COLEMAN FOR U.S. SENATE PRESS RELEASE: “WHO’S CALLING WHO A LIAR? NEW AD ATTACKS COLEMAN AS FRANKEN FALLS FURTHER IN PUBLIC POLLS”
By Michael B. Brodkorb | July 21, 2008
Saint Paul - The following statement was released today by the Coleman for Senate Campaign on Al Franken’s new attack ads on Norm Coleman:
“Al Franken’s so quick to call everyone who disagrees with his liberal positions a liar, that he’s forgotten what the truth actually looks like. Where the truth doesn’t support his claims, Al Franken has taken to deliberate distortions and attacks on Norm Coleman,” said Coleman for Senate Campaign Manager Cullen Sheehan. “His new attack ad distorts the Senator’s position on tax relief for middle class families, ignores Al’s own initial support for the war in Iraq, and is misleading about the tens of thousands of dollars Franken has received from special interest PACs. Minnesotans are coming to know Al Franken, and the more they know, the less they like. Minnesotans expect and deserve the truth from their representatives, and Al Franken is proving he can’t even air an attack ad that tells the truth.”
The More You Know: Franken’s Support For The War
Franken: “I was originally for the war; I wish we had gone in differently. When I hear Colin Powel’s speech at the UN, I believed him because I respected Colin Powel and believed he was incredible I think he misled us, I think it was the most disgraceful day of his whole career, but I think that there’s blood on their hands, on the hands of this administration.” (Al Franken: God Spoke, New Video Group, 2007)
Franken: “Our Military Is In Iraq Now And Will Be There For A Long Time. We Have No Choice.” (Al Franken, Lies And The Lying Liars Who Tell Them, 2004, p. 377)
Franken: “In Reality, The War Is Costing Us A Billion Dollars A Week. And We Will Have To Be There For Years.” (Al Franken, Lies And The Lying Liars Who Tell Them, 2004, p. 378)
Would’ve Voted For Use Of Force In Iraq. “I think I would have voted for the use of force because I would have believed, I believed Colin Powell. I didn’t have any reason to think I couldn’t believe Colin Powell. I didn’t have a reason to believe the administration would be misleading. And they did.” (Al Franken Show, Air America Radio, May 1, 2006)
Franken: “I’m not sure we should set a timetable myself. I may actually, oddly enough, agree with Bush here.” (Al Franken, “The Al Franken Show,” June 16, 2006)

It’s not an attack ad, first of all. The first part of your post actually doesn’t discredit what was said at all. Then this obnoxious list afterwards - is really reaching pretty far. Why don’t you list me on there? I donated fifty bucks to his campaign and I purchase fuel for my car at Super America, BP *AND* Holiday.

This Article is incorrect.
$2,000 to IMPACT from Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP
· Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP has represented Big Oil and Big Pharma: Biovail Corp.(Source: CQ Moneyline, http://www.cqmoneyline.com/) (pharmaceutical), Gas Technology Institute, Johnson & Johnson Shared Services Inc. (pharmaceutical), Neuromolecular Pharmaceuticals, Rentech Inc (petroleum/exploration) and Sanofi-Aventis US Inc. (pharmaceutical).
I can’t speak for all of these companies but Rentech IS NOT OIL COMPANY. They produce synthetic fuels and do not do ANY petroleum or exploration. They are considered a GREEN company.

From Rentech’s website:
The Company accomplishes this through the implementation of its patented and proprietary Fischer-Tropsch Technology. More commonly referred to as coal-to-liquids or gas-to-liquids, the technology converts synthesis gas, a combination of hydrogen and carbon monoxide made from natural gas, coal, petroleum coke or biomass, into ultra-clean fuels and chemicals.
Coal and what coke?

Didn’t MNGOP already try this “yeah, well, he got money from groups who got money from groups that supported Big Oil once” strategy and get laughed out of the press room?

How exactly has Al Franken fallen further in the polls?
Seems to me, Rasmussen was the last poll released publicly, and it had Franken leading by 2.
If this is falling, I can’t wait until Al Franken falls right out of this race, and into the US Senate.

Yep - they got laughed out of the press room.
I was there; one reporter looked at the crap the GOPers handed out, and proclaimed loudly: “well, well, well. I guess Franken fill his tank, sometime.”
The snickers were loud.

“I was there…”
You looking to swipe John “There I was” Kerry’s nickname Cheeto Boy?
The only snickers you ever hear are the ones you stuff into your pie hole to wash down a big ol’ bag o’ Cheetos.

Swiftee-
We get it. You hate people who are overweight.
Do you have anything of value to add anymore, or are you just planning on turning this into your own personal Richard Simmons commercial?

They person [Mr. Mars] who invented “Snickers” and “Mars” candy bars is buried in Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Perhaps Swiftee should visit his gravesite and offer an apology.

Leroy, here’s the deal: Scrotee just hates, and he’s lovin’ it. It’s what makes him happy.
That’s why he’s so happy as a GOPer; it’s the party of angry old white men.
“It’s a sick world, and Scrotee’s a happy guy.”

Say, “el p”?
If anyone owes Mars an apology, it’s Cheeto boy. Mars never meant for his confections to be used as a diet staple.
3:04 am and Cheeto Boy is still sitting at the computer down in mom’s basement with male genitalia on his mind. Franken really knows how to pick ‘em, don’t he?
Hahahahaaaa!!
