KSTP REPORTS ON MN GOP’S PRESS EVENT ABOUT FRANKEN’S CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE JOKES

“Sen. Norm Coleman’s campaign is focusing on DFL challenger Al Franken’s character.
Franken’s campaign is trying to focus on issues it claims Minnesotans are most concerned about.
‘What kind of man writes this kind of filth and performs this kind of filth?’ questioned Republican Party Chairman Ron Carey.
Republicans cranked up their Franken time machine again, this time blasting him for a joke he told about child sexual abuse at a New York City comedy event eight years ago.
‘Do you sit there and think about child abuse as something that’s funny? Do you think about raping women as something that’s funny? What does it say about a person and their character?’ Carey said.” Source: KSTP, July 29, 2008

Ron Carey, MN GOP Chairperson, spent HIS WEDDING ANNIVERSARY personally watching AL FRANKEN’S DFL ENDORSEMENT in Rochester, Minnesota.
Now, some weeks later Ron Carey asks at least four (4) questions? Two that contain the word “filth.”
Ron Carey’s [former] behavior doesn’t seem to be congruent with his [later] statements.

I just read the Tribune and not one mention of this. A little disappointing. Not on WCCO either. I assume the Coleman campaign will do an ad. Just one more nail in the coffin of the Franken campaign. Drip, drip, drip——–He has now hit the trifecta of tastelessness: child abuse, rape, and child bestiality.

Why are you shocked NO OTHER news media picked it up? KSTP is a republican hack, the Twin Cities own Fox News. It’s no wonder they are in the tank on ratings when the best they can do is run news of a republican press release.
