Everybody and their brother knows that the Democrats (along with 6 Republicans) overrode Pawlenty’s veto to raise the State’s gas tax 8.5 cents. So Hottip, the Democrats could not have passed this legislation, that I adamantly opposed, w/out the assistance of a Half/dozen R’s.
The point of entry #27, is that I was dumbfounded when Mrs. Coleman talked about how Norm voted against “special tax-breaks” for the “Big Bad Oil Companies”. The last time I checked, most oil companies make between 7-10 cents of profit per gallon while they get taxed through the nose by the State, Feds, and everyone else along the way. So hottip, since you believe I am a “Brain-Washed Moron”, enlighten me with you vast intellect by telling me what Mrs. Coleman is referring to.

Flat out disturbing! “Special tax breaks for the rich”. What are you talking about? The government makes more profit (tax revenue) on a gallon of gas than the “Big Bad” oil companies.
Who in their right mind thoght this corny pap would appeal to any conservatives who are disgusted with him on a whole host of issues.
I really hate to say this, but I have to agree with two-putt and say this is a lackluster effort at best!

The ad was not made last winter. The ad was just put together recently. The footage of Norm taking out the trash was shot during the winter. They’ve already admitted that Laurie was not in the room where the footage of Norm in his kitchen was taken. Her image was greenscreened in.

you need to lighten up. this is a great ad, especially when you consider franken’s view of women, be it so-called humor, wit, satire, etc.

norm alludes to his respect to women, franken to demeaning women. i have to believe most women will go ga-ga over this ad.

obviously this ad was made last winter (note snow in last scene) which gives it further credence as not trying to play on franken’s problems, but revealing he does not have a problem with working, or living with, strong female personalities.

I am a 30 year Republican supporter and contributor and I have to tell you I am embarrassed by this ad. This has the look and feel of an SNL ad. And what is with the corny music? Norm needs to start taking this race seriously or we are going to have some major problems holding on to his seat. Grow some balls Norm! Until you start putting out real ads, I am not writing any more checks. I don’t know who is advising you to put out this nonsense but you better get some people on board that know what they are doing. And, you better do it soon.

Michael, I have no problem with Mrs. Coleman. And the facts are: She was very proud of her 2004 story and pictures in the Washington Post – pictures that some people thought unseemly. She did indeed have a starring role in a one act play – that’s a recorded fact. The Coleman Family did/does have households in LA, St. Paul, and Washington DC – that’s a fact.

And the fact is, I wouldn’t be discussing this if your side hadn’t decided to use her in this ad.

But your side using Laurie in this ad shouldn’t surprise anybody; after all, Laurie shamelessly hyped her senatorial hubby in her hair dryer thingy business.

As much as you want to, Michael – you don’t get it both ways. You put her in play, now you deal with it.

the best thing norm has done this week is not the ad, but supporting offshore drilling, nuclear energy and coal to oil. not sure about anwr, but this is progress.

franken’s position, per his website, is more of the same dribble: renewables (which help starve the children)conservation, higher fuel standards–no mention of utilizing drill, drill, drill–just win,win,win with renewables.

coleman wins by 10+ unless franken starts realizing people count as much as polar bears.
