COLEMAN HAS 13-POINT LEAD OVER FRANKEN IN NEW KSTP/SURVEY USA POLL
By Michael Brodkorb | July 14, 2008

According to a new KSTP/Survey USA poll released tonight, Senator Coleman is leading Al Franken 52% – 39%. I’ll have more on the poll later tonight on Minnesota Democrats Exposed.
UPDATE: Click here for the full story from KSTP and here for the complete survey results. Coleman is leading in every geographic region of the state cited. Coleman is also leading Franken among women and independents.
UPDATE #2: Rasmussen Reports released a poll tonight showing Franken with a two-point lead over Coleman. My reaction: there is no way that a poll which shows Franken leading Coleman among self-indentifed “conservatives” is credible. The poll makes no sense.

Survey USA is traditionally 10 points right of honest, so for them to say 13 tells me the race has tightened up significantly.
July 14th, 2008 at 5:59 PM
Here comes the spin from the liberal wack-jobs. Will it be the Stanley Hubbard conspiracy? Perhaps the in-the-bag for Republicans Media silliness.
Or…how about…people are getting serious about looking at candidates and hate Angry Al more and more with each passing day?
July 14th, 2008 at 6:01 PM
We have a BINGO! The clown LeRoy claims some statistical silliness. 13 points ahead means neck-and-neck.
HAHAHAHAHA!
July 14th, 2008 at 6:09 PM
Oh yes, LeRoy the LeTard..Survey USA sure is 10 points off “honest”. Of course, the TRUTH sorta doesn’t match your lying fantasyland:
2006: Survey USA has Klobuchar 56/40. Final results: Klobuchar 58/38.
2006: Survey USA has Pawlenty/Hatch tied at 45. Final results: Pawlenty 47/46.
2006: Survey USA has Bachmann 49/42. Final results: Bachmann 50/42.
Yep. Them there guys over at Survey USA sure do rig the polls to be 10 points in favor of Republicans.
Does it ever bother you, LeRoy the LeTard…that you are such a complete and utter ass?
July 14th, 2008 at 6:10 PM
Just in case LeRoy the LeTard needs actual PROOF before shooting his mouth off:

Oh, and LeRoy…Coleman is winning across every age and gender, and across all regions of the State. He’s KILLING Anrgy Al on the Iron Range and in the South. As I have predicted in this blog before, Grandma and Grandpa Farmer and Ole IronRanger look at Angry Al’s spew and see him for what he is. A loser.

Lets look at Survey USA and see if they deserve to be looked at as credible. From Real Clear Politics:
Rasmussen Obama +17.0
Quinnipiac/WSJ/WP Obama +17.0
Star Tribune Obama +13.0
SurveyUSA Obama +1.0
So, to be clear, two places have Obama by 17, the Strib has him up 13, and Survey USA has him up 1. Whose polling credibility should be in question?

So I have 3 cases that disprove you, LeTard. You have one that supports you. I’m not the assclown who thinks these polls are rigged. What other proof do you have, other than the IQ of a turnip?
July 14th, 2008 at 8:13 PM
bye bye Al.
July 14th, 2008 at 8:37 PM
Although D, we should really looking at their polling accuracy of this election cycle. Things can change from cycle to cycle and Leroy’s case of the presidential race is very telling. When you look at the individual demographic voting patterns for the presidential race, SurveyUSA shows McCain and Obama tied with the 18-34 year old age group, that is completely off. That right there discredits their polling of this state I think.
Also, new Rasmussen poll. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_senate_elections/minnesota/election_2008_minnesota_senate
44% Franken
42% Coleman
suck on that.
July 14th, 2008 at 9:08 PM
Also, the SurveyUSA poll shows Coleman leading the 18-34 year old age group 58-31, no way. They’ve consistently shown this group voting more Republican than what is plausible.

My goodness, Michael. I’ve been searching through today’s posts, and I haven’t seen anything about ASHWIN MADIA’S STUNNING FUNDRAISING VICTORY!
Despite all the advantages he had–a head start, PAC money, and fundraisers with Dick Cheney–Paulsen lost by $90,000. Pathetic.
Where’s your coverage? Didn’t you get the memo?

