting the liberal vote which would automatically get Sen. Norm Coleman re-elcted for another 6 years.

If you are one of the over 50% of the Minnesota Voters who disapprove of Senator Norm Coleman’s voting record in his first term in the U.S. Senate then by voting for me, Jack Shepard when I run agianst Norm Coleman in the Sept. 9, Minnesota GOP U.S. Seante primary you can really eliminate Norm Coleman from the Minnesota U.S. Seante Race on Sept. 9, 2008.

So without Norm Coleman in the Race who cares what the polls show his name, Norm Coleman will not be on the Minnesota General election Ballot for the U.S. Senate, if Jack Shepard beats Norm Coleman in the GOP Primary by a massive crossover!

So Mr.el presidente if you feel so strongly of having Norm coleman just go away start spreading the word to like minded people that even if Norm Coleman has $7,000,000 to use as character assassination on Al Franken and Jesse Ventura if you vote against the re-election of Norm Coleman by voting in the GOP U.S. Seante Primary on Sept. 9, 2008 by VOTING FOR JACK SHEPARD about the weakess almost unelectable candidate in the Genral Election for the office of U.S. Senator you will have reached your goal of removing Norm Coleman from the U.S Senate Race and have Sen. Norm Coleman just go away. visit my web site http://www.jackshepardforsenate.com

HOW TO ELIMINATE Norm Coleman from the Minnesota U.S. Seante Race by a massive crossover vote of all Anti-War, all Anti-Norm, all Democrats and all Independent Minnesota Voters TO VOTE FOR JACK SHEPARD IN THE GOP U.S. SENATE PRIMARY JUST TO REMOVE NORM COLEMAN FROM THE MINNESOTA U.S. SENATE RACE AND LIKE YOU SAID SO HE JUST GOES AWAY!

WE ALL DO NOT wish Al Franken and Jesse Ventura to split the liberal Vote and have Norm Coleman get re-elected!

WITH NORM COLEMAN RE-ELECTED WE WILL GET 6 MORE YEARS OF THE IRAQI CIVIL WAR WHICH NORM COLEMAN CONTINUES TO VOTE 100% FOR; KNOWING THAT THE MAJORITY OFTHE MINNESOTA PEOPLE AS VERY STRONGLY AGAINST THE CONTINUATION OF THE IRAQI WAR.

IF YOU WISH NORM COLEMAN TO REALY GO AWAY, GET THE WORD OUT AND SPREAD IT EVERY WHERE FOR A MASSIVE CROSSOVER VOTE FOR JACK SHEPARD WHO IS RUNNING AGAINST NORM COLEMAN IN THE GOP U.S. SENATE PRIMARY ON SEPT. 9, 2008.

IF ENOUGH ANTI-NORM PEOPLE CROSSOVER AND VOTE FOR JACK SHEPARD AND IF JACK SHEPARD BEATS NORM COLEMAN IN THE GOP PRIMARY THEN NORM COLEMAN WILL BE OUT OF THE RACE AND AS YOU SAY el presidente THEN YOUR WISH WILL COME TRUE NORM WILL JUST GO AWAY AND BE REMOVED FROM THE U.S. SENATE SO HE CAN NEVER AGAIN VOTE TO CONTINUE THE IRAQI WAR.

  13. el presidente Says:
    June 17th, 2008 at 7:50 AM

Coleman could also just LEAVE the race.

  14. Chestnut Says:
    June 17th, 2008 at 8:26 AM

The sad thing is if you read Jack Shepherd’s web site, he probably believes that delusional shit. That retarded jackass makes Leroy Jenkins seem sensible.

  15. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    June 17th, 2008 at 9:02 AM

    I agree.
