My recollection is that I wrote something similar to NORM COLEMAN DOES NOT HAVE EXEMPLARY SERVICE. He went on a crash diet to avoid being drafted.

I can amend my statement to read that it APPEARS THAT or ACCORDING TO SOURCES or IT SEEMS THAT, etc. and provide the four or five before and after lines.

However, I think that looks even more damaging.

I can speculate about Norm having a conveniently timed eating disorder. However, I think that is even more damaging.

Perhaps the best thing is for Norm Coleman to have full disclosure.

- Norm Coleman in photos does not look too skinny.
- Norm Coleman is an anti-war protester.
- Norm Coleman takes a selective service [draft] physical in New York at his local Draft Board; rejected for being too skinny.
- Norm Coleman goes on to finish college, law school and does not seem to be too skinny.

Now, Norm’s son is apparently also going to Law School, and apparently also is not going to be in the US MILITARY.

SENATOR NORM COLEMAN DIDN’T SERVE IN THE MILITARY BECAUSE HE WAS DEEMED TO BE TOO SKINNY.

PERHAPS SENATOR COLEMAN WILL COMMENT WHY HE DIDN’T CONSULT A DOCTOR AND EAT MORE NUTRITIOUS FOOD TO GIVE THE MILITARY OTHER CHANCES.

Ciresi could have defeated Franken in the primary after a bloody fight, and then likely gone on to defeat Coleman. Oh well, Coleman for six more years. Thankfully, it won’t make that much a difference with Obama as president.

Franken will be dead in the water by September with all the things the Republicans will throw at him.
