And lets not forget folks the self admitted criminal is one of Obama's top foreign policy advisers. So Obama besides listening to racist preachers gets advice from war criminals for his foreign policy.

Doesn't a single Democrat have a problem with that?

Yoni:

In post #50 you said you supported John Kerry because he was a great person and implied Norm Coleman was bad.

SINCE IT IS A FACT THAT JOHN KERRY IS A SELF ADMITTED WAR CRIMINAL YOU EITHER THINK SUPPORTING A WAR CRIMINAL IS GOOD OR YOU SHOULD LIKE NORM COLEMAN BETTER SINCE NORM ISN'T A SELF ADMITTED WAR CRIMINAL.

 Your choice Yoni.

I was the Executive Director for the RNC in MN in 2004 and was at this event.

In the days leading up to this event I did eject Pomeroy's kids from line when they tried to get tickets. Don't recall if I was at the table when Walz showed up but if I was I would have kicked him out too.

In 2004 we did 9 rallies with President Bush and had to deal with militant protestors inside the event trying to disrupt things EVERY single time.

I support the 1st Amendment and anyone's right to protest 100%. At every single event we had protestors who were given every opportunity outside to speak their mind and talk to the press.

What I despise and can not stand is people trying to sneak in and crash a political event. Be opposed, protest all you want, have a different opinion but show some respect to the highest office in the land and the person who holds it.

Unless Walz had some serious work done, that ain't him! What's exactly the point of this post anyway?

This guy's sign is pretty bland, maybe if it said "F*&k Bush" or something you would have a story.

Is it the footwear? That I can understand, because any guy who wears those damn thong things deserves to be made fun of.

I think that is an honorable pledge MDE and I look forward to you sticking to that ideal especially as the political season heats up.

"Probably not. If it is Walz, all it does is show that he’s a typical, dishonest, opportunistic dick of a Democrat"

So if somebody opposes the war, makes a sign and exercises their constitutional right to freedom of speech, they are a 'dishonest, opportunistic dick'?

I don't think that Michele Bachmann served in the U.S. Military.

Perhaps if I become a tad unhinged you could send her your life savings, stocks & bonds, insurance policies, etc.

"So what if it is Tim Walz. Is this going to damage his chances against Davis or Day?"

Probably not. If it is Walz, all it does is show that he's a typical, dishonest, opportunistic dick of a Democrat.

"I would go after his voting record (which is almost in lock-step with Pelosi’s) instead of relying on some iffy photo from 2004 to sway the 53% of the people who voted for him. Go Davis!"

Indeed.

I am waiting for the rest of the photo to be "revealed" with someone kicking a puppy or giving grandma the finger.

I love when Michael does these--seriously, whether you love or hate Walz (and I can admit that I love Walz), you don't know whether you should, or should not, think this is a picture of the Congressman (I don't thinkit is--I agree, Walz is heavier, and does have that doble chin).

This is good, I can't wait to read the follow-up.

Good puzzle to solve today Michael, I like it.

"[Kerry] would still be more heroic than Norm Coleman during the same time period."

During the time period Kerry was in Vietnam, Norm Coleman was in high school.

At the time Norm Coleman appeared in front of the draft board, John Kerry was committing near acts of treason and telling massive lies about Vietnam vets.

Whether or not Kerry and Coleman appeared at the same protests, Norm Coleman never told horrendous lies about Vietnam Vets to the Senate committee and the world. And Norm Coleman never attended a meeting where plots to assassinate U.S. Senators were being hatched.

John Kerry did.

And that God that gold digging piece of shit isn't our President.

BTW — the 1978 discharge date coincides with Carter’s blanket pardon for draft dodgers, deserters and other dishonorable individuals…

I am praising John Kerry as a soldier who fought in Vietnam and received Purple Hearts. In my opinion he could have stubbed his toe and received a Purple Heart, and that would still be more heroic than Norm Coleman during the same time period.

I wonder if Kerry and Coleman were at the same anti-war protests? I don't think Coleman ever had an opportunity to speak in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee either. I heard they invited him but he was too stoned and forgot the set his alarm.

I just took a different tack against Yoni. Kerry may have earned purple hearts, but not in 1971 at the time Norm failed the draft board.

In 1971, Kerry was engaged in far more sever and deceitful acts...

I know Walter, I understand the issues. However, questioning whether Kerry was sufficiently wounded once raises more questions about the accuser than it does about Kerry. He was wounded three times to some degree. Even if one was a fraud, the other two probably weren't...

Bottom line is the issue created a major distraction and worked only to discredit the very legitimate case against Kerry...

Chestnut:

Keep in mind I mentioned the purple hearts because Yoni was trying to show how much better John Kerry was than Norm Coleman was because Kerry got purple hearts (see her post #36)

Furthermore if you had read Unfit for Command one of the reasons why the Swift Boat Veterans raised the issue was that Kerry used getting three purple hearts as his excuse to get out of Vietnam. If the standard of self inflicted wound not getting a purple heart is used Kerry couldn't have gamed the system. The fact that he disgraced himself since he left the services highlights this.

And lets not forget he was still technically in the Navy the day he testified in front of Congress so he couldn't testify and he was a self admitted war criminal according to his own testimony.

The dishonorable discharge which he is trying to hide is just one of many things about his record we don't know.

But given the facts that we raised Yoni has no case to be praising John Kerry the way that Yoni praised John Kerry.

The purple hearts issue is a non-starter Walter... it's irrelevant. What's relevant is why did Kerry likely receive a dishonorable discharge from the Navy. The evidence for this is the fact that the only discharge papers available are dated in 1978, six years after his service ended... and that his service medals had to be reinstated... Only through a dishonorable discharge would the medals have ever been taken from his record...

The whole bit about what he did and whether or not he "earned" the purple hearts is a major distraction from the real, troubling issues regarding John Kerry's disservice to his country.

Yoni:

Keep in mind one of those purple hearts for John Kerry to use his own spokesperson was an, "Unintentional self inflicted wound" By all standards the purple heart isn't suppose to be awarded for self inflicted wounds.

One thing that the Swift Boat veterans did was ask these questions. Kerry's officer said he didn't put in for that purple heart. Now an examination of his naval record will help, but Kerry unlike President Bush has never allowed his record to be examined.

Yes, John Kerry was quite busy in 1971... busy stabbing veterans in the back and committing near acts of treason.

... his 1971 escapades (while he was still technically an officer in the Navy) is the big reason why his original discharge from the Navy in 1972 was probably "dishonorable"...

In 1971, Kerry was also attending a meeting in Kansas City of anti-American radicals who, at that meeting, began planning a conspiracy to murder sitting U.S. Senators.

Yoni, check your time line. In 1971, the year Coleman failed his draft exam, John Kerry was busy slandering the soldiers in Vietnam, throwing somebody's medals, and conducting clandestine meetings with the Viet Cong.

He wasn't out earning Purple Hearts... he had done that over the course of six weeks, two years earlier.

Contrast that to Norman Coleman. Has Coleman been honest about the reasons why he failed the New York Draft Physical?

Who's laughing about "restoring honesty," el p?

I laugh that some dim-wit liberal idiot has fallen for the tripe that honesty needs restoring... but I laugh harder at the idea s/he thinks John Kerry, a man whose entire life is a case-study in dishonesty, is the prescription for the job.

Hilarious.
