BREAKING NEWS FROM AP: “MILES LORD’S DAUGHTER TO CHALLENGE FRANKEN IN DFL PRIMARY”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | July 14, 2008

An attorney from a well-known family in Minnesota legal circles says she will challenge Senate candidate Al Franken in a Democratic primary.

Priscilla Lord Faris says she will file the paperwork to run in the September primary.

Lord Faris is the daughter of retired federal judge Miles Lord, who remains active in DFL politics. She is managing partner of a personal injury law firm.

Lord Faris says she has given money to Franken but isn’t persuaded he can take the seat away from Sen. Norm Coleman, the Republican incumbent. She says a primary campaign will sharpen the Democratic candidates and give Coleman a tougher challenge in November.” Source: Associated Press, July 14, 2008

So, if you’re a Democrat, you can have the choice of Al “Porn-O-Rama” Franken, an ambulance chaser named Ceresi or an ambulance chaser named Lord.

    Sweet.

Perfect. An expert in personal injury law to bring the battle to Franken. Perhaps she can call in some associates who are experts in Tax Fraud and Employee Compensation violations.

If she wins, maybe we can win the war on terror by doing the old slip-and-fall lawsuit scam against AQ.

oh god, what next? Maybe my son’s puppy will run against Franken and these other idiots. Makes me glad I support Coleman.

    Poor Al.

I’m sure he thought he could just roll back here and get whatever he wanted because he used to be a pseudo-celebrity.

Priscilla Lord Faris is the democrat’s Jack Shepard in this race.

Sure, she may be able to set foot in Minnesota without getting arrested, but her impact on the race will be similar.

We could really use more attorney’s in the Senate, you know. We barely have over, what, 60-70?

  8. Kyle Christensen Says:

From reading a bit his site, I’m pretty sure Jack Shepard is the Democrat’s Jack Shepard.

the good news is the libs can fight it out between now and sept. while norm stays above the fray–aka looking senatorial.

let’s hope the contest is mightily contested so their bank accounts for the general election look depleted come october.

  10. Barack McCain Says:

I’ll take an ambulance chaser over a career politician who will do anything to get elected. Such as start as a hippie anbd war protestor in college, move to being a moderate Democrat so he can become mayor of a large liberal city, switch to being a Republican so he can come off as a moderade choice for governor, move to the far right to appease Bush and Cheney for a senate run, then move back to being a moderate Republican as soon as Democrats take majority leadership. Funny that all of these switches occured as soon as public opinion went in those directions! And on the other hand we have a carpetbagger (Norm is one too by the way) comedian who isn’t funny and can’t pay taxes. Yes, I think I’ll take another ambulance chaser over those two.

  11. Barack McCain Says:
    July 14th, 2008 at 2:23 PM

So if you’re against putting another lawyer in the senate, then by that logic you should be voting for Franken. Don’t forget Norm was a lwayer too.

i give barack mccain credit for defining a successful politician, although i think he has the name wrong. it should be barack hussein obama (bho) rather than norm coleman. bho was for invading iraq, before he actually had to vote for anything related to it; he was against hand gun ownership until scotus said it was a constitutional right–then he said he was always for it; he was against nafta until recently when he now says it just needs some tinkering; he was for reverend wright until he needed to throw him under the bus; he was against fisa until he voted for it…. others can add more as i am running out of memory and time.

NO MORE LAWYERS IN GOVERNMENT!!! Only business people, engineers and busness professionals. People who have to make money by PRODUCING, make payrole and deal in FACTS.

    Personal Injury lawyers…please.

  14. Trompo Says:
    July 14th, 2008 at 3:16 PM

Didn’t she also run against Lori Swanson in the democratic primary in the last AG election?

I think she’ll be as much of a challenge to Al Franken as Jack Shepard will be to Norm Coleman.

  15. Yoni Says:
    July 14th, 2008 at 3:38 PM

Jack Shepard is a tool, a felon, and an anti-semite.

  16. Pete Says:
    July 14th, 2008 at 4:07 PM

Wow! I did’t know Jack Shepard was actually a Democrat! Thanks for pointing that out Yoni…

    nice Pete…
