MN GOP SCORES DIRECT HIT ON FRANKEN FRONT GROUP ‏ #2

By Michael B. Brodkorb | July 1, 2008

“CREW attacked

Officials with the Coleman campaign and the Republican Party responded Tuesday by characterizing CREW as a ‘front group’ for DFL Senate candidate Al Franken and Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC).

They pointed out that Melanie Sloan, CREW’s executive director, was the weekly ethics expert on Franken’s Air America radio show and that she worked as counsel for Schumer when he was in the House. State GOP Party Chair Ron Carey said that one CREW board member has contributed to the Franken campaign and another to the DSCC.” Source: Star Tribune, July 1, 2008

Michael, did you miss this line, from the story?

“Senate rules strictly prohibit most gifts and make clear that discounts for lodging may constitute a gift.

Ol’ Smokescreen’s got problems, and tryin’ to trash CREW won’t deflect from ‘em.

And Smokescreen’s landlord, Jeff “Landlord” Larson, has got even bigger problems.

Uncle Sugar doesn’t like it, when ya try to cheat on your property taxes. Jeff “Landlord” Larson might be feelin’ Uncle Sugar’s wrath….

As long as we’re trying to change the channel, Mikey, has Republicon Ron cleaned up his party’s finances yet?

How is attacking the group that just filed an ethics complaint against your candidate for borderline criminal negligence scored as a direct hit on anyone but Norm?

According to Draft Ciresi this is all in vain:

We are attacking the ethics of the ethics complainer.

Hey Flounder, I thought I would help you out this morning by posting for you:

Cheney(in), bootlickin, smokescreen, boy blunder, McSame, Republicon, Laurie Coleman, Abramoff.

There, I just saved you a lot of time and effort in being totally irrelevant this morning. After all, we wouldn’t want you to develop a hemorroid by thinking too much. With your weight, sitting on your brain all day could cause more problems than you already have (if that’s possible). It’s also the first of the month, which means it’s time to cash your government check and you could develop a nasty hangnail that might prevent you from signing. Look at the bright side though, you don’t have to sit on a bus all day from Gary, IN or Chicago in order to receive your check.

One last thing before I go to work. You know Founder, work? Sorry, I forgot you don’t know anything about that subject. I didn’t include “PX Towel Boy” in your post. I wasn’t sure if that was a real title or an honorary position you gave to yourself.

Anyway, you can thank me later for taking care of your postings for the day.

    Say, Rash Disptick?

You bootlickers hate it, when what ya do is done back to ya.

Which, of course, is but one more reason why GOP now stands for GreedOverPrinciples.

Well, coffee break over – back to work!

It is amazing how CREW only finds problems with Republicans. I mean, William Jefferson gets caught with $65K of bribe money in his freezer and CREW didn’t say a word. Not…a…word. MediaMatters anyone? At least MDE is properly named so you know what you’re going to get.

We have huge issues in this world and we spend how much time discussing writing for 20 year old SNL skits and now the fair going rate for a basement apartment in DC?

I’m sorry, but with the left trying to take all my money, F-up energy and food supply, control every decision in my life and far too many Republicans becoming spineless, the rest is all but pointless distractions. Sometimes entertaining, but pointless. MoveOn should get involved and…oh wait…

I’d like to say I’m shocked to see racism coming from a conservative anonymous poster. I’d like to say it.

So DJZ, how do the numbers look for CREW and Media Matters, Democrats verses Republicans?

I assume from your defiant words that it actually slants against Democrats, and Republicans are hardly paid any attention. Is that true?

How does it feel to have nothing to add? Does it really highlight your insignificance? Is it true?
