LORD FARIS SAYS FRANKEN DOES NOT HAVE MINNESOTA VALUES
By Michael B. Brodkorb | July 30, 2008
“Priscilla Lord Faris is competing on the democratic ticket. She said she entered the race because she doesn’t think Franken can beat incumbent Norm Coleman. Lord Faris said Franken is too controversial and does not have MInnesota values.
‘I’m the solution, I’m the Minnesota candidate,’ said Lord Faris. ‘If we stay on this path Mr. Coleman will be elected.’
Lord Faris is a former teacher and lawyer who opened her own private practice in the Twin Cities. If elected, she said she wants to cut health care costs and increase the use of renewable energy.” Source: WDIO, July 29, 2008

Don’t forget the GOP candidate too! Jack Shepard says:

Also don’t forget:
During the Vietnam War Norm
Coleman was a pot-smoking,
hippye freak activist leader who
refused to serve in the Vietnam
War in accordance to U.S.
Policies in the military, but now
sends everyone to fight in the
Iraq War.

Jack Shepard says Senator Norm Coleman does not represent the people for Minnesota; he only represents Big Business who contributed over $15 millions to his re-election.

Lord Faris is a crafty little one with her wordsmithing.
You see, she’d be making a false accusation (in Franken’s world) about Franken’s values by saying he doesn’t have “Minnesota Values” except for the fact that it is much bigger than just “Minnesota Values.”
What Franken has is “Midwest Values.”
After all, he has a PAC that received a huge fine that is named after his “Midwest Values.”
By saying he doesn’t have “Minnesota Values,” Lord Faris can avoid getting sued by Franken’s thug lawyers because of the technical correctness of the statement while still getting her point across.
Very crafty.

Has anyone told Lord Faris that her biography reads like an obituary? Is she paying her website operator by the word?
“Born in Minneapolis, raised in the western suburbs. Daughter of well-known Federal Court Judge Miles Lord and Maxine Lord. University of Minnesota graduate. Worked on the staff of Senator Hubert H. Humphrey in 1963 and campaigned for the Senator in his run for President in 1968. Passionate about youth and youth athletics. Served on the staff of Young Life in Washington D.C. Taught third grade and special education. Member of League of Women Voters. Earned a law degree from Hamline University. Married to Wayne Faris, attorney. Mother of three.”

Love, Demoncrats eating their own. What they won’t do to get Anal Al elected.
July 30th, 2008 at 10:24 AM
… or, it’s just a reflection of her not being a serious candidate. Her website looks like a 3rd grader did it in intro to the web class. Even Shepard looks more established than her.
July 30th, 2008 at 10:40 AM
Nope, its because you will do or say anything to get Anal Al elected. Admit it, your only objective is to get Anal Al elected.
July 30th, 2008 at 10:49 AM
You’re right, Pete. We should all get behind Prissy and vote for an inferior candidate just to prove a point to all you republicans who keep calling us names.
SERIOUSLY. The level of fear coming out of republicans when it comes to Norm’s chances this fall is tremendous considering how all the polls have him with a comfortable lead.

“your only objective is to get Anal Al elected”
Ahhh.. DUH?
Of course I’d rather see Franken elected than Coleman. I’m merely pointing out that Lord Faris isn’t a threat to that desired goal.
July 30th, 2008 at 11:55 AM
Like I said you only want to get Anal Al elected. It does not matter that he thinks sexual child abuse and raping women is funny. You are willing to overlook anything just to get another extreme left Senator elected. You people make me sick.
July 30th, 2008 at 12:00 PM
Funny, Pete.
I have never heard you say one reason why anyone should vote for Norm. No policy initiatives that inspired you. No tough votes he took to make Minnesota better. All I hear is that he is not Al Franken. And given Norm has been a total failure, I am taking that as a positive thing.
July 30th, 2008 at 2:26 PM
Pete, Im sorry I vote based on issues and public policy instead of a bunch of stupid jokes Franken told almost a decade ago. I guess I am a sorry piece of shit for actually caring about how my Senator will vote.
July 30th, 2008 at 2:56 PM
Andrew, so sexual abuse of a child isn’t a concern for you? Raping women isn’t a concern for you? Those aren’t issues for you? Shit happens, right? Why not vote for guy who thinks these things are funny – he certainly does seem to share you values. These are issues for normal people but I can see how they mean nothing to you. What happens in your house when the doors a closed and the curtains are drawn?
July 30th, 2008 at 3:16 PM
If Al Franken had DONE any of the things you mentioned, I wouldn’t vote for him.
Similarly, if Norm Coleman had done ANYTHING while in office, I would have considered voting for him.
July 30th, 2008 at 5:18 PM
Exactly Leroy, Franken said a bunch if stupid things that have now come back and bit him in the ass. He didnt do any of the things he joked about and I know he isnt out there running on a platform of raping woman and tripping the elderly or something. They are a bunch of jokes/satirical pieces he said/wrote a decade ago and I’m over it. His jokes dont hurt me or my friends, Norm Coleman’s votes certainly do.
July 30th, 2008 at 7:15 PM
So what if Lord Faris has a crappy website, she has the issue of electability on her side. And she is a talented, decent lady who hasn’t shaken down Hollywood and New York City to buy the most expensive website engineers. Just look at her statements, biography and life performance and you will find quality. Watch her—she can win this thing.
July 30th, 2008 at 10:00 PM
So jokeing about sexual abuse of children and raping women doesn’t hurt anybody? How about victums of the abuse? How about someone who is already unstable hearing Anal Al talk about it like its ok to do? How about young people who hear someone who could be a US Senator joking about it like it is funny? You guys really don’t give a rats ass about anything but getting the Democrat elected – no matter how disgusting that person is.
July 31st, 2008 at 12:18 AM
Who are the Trio of characters featured in the second in a possible series of Norm’s back alley bowling bonanza?
July 31st, 2008 at 10:35 AM
Pete, I’m sure if your candidate had the same baggage, you’d look past it to. Deny it and you are full of shit.
We are all normal sensible people who vote based on the issues because we are at least somewhat informed, we will always look past the personal baggage of a candidate because we like how they will vote (or like the other guy less in your case anyway).
If Norm Coleman had said a bunch of inappropiate jokes that are meant for adults who know the difference between joking about it and actually doing it, then you’d still be voting for him and defending him as well.
And in my defense, I sure as hell didnt want Franken to be our nominee because this is a legitimate factor to use when influencing people who don’t based on issues but more on the personality and the tabloid like bullshit that comes out.
