Two Putz,

Sticks and stones can break my bones, but you are still an imbecile. It's pretty amazing that you of all people would call anyone a hatemonger. That's a joke that even Al Franken couldn't pull off. Frankly, I'm surprised you haven't been banned here because you offer nothing but personal attacks, name calling and all of the other crap purveyed by the Daily Kooks.

As far as Democrats being in charge and governing, they've had two years in charge of Congress and they haven't done squat. Since DemocRATs took over Congress, the approval rating has gone down to 9%.

Chris, you brain-dead-bootlicker, thankfully people in my party are in charge, and hatemongers like you are in Permanent Minority Status.

Voters don't like you and your kind, Chris. And they don't like the lying liars that lead your party, the GreedOverPrinciples party. But you and the rest of your angry and old white men party can sit around and bitch and whine. Meanwhile, Democrats will get to work at governing and fixing the (cheney)ups the misAdministration of Bush The Lesser created.

Two Putz,

I always knew you were full of excrement, but did you know that the last CEO of Freddie Mac was a prominent Democrat who was tapped by Obama to help vet his VP candidates? What was Jim Johnson's role in tanking Freddie Mac? And what about Al Checchi who asked for MN taxpayers to bail out Northwest Airlines and then left the state to run for Governor as a DemocRAT in California?

I've always thought your credibility was somewhere between zero and none, but the more you post the more stupid you look. By the way, I love how much you hate republicans and make mean spirited personal attacks on them. If I were as big of an a$$hole as you are, I'd say something about Kennedy's brain cancer. Thankfully, people in my party are a whole lot better than people like you.

Tell me, Oh Fat Azz libtard, what kind of business could survive with union leadership?

There is nothing greeder than a bunch of republiCons that run a business into the ground, and then goes hat-in-hand to his pals in the misAdministration for a taxpayer bailout.

BearSterns ring a bell, Peeker? And guess what's gonna happen at Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac?

You're such a dipstick.

Two Putz,

It's funny how you bitch and whine that Republicans have Jimmy'ed everything up. But at least McCain isn't running for a second Carter term, unlike Obama. As for greed, I can't think of anyone more greedy than all you Democrats wanting to steal everyone's money for the government.

Chris, what you bootlickers forget, is that it doesn't matter who wins the election between Obama and McCain; a Democrat is getting elected.

And based on past rhetoric, McCain is more likely to take your precious guns away than Obama.

It has to really suck - for you, knowing that after as bad as Boy Blunder (cheney)ed up, your party couldn't even endorse a real conservative and have a snowball's chance in hell of winning the general.

Face it - voter are rejecting the GOP because they don't believe a word you liars say, and your track record proves you won't govern the way you said you would.

Thank God that Democrats are taking control of all levers of government; but after as badly as the GreedOverPrinciples party (cheney)ed up, it'll be difficult to fix all the things GOPers broke.

I can't wait until McCain kicks Obama's ass this November -- not because I'm even a McCain fan but rather because I want to wipe that smug little liberal grin off your mug.

ROFLMAO!!! FatAzz Flounder used salon.bankrupt as a credible source BWAAHAA !

Lemme guess, you'd consider Sandy Burgler a great credit risk and let sinkmaster Clinton and Barney Frank watch your children? (If you could afford enough whiskey to get laid) maybe you'd use Gerry Studds as a back up sitter for your spoor?

"Congressional page sex scandal

Studds is remembered chiefly for his role in the 1983 Congressional page sex scandal, when he and Representative Dan Crane were censured by the House of Representatives for separate sexual relationships with a minor – in Studds's case, a 1973 relationship with a 17-year-old male congressional page. The relationship was consensual, but violated age of consent laws and presented ethical concerns relating to working relationships with subordinates.

During the course of the House Ethics Committee's investigation, Studds publicly acknowledged his homosexuality, a disclosure that, according to a Washington Post article, "apparently was not news to many of his constituents." Studds stated in an address to the House, "It is not a simple task for any of us to meet adequately the obligations of either public or private life, let alone both, but these challenges are made substantially more complex when one is, as I am, both an elected public official and gay."

