You may think how you “feel” about this race is an important indicator of how the race is going, since you “live here” and all, but I have to disagree.

Plus, it’s 5-6x more expensive to run an effective advertising campaign in the TC Metro Area than it is in all of the markets Walz had to advertise in, combined.

I could go on, but I hope you get the point. Money doesn’t win elections, vision does. And John Kline is trying to hide behind Norm as the poster child for Bush rubber stamping. But the curtain will be pulled back in due time, and we will see if he has enough money to overcome a thoroughly disappointed electorate.

Perhaps the ability of a candidate to inspire other to contribute money means nothing to you, but not everyone lives in “Leroy’s World”.

When I hear from an out-of-stater who uses fundraising totals as a crutch to rank a race, I am prone to listen to what he has to say. Afterall, no amount of living here, or seeing the Gutknecht-like fear on the faces of Kline staffers can trump a rather cursory look at the fundraising totals.
