Oh no … Al Franken has been attacking us. In other news, Franken is a pornographer tax evader.

In all seriousness though, does MnGOP think this change is strategy makes sense? Isn’t the only chance the GOP has of beating Franken to keep this about non-issues and make it as dirty of a race as possible? Like it or not, Coleman is on the wrong side of the popular vote on Iraq, the economy, Iran, and energy. It’s not the year for republicans to run on the issues.

How do you get all of your tax evading, porn writing, raunchy jokes in the spotlight while attacking far less negative attacks?

MnGOP really is sealing its own fate.

Nobody at the legislature listens to Marty Siefert nor Dave Senjem when they are acting in their official capacities.

Why on earth would anyone listen to them when they are campaigning for a wholly unimpressive Senator?

The Republicans need to disassociate themselves from George Bush and McCain. Franken is the last hope. Wellstone crys out for Franken to win. We will never know–but most people believe that Wellstone was distroyed by the Republican Party. We can not let this happen to Franken

That’s the best the GOP has? A couple guys bringing up that Franken told a joke and has spoke out and wrote about the hypocrisy in Washington?

Hopefully they’ll be able to dig something up about how much better off their constituents are in the last 5 years with Bush/Coleman. I think Minnesotans will see right through this one.

Leroy is correct… this press conference is about as exciting to the press corp as mowing my lawn.

It’s called keeping the issue before the voters.

    It works.

  8. Aaron Says:

Not sure how the issue of “30 years” of exposing the lies of the right wing really plays in their favor. I bet they’ll just try to distract Minnesotans from the issues. We’ll see in a couple hours.

  9. Leroy Jenkins Says:

It’s called keeping the issue before the voters.

    It works.

It is only keeping it in front of the voters if more than one voter happens to be walking past the empty room when they say it. If you think this is going to lead, or even get page 21D, you are crazy. Michael’s blog is the most coverage this non-event will get.

Well then you’ve got your panties all wadded up for nothing don’t you, Leroy?

    Sims,

I think you need to strap down your tin-fiol hat a little tighter.

Following Franken there are more down-grades than the road into Denver!

Whew! Is there a full moon out tonight?