Face it Flounder, you're a perfect example of why the libtards are only respected by the slackers and parasites in the US.

on income taxes you are incorrect. the system is overly progressive that it gets to the point of penalizing hard work, risk taking and capital investment.

someone that makes $10k or $50k or $100k will never pay a higher effective rate than someone that makes $500k.

you have totally ignored the fact that mn state income taxes are higher than federal taxes on low income familes. families of 4 earning $40k or less pay no federal income tax while they pay 2-3% mn income taxes.

so the question remains how can the dems cut income taxes on low income families when they don't pay any now?

further, just fyi, assuming you believe obama that he wants to repeal the "bush" tax cuts, the families of 4 that i referenced above will now pay $2k in taxes because part of the "bush" tax cuts was the child credit which is $1k per kid. and just so you don't think that is weighted in favor of the rich, the child credit (along with college tuition credits--another "bush" tax credit that will disappear if obama does what he says) is phased out for families making more than $125k.

i would support obama increasing the thresholds (say those making $250k) for when child/tuition/child care credits phaseout, but that is not what he has said.

"you missed the point. dems cannot give tax breaks to people that pay no taxes."

Again, this is illogical.

People making 0-120k, the targets of the Dem tax cuts, still pay taxes. Indeed, they pay a higher portion of their incomes in taxes than do the richest 1%.

Your argument relied upon a flawed statistical analysis. Saying the top 50 or so percent of the population pays the vast majority of DOLLARS into the tax system is like saying the sky is blue. Duh. They also make a crap load more money. Nor does that statement mean the bottom 50% don't pay money into the system.

What's key is the proportion to income. Lower and middle class experience a significantly higher burden in relative (and often actual) tax to income proportion.

There is significantly more work that can be done within the tax system to equalize the discrepancy in actual tax burden experienced by the lower and middle classes vs. the upper class.

ansel, if the premise of your argument is based on bullshit, you have no argument.

When you have to make shit up to make your point, your point isn't worth making.

And that is a big reason why your party is destineed for Permanent Minority Status; your party's leadership constantly just makes shit up.

The days when republiCons could proclaim a shit sandwich "tasty", and get away with it, are over.

"1. 97% of the income taxes are paid by those in the upper 50% income brackets; thus, the “poor” pay little, if any, income taxes so you can’t reduce something below zero."

This is such a stupid statistic. Have you stopped to contemplate why this might be? Let's start with the fact that almost a quarter of the nation's income is earned by the top ONE percent of the population. So, even if the tax rates were completely even, 1% of the population SHOULD be paying almost a quarter of the taxes.

Now let's look at the other side of the statistical distribution. The bottom 50% of the population only make about 10% of the income. Considering that a large chunk of these people make NO income (elderly, disabled, unemployed, etc.) it's not exactly shocking that their proportion comes in well below 10%. More importantly, the 50% of people you are harping about are making `40k, and most of them are distributed in high COL areas (coasts). The proportional burden on those individuals of taxes is SIGNIFICANTLY different than the burden on someone making 100s of thousand given the vastly lower (often completely absent) amount of discretionary income.

No, you wouldn't be embarrassed... because advocating the government make decisions for you because of non-believe in self-responsibility defines what it means to be a democrat.

i'm not sure if i have seen the new ad for franken that was reported on earlier. all i have seen in my tv viewing the last two days is the recycling of the ad where he is preying on the greed and envy crowd by saying norm sided with bush on giving only tax breaks to the rich.

there are several problems with that ad, although i doubt most libs would not understand it.

1. 97% of the income taxes are paid by those in the upper 50% income brackets; thus, the "poor" pay little, if any, income taxes so you can't reduce something below zero.
2. according to ted kennedy only the rich received tax breaks from bush tax cuts; thus, since individuals making $28,000+ received tax cuts/higher tax credits, the rich according to the dems are those people making more than $28,000.
3. a family of 4 can make approx. $40,000 and pay no federal income tax--now ask your mn state legislator what they would pay in mn income taxes? the answer may surprise you, but i will give you a hint: it is more than $1,000, depending on itemized deductions.

if i was a dem, i would be embarrassed that you support having to have the government make decisions for you because apparently you do not believe in self-responsibility.
