Al doesnâ€™t care about the People of Minnesota, I and many of my coworkers, friends and neighbors (democrats and republicans) feel he has a hidden agenda.
If elected he will abandon us for the causes of the Hollywood left and any socialist cause that will keep his name in the headlines.
He will be the third senator for California not the senator from Minnesota. He will be as ineffective as Mark Dayton was and no one in Washington will work with him to pass anything for fear of him doing something stupid in the media.
The word carpet bagger has been used may time in our discussions. People see threw the bull shit that he moved back here two years ago to help us. Why is it the Minnesota democrats are so desperate to win the senate seat they have to recruit a has-been comic from New York.

Also I am in independent voter and have been all my life. What I see the democrats doing here is pure desperation and we are looked at as a joke in politics around the United States. How do I know this? I talk to people around the country every day and what I am hearing is why would we elect another actor/ comedian to public office. Many laugh and think were absolutely nuts in Minnesota.

Norm has lived, worked and razed a family in Minnesota for 30 years. He has and will work for Minnesota every day. Leave his wife and kids out of the race.

It is not correct that Arkema Inc. is an oil and gas producer. It is a chemical manufacturer that owns a production plant in Blooming Prairie, MN. (Arkema was owned by an oil and gas company from 1989 to 2004, but was a chemical manufacturer itself.)

Investing in a company, especially through a secondary source such as a mutual fund, isn’t quite the same as accepting payments from a company directly. You should check your vitriol at the door and take a step back. For instance, I can make money by investing in Exxon but never buy their gas (I’m still pissed about the Valdez). I don’t care who Franken makes money from. If he makes decisions that are good for the people, maybe you should take notes from him!

Al Franken, Al Gore, and Imams who train terrorists have a lot in common. They all want their subjects to take actions they themselves are unwilling to take.

Al Gore doesn’t believe in energy conservation enough to actually reduce his own consumption. Imams don’t believe in their cause enough to blow themselves up. And Al Franken doesn’t really believe his bluster and bullshit about the evils of pharma, oil, etc. enough to divest himself of the investments or not to take their handouts.

Also, this list strikes me as a bit ridiculous. The GOP is attacking Franken because he received money from, for example, law firms which have clients that are oil companies? Many of these law firm are the premier Minnesota firms.

Isn’t that like attacking individual contributors to Franken because they drive cars and buy gas. It certainly seems different to me than, say, receiving money directly from the companies.

I’m confused, isn’t this a bad thing for Coleman not to trash companies just because he gets money from them? Give the guy some money and he’ll back off? Doesn’t it show some independence to bite the hand that feeds you? (Even if it weren’t in dispute that he’s actually fed by that hand).

I invite everyone to view and compare the details of Franken’s campaign contributions with Coleman’s, per the FEC itself. The above chain links of contributions are an utter distortion.

Check out a) the variance in the proportion of contributions of PAC v individuals between the two, and b) the absolutely gigantic laundry list of direct corporate PAC contributions to Coleman. Franken has NONE.