Are the liberal posters on here really so f’n stupid as to expect MDE to post about how some dumbshit DFL candidate raised more cash than his Republican competitor?
I mean, I know each of you Democrat retards lacks the intellectual capacity to process the reality around you, but do you have to display your common idiocy so blatantly? I’m talking about you Jeff — you dumb sonofabitch.
On the other hand, it’s good to know that the economy is so good that Democrats have nothing better to fritter their cash on than some stupid DFL candidate’s me too campaign.
In other news, Norm Coleman is killing Al Franken in the polls. It looks like Rasumussen is an outlier with its results, because all the others have Coleman up near or over 10 points.
Looks like all the cash in the Hampton’s and Hollywood (he’s not raising in from Minnesotans) can’t buy Al Franken a Senate seat. That dumb bastard’s going to have to return to telling rape jokes on a failed liberal radio station.
Suck on it DFL retards!
July 14th, 2008 at 10:15 PM
In all seriousness, I think the Democrats have just a bit too much confidence. It could be interesting — if it happens (and I ain’t saying it will — if they do about as poorly as they did in 2006.
I mean, in 2006, nearly all of their victories where decided by less than 1 percent. Enough to be sure, but hardly a “mandate.”
Since 2006, the Democrats have driven congressional approval ratings into the single digits, backtracked on every one of their campaing promises, and run the most do-nothing, corrupt and incompetent Congress in history.
Meanwhile, for president, they’ve nominated Barak Obama, a bimbo who hasn’t accomplished a damn thing in his life, and has proven himself to be little more than a liar, an ignorant fool and a crook. Still, despite non-stop media bias in his favor, Obama is running neck-and-neck against a Republican candidate who barely has the support of his party.
Like I said, the election could go Democrats way… but it ain’t lookin’ nearly as pretty as they think it is.

DFL = Dumb F@*# Loser
Jeff is your typical Moonbat wossy dipshit.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:43 PM
I love how there is no mention of the Rasmussen poll anywhere from Michael, at least the liberal blog (MN Publius) acknowledges there was a poll done by KSTP, even if it is not in favor of their candidate.
Maybe Michael’s coveted iPhone that he won’t stop bragging about doesn’t have access to Rasmussen, or better yet doesn’t access anything which he can’t use to spin reality…..

genius post, way to add to the conversation.

Yoni, there are 3 other polls that consistently show Coleman significantly ahead of Franken. How is it that you find reality in the out-lier?
Who is spinning?

Jeff: I’m happy that you can leave a comment on Minnesota Democrats Exposed.

if the franken libs want to “drink the kool-aid” is suggest they go to intrade.com and check out where the money is going. right now norm up 60/40 and trending upwards–obviously franken heading south.
just fyi bookies also have odds of obama 60/40 over mccain.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:49 PM
Coleman can’t do much better among GOPers; he’s got 94% with only 1% undecided. Meanwhile, Franken’s got plenty of upside with identified DFLers,, with only 77% saying they’re with him. Survey USA has 15% of the DFLers going for Norm, and the odds of that staying this way throughout November aren’t good – for Norm.

Kyle,
I am not running one of the most popular and visited political blogs in Minnesota, Michael is.

The first poll SurveyUSA did on the Bachmann-Wetterling race showed Rep. Bachmann with a 50-42 lead. The election results showed her winning 50-41, with 9 percent going to IP candidate John Binkowski.
In other words, you’re full of it.

That’s a good one Yoni. Trying to condemn someone for insults. It seemed to be OK when you were doing it to me.

Leroy claims “Survey USA is traditionally 10 points right of honest” and cites as evidence a comparison to other polls for an election that has yet to be held.
In response, D provides a link to 89 examples from 2006 where Survey USA was shown to be consistently in line with actual results – often in stark contrast to other polls (see MN Governor race).
I would call that: Advantage D.
July 15th, 2008 at 4:22 PM
Thanks.
July 15th, 2008 at 4:25 PM
That’s a good one Flound…I mean Tommy.
Here’s another way to look at it. 15% of DFLers are already, after seeing the horrible Al candidacy, running for the hills and voting for Norm. Al’s only one gaff away from losing more.

Poll shows that Lord Faris is within reach of winning the primary. Even if she doesn’t she is the best the dems have to offer. When they figure that out she will be the alternative to Norm. Franken is a total loser and the dems are starting to figure that out..,,,,,,,,
