DFL BOSS TRIES TO STRONG ARM LORD FARIS OUT OF RACE

By Michael B. Brodkorb | July 15, 2008

“One of the Democrats taking on the former comedian and radio show host is St. Paul lawyer Priscilla Lord Faris, whose father and brother both won statewide races decades ago. Lord Faris said a DFL Party leader she wouldn’t identify called her Monday to urge her to back down, but she refused citing polls showing Franken trailing Coleman.” Source: Associated Press, July 15, 2008

Even when some polls showing Franken ahead she still decided to file? Whoops.

And how about the one that shows Al down 13—or the one that shows him even with Ventura but 17 down to Coleman.

He is a disaster waiting to happen for dems.

Really? Do you think people don’t remember six years ago when Coleman was hand selected by Dick Cheney to run for this seat, and his potential primary opponent was told to step aside?

Seems to me there is a saying about glass houses and the folks who live in them.

    What was that again?

Hey Leroy, it would appear that you are the one standing in the glass house, biatch.

Or what about Ron Carey doing the same thing in the first district?

  6. John F Not Kerry Says:

    Leroy,

Norm won! Oh, and didn’t the guy who wanted to run for Senate end up as a 2(or more)-term Governor, with big possibilities on the national stage? Yeah, that was a bad thing, I guess.

  7. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    July 15th, 2008 at 10:37 PM

I agree. It turned out well for you all.

But lets be honest. If Wellstone lives, Norm would be in the midst of his second attempt to unseat him.

  8. John F Not Kerry Says:

“If” is a mighty big word. Being honest about “ifs” is impossible, because there is no way of knowing what might have been.

Maybe, but he died a death by fire. All evil is eventually destroyed by fire. I guess in the end everything worked out for the best.

  10. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    July 16th, 2008 at 9:57 AM

I guess that explains why Ronald Reagan was cremated , eh?

  11. Pete Says:
    July 16th, 2008 at 10:58 AM

Thats the best you got Tommy, er I mean Leroy?

  12. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    July 16th, 2008 at 11:58 AM

Yes Chestnut, er, Pete. It is.

  13. Pete Says:
    July 16th, 2008 at 2:41 PM

Sorry Leroy but is obvious to normal people that Chestnut is way smarter than me or you. Tommy on the other hand…

  14. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    July 16th, 2008 at 6:41 PM

Sure you are, Chestnut. Sure you are.

I bet you are more handsome than Pete also.

  15. Pete Says:
    July 16th, 2008 at 8:19 PM

    Who isn’t?

  16. Chris Says:
    July 16th, 2008 at 10:57 PM

    Leroy,

Ronald Reagan cremated??? Now that’s a new one. I guess that was an empty casket that was transported on AF One and buried in California.

  17. Pete Says:
    July 18th, 2008 at 6:31 PM

Leroy is burned out himself so he assumes everyone else is too. I kept telling him that anything called acid just can’t be good for you…
